Being Productive
"Though... you'll have to wait a bit till I can set it up I just recently truly awoke so you have like a week to do whatever till I sort things out since I'm pretty much a noob at this whole concept thing."
Some time passed and Connor and Mask talked about various things concerning Connor's training, taking into account his preferred methods of doing various things and finding common ground in what would be assigned to him though Mask ended up having greater negotiation skills so Connor was left a little glum.
"K then I'm sending you back to sleep Connor everything should be prepared in a week."
"Got it, can I come back here to ask questions when I want to?"
"Nope, you're not skilled enough in handling our abilities, but the quests I'll be giving you are going to rank up in difficulty over the years so I'd recommend you study up on various things particularly the world's geography, political and socio-economic landscape that clear with you? I could even turn it into a quest for you if you want."
"Sure I don't mind receiving a quest, especially since I know I'm lacking in general knowledge from learning about concepts families and the crescent tower but will you add any reward for doing this?"
"There's no reward for now I'll add something once the whole system is set up, for now just say 'quests' when you wake up it'll be written."
"Alright, thanks Mask... for this chance."
"Well it's not like I'm the one going to put in the effort and I'm not going to go easy on you, who knows maybe you'll hate me."
Connor nodded he still only technically met Mask a couple of hours ago so he's still wary, especially after that freezing attack and the fact is that he doesn't know the person behind his concept well at all, better to be safe than sorry.
"Ooookay~ Mr. Jobs I'll see you next time goodbye~!"
Connor simply blinked and he found himself sitting up straight in a futon on the floor with daylight practically stabbing his eyes through non-existent curtains. Looking around he was in an empty room with a backpack.
Outside his room door, his aunt was preparing breakfast using what little kitchen equipment they had at that time. A delicious scent wafted towards Connor,
"Aunt Faye! You making pancakes?!"
"That's right you rascal, now sit there I set a temporary dining space."
While his aunt made breakfast he remembered the night he just had and spoke,
"Quests."

System Note: Read up on the so-called concept families if you finish early, also avoid opening any system-related tabs in the front of people who've reached mana level 3 or more. They cannot see it like you can but can see it in your eyes if they focus enough.
Connor read through the blue-coloured screen in front of him, making sure to look at his aunt not looking at him, and closed the screen by clicking the 'close' button on the bottom. Waiting to enjoy his pancakes.
On the first day however before he would begin taking his time to organize the stuff, he needs for moving from the bar back home. His aunt and him worked out their various issue like his pocket money would increase to around 1800 daltons, half that he could use for food and the other as he pleases.
For the next few days, he set out to finish his first quest, he learned the names of all 12 continents being named after the astrology signs that were once used however the original placement of the stars was now lost for some unknown reason.
Connor and Arias city was located in Virgo which has 21 countries. He currently lives in a country called Bene (ben-ay). He ended up spending 4 of his remaining 6 days memorizing the names. Not particularly paying his full attention to it as he procrastinated by watching videos on Tune1n and streams on River an ironic name.
Though he did get time to also read up on the most recent news and find out more about the history of various places by watching some simplified, yet entertaining videos. He ended up learning quite a bit, it turned out to be a mostly productive week.
For the last day, Connor decided to come out of his man cave and actually explore the city since he hadn't taken the time to do so and he had a decent amount of money in his pockets to purchase things he may be interested in purchasing. Stuff like training equipment, clothes, and maybe a cheap education capsule.
The streets were filled entirely with people, every once in a while Connor could see after images of people turning corners on that near high way sized sidewalk, there were people floating, rolling, Connor thinks he might have even seen someone who teleported like himself! Other than that people on the actual road were using their high speed, no bump, floating, driverless cars! Hoverboards and boots! Also sorts of sci-fi and arcane devices of all shapes and sizes.
Connor found a few interesting places where ended up buying a couple of things, where he ended up using 1000 Daltons that he got from the little auction where none of the purchasers ended up benefitting too much. He purchased a VR headset for around 400D, a self-repairing punching bag on the cheap end from that particular store called Coliseum, and finally a few sets of clothes.
Upon exploring for a couple of hours and searching up on a map he found a café shop he was interested in visiting named Aromatic. There he found it to be an excessively luxurious place with few people despite its practically calling to customers aesthetic. Near a bar table where people could also sit apart from the window seat areas.
Ringing a bell a sweet looking lady with a brown, ponytail, fair, smooth skin came with a warm smile on her face,
"Hi what can I get for you, sir?"
'They seem courteous, despite my young age'
Connor thought,
"Hm... any recommendations?"
"Well, are you looking to go or to have here?"
"To have here?"
"Food or drink?"
"Both."
"In that case, we have the 'Chef's special combo surprise'. Would you like to try it out?"
"Well can you tell what's in it?"
"Well, that's the surprise, sir..."
"Haha just messing with you sure I'd like to order the combo surprise. Though how much would that be for?"
"It costs 105D."
'Dayum that's expensive. Well... you only live once."
"Alright, I'll order that."
The barista lady just nodded sweetly at his joke from before and left. In the meantime, Connor messed around with his palm phone and cried tears on the inside at all the money he spent.
What came after 10 mins was a tray with a pink and milk brown drink with cream on top, while there was also a nice-looking cheese cake on the side.
