Dark Side of Elijah's Plan

Bibi's messages before leaving for Switzerland with Elijah were played back by JoydaG's memory. Her body was tense as she listened and looked back at the scene of her meeting with Bibi.

"What's joy?" asked Madhu.

He patted Joy's shoulder gently. There was a hint of terror in his question.

So now he dares to more honestly show his concern for JoydaG, Nija thought, Madhu's every move for Bibi now has not gone unnoticed by her. No matter how small it is for her, it is an interesting pastime. He didn't want to think about what happened later, the most important thing is that now if there is a love story between the two, his own life will feel sweet because of being a witness to romance in the midst of impossibility. Their lives are like the main characters who are in dramas of the thriller genre, so romance will never be the main topic.

JoydaG came to her senses from her reverie. Gradually and uncertainly, he revealed what he had just thought. Madhu and Nija listened seriously. They were quite surprised to hear JoydaG's confession.

"Elijah planned to kill Bibi?" Nija became frontal after hearing it.

"What's the reason?"

"I don't know either. I wasn't given a chance to ask. As I said, she was a bit in a hurry and ended the conversation by telling me to meet up with Max or Melianor, as if she was telling me that the two could solve the problem between her and Elijah."

"What kind of problem it is, I don't know, it's just... I felt that the matter was very complicated, to the point that she was spinning around like that. I mean, why didn't she just tell Max right away when she had the opportunity. Before leaving, I think she had a chance to meet and talk to Max. What's the reason for having to get me involved?" JoydaG was finally able to express her confusion during this time.

"You're right. Why should she leave her mobile phone to you? Why didn't she just give it to Max when the opportunity arose or reveal what she knew from Elijah's plans all along against her?"

"Besides, How did she know Elijah hired one of the Mantis agents to kill her?" NIja outlined the same confusion felt by JoydaG. Instantly he seemed to be able to feel JoydaG's feelings all along and finally, he got an answer to the strange expression JoydaG showed when she wanted to see Melianor and Max. He couldn't forget how JoydaG seemed to be investigating them secretly.

"How about this..." Madhu suddenly spoke like a detective. "How about we try to act like Bibi so that we can decipher the content of her thoughts?"

Nija and JoydaG then followed Madhu's direction.

"If I were Bibi, who was now being pursued by something, let's say the enemy wanted me a power that had been hidden, I loved Elijah and might not want to involve Elijah so I thought going abroad could be one of the solutions to hide Elijah."

"However, suddenly I got word from the Mantis officials that Elijah hired an assassin to kill me. We all know how the higher-ups admitted Bibi, one of those who received the order, likely told Bibi."

"Then Bibi suspected, the person who rented it was not Elijah, but someone else who disguised themself as Elijah, and then just in case something bad really happened at least I had already left you a message, Joy."

"She didn't want to risk too much to assume her own daughter had the heart to plot murder against her and then tell Max all that. We all know Max's relationship with Elijah, Max behaves like her guard, so this is my other guess what if Elijah actually cooperated with Max to get rid of Bibi? But what were Max and Elijah's motives? Bibi may be in such a feeling of indecision and suspicion, therefore she can't tell Max about it let alone to Melianor."

The long explanation made Madhu have to take a deep breath before resuming. He had time to observe in advance the faces of his two colleagues.

"There is one more big question, why did Elijah want to kill her?"

"This would be a big drawback of his cautious attitude, then the safest way to leave that message yes only to you, Joy, her student, and maybe she considers you more than that. She might think you can protect her. Then she clearly implies that you should look for the agent hired by Elijah if there is really a murder of her."

"You're right, it's possible that someone else posing as Elijah had hired that Mantis agent to kill Bibi," JoydaG spoke calmly, there was relief implied in it. She really didn't want to think Elijah really wanted to kill her own mother.

What crazy thing was the motive for the plan when it was true?

"In that case, we have additional work. We must secretly look for evidence and find out who is the Mantis agent sent to kill Bibi with this booker on behalf of Elijah," Nija reveals the outline of their new mystery.

Madhu angsted.

"Why do I feel like we're going to fight mantis soon," Madhu murmured strongly.

JoydaG and Nija pondered the words.

"Humm. The Mantis is a strange organization that houses dying, strange, uneducated people but each has the advantage of supernatural powers. They cultivate that supernatural talent in each person, making them soldiers guarding the surface world against the threat of the underworld."

"We get the nickname of the shadow army by the official government. Most of the members of the Mantis are Drafts, humans who turn into killing machines, guards, etc. according to the lord's decision. A small part of it is pure human-like Joy and me, and some are half stealth like you," Nija said, raising his chin at Madhu.

"Very unique isn't it? And I think if we find an agent that Mantis ordered or sent to commit murder as Ordered by Elijah, we will know what problems are looming over Auntie."

"Then, as long as we can find that agent we can know Mantis's involvement in this disappearing Aunt," JoydaG said, her voice sounding depressed.

Oh shit! I couldn't think of what danger lurked, looming over Bibi all along. Why is she so quiet and tidy every time she keeps a secret?

JoydaG gasped.

"Then, the bigwigs of Mantis..." she wouldn't continue it. Madhu and Nija looked at her seriously. They had expected it, possibly someone tried to kill Bibi but made Elijah an excuse.

"That's why we have to do this investigation secretly," Nija said.

JoydaG experienced a gaffe over Madhu and Nija's attitude.

"Why do you guys want to do it?"

"My reason may not be directly related to Bibi's case. I'm just interested and curious. The other thing… we know Mantis is a secretive organization. Our way of working has always violated constitutional law but has never been executed by an official government. The mantis seems to be very powerful. I want to know how they know there are Holes and supernatural cases every time, I want to know their secrets. While figuring out the truth behind Bibi's death, I want to discover the secret. My main goal is to find out who the real founder of the organization is," Nija explained the reason.
