Against the Devil

From Javanesse town, JoyDaG, Madhu, and Nija head to Semar city. The location of the next mission. Nija became a driver for them as usual.

"Why don't we ask Theria to help us arive sooner?" asked Madhu, who often acted recklessly. He had made the request to Theria but was immediately prevented by JoydaG.

"Obviously unnecessary because it is tantamount to opening up the opportunity for the enemy to receive the signal of their existence," Nija replaced JoydaG to reply.

"Ah, sorry, I didn't think so far," Madhu said in a tone that had no regrets at all. He thought Theria's power couldn't be that easy to detect so their talk was just nonsense.

"What do they say about this Hole in Semar?" asked JoydaG.

"We have an hour before we get there, so we better use this trip to create strategize against that Hole."

"The hole this time is red," said Nija, who fully agreed with JoydaG. He then handed his smartphone to JoydaG. He directed JoydaG to the storage gallery to see images sent by their colleagues from the location. JoydaG opened it according to the instructions and then wrinkled it. Joy then listened to the incoming voicemail.

"We can't last long! We were just lucky to be able to stop him right in front of his exit! Hurry up! otherwise, he will get to the surface!" said Madhu.

JoydaG darted.

"Red hole," JoydaG murmured.

A hole is an exit door for underworld creatures to the surface world. Hole must pass through the shadow world, where JoydaG and the others will stop them before they get to the surface.

There are three types of holes they have faced. Holes of yellow, blue, and red colors. Usually, a yellow hole will appear if a plant-like creature appears. They belong to weak creatures, but if there are a lot of them then it can be troublesome. They should not appear in the surface world because they are meat-eaters of all kinds of living things and including humans. The yellow hole hasn't appeared for a long time, because the Mantis leadership managed to kill their boss.

Then the blue Hole, signifying the exit of the Orgs, a low-class demon who was originally a human but greedy and finally now they are only servants to their upper-level demons whose appearance will be marked with the Red Hole.

Nija's smartphone sounded again. There are two pictures coming in. In the picture, it shows many members who are already sprawled helplessly. JoydaG recognizes some people. Among them was someone standing swaggeringly facing three of their other members who still looked able to survive.

"The devil has a human face," JoyDaG said in a soft voice so that it was not heard by the others.

"What's in the message?!" Madhu turned his head and snatched the smartphone.

"Woy, couldn't it be faster?" The impatient Madhu ruled Nija.

"We'll be there late! Argh! we should have asked Theria to just send us there! can be faster!"

"Calm down Madhu! although we can get there sooner, without knowing who our enemy is, we will still lose. There is a good thing we are not there now, at least we know who we are going to face because they continue to transmit data," JoydaG said leaving Madhu speechless.

Madhu has a point, but this sucks. I don't want to lose more colleagues. Even if they can recover as before after resting, if they die, they can't be resurrected anymore, no matter what effort we have made.

Madhu recalls some events in the past when he was paired with another group. Two of his comrades died in the fight, somehow he was still able to recover even though it took a very long time. Madhu clenched his fists. He didn't want to argue with JoyDaG.

"So, what plan do you have?" Madhu saw JoydaG from the rearview mirror of the car that was already driving faster than before.

Nija also wants to get there quickly and help the team. He felt the same uneasiness as Madhu. He also once lost his partner to the devil. Although the demon was finally defeated, he had lost his comrades. After that, he took a fighting break for some time, until then he felt ready to return. When he returns, he is united with Madhu and JoydaG who are said to have been fighting alone because they did not want to join the others.

From another point of view, there are rumors that JoyDaG is not wanted in any group. It is still a mystery why now JoydaG wants to be combined with him and Madhu. He felt that if JoydaG refused the appointment time, one group with Madhu would be enough. After all, JoyDaG is a cold woman who when fighting is like having fun.

"Will they be able to hold it until we arrive? this creature seems to be stronger than our peers," Nija said.

"I think they can bear it, they say so, then it should be," JoydaG's words sounded cold and there was no empathy.

Madhu snorted.

"I don't doubt the strength of our comrades, but it's also best not to underestimate the enemy," he glanced at Nija but it seemed that the words were not aimed at Nija.

"We can do our best, once we get to it, just do it according to the plan that JoyDaG designed. If he's made it through the defenses of the guys, we can beat him up on the surface."

"We're going to do it from there," JoydaG said coldly.

"What?!" Madhu was taken aback.

"This type of demon will be a little weak when it just comes to the surface," JoydaG said to corroborate his own opinion.

"None of us don't know that, but if it can still be defeated in the shadow world, then it's better there that way there will be no impact on the surface world. One creature making it to the surface even if it's just a short while will interfere with frequency, are you sure it's the best?" The still level-headed Nija responded to JoydaG's opinion opposed by Madhu.

"Not because it's the best, but because we won't have a chance to join the others, keeping it from getting to the surface from shadow freaking out," JoydaG said, she opened up the fact there was a worst-case scenario where their friends lost.

Nija understands what JoydaG meant, but it seems that Madhu does not. He growled. He dislikes it the most when someone underestimates the power of others. Madhu too loudly reacted to JoydaG who actually didn't underestimate them but took into account the worst that could happen.

Judging from the photos sent out, they have run out of energy, while the time we have to take to get there still takes another half an hour. In half an hour, will they still be able to survive? it's really lucky if it can still be, Nija thought.

The fact that they sent such a message meant that the creature had already reached the seventh layer, the last layer before finally being in the surface world. The layer is so close to the surface world that it can take advantage of electronic signals to send messages, just like the Sunshine Store.

That place is in the world of seven-layer shadows. It is also because of this that we can still receive messages. If you have entered the Melianor Mansion, you must no longer be able to do it. The actual location of the Melianor Mansion is not in Javanese Town.
