Why Should I Join?

"I don't want to waste your time either. So, I'll cut to the chase. I had a candidate for the Swordsman Pillar, but unfortunately, he is not up to the task yet. He is much too young and inexperienced as a combatant. You, on the other hand, fit nicely."

"You are well-rounded in defense and offense. And there isn't any competition between the Pillars so that you can relax regarding seniority or rank. So, for most parts, after going on missions with me, I'll let you handle your tasks by yourself."

"Of course, if you need help, you can always find the rest of the Pillars or me provided they aren't busy. If you happen to be seasoned enough to know routes and go on missions alone, I will assign a Second Seat for you. But, you'll need to know that the stakes will be higher."

"Since you will be supervising another life with you. And if you do partner up with another Pillar, the earnings from that mission will be divided accordingly. For your hard work, we'll be allocating a house for you to occupy."

"Only one person can occupy the house, and it looks like the one we are in now. The house will be finished within a day by our members. Any requests are welcomed. With accommodation done, let's move on to the work schedule and meals"

"I'm not particularly eager to force my Pillars to a fixed roster for work schedule. Thus, I'll leave it up to you to decide. However, to stay on top of your game, you need to fulfill at least four minor missions. Or two major missions."

"Minor missions are small tasks, usually just scouting out new areas and easy interrogations. Major missions are like battles and conflicts. Things like going to a certain place to fight or kill a hostile."

"At times, if interrogations go wrong and it turns into a brawl, that mission will be deemed as a Major mission. If there's an Ark leader on-site, you can back out or work with that leader."

"There's another condition as well. If you happen to fight the leader of the Husks and get out of the place alive, I will grant you one month off. Because after fighting that person, I can guarantee you need it."

Huh?! That's how powerful he is?! So much so that I need to rest for an entire MONTH? Holy... I am never going to fight that thing. Even if I need that one month off, I'd instead go on Minor missions that I know I won't get killed. Talk about work hazards... This one is by far the scariest.

"Hold on, what happens if I get injured badly during a mission?"

"If the injury is too much for you to continue the mission, you can abandon the task first and head back to recover. Then, if I'm free, I can try healing you up. But I can only do things like broken bones or deep cuts. I can't bring lost limbs back or heal the human spine."

"I don't know why I can't do so for humans, but that is the most I can offer you when it comes to injuries. And depending on how severe the injury is, I will lower the number of missions you have to go for during the month. It's fair to do so, and I can't have you working at half-tank."

"Yes, that is fair enough for me. I'm sure that I won't be losing a limb anytime soon. I'm going to take it slow first. Until I'm comfortable enough with the routes and Domains, then I'll go onto high-risk missions," I replied while nodding.

"Are you alright with the work schedule being like that? Or you'll like to have a fixed one? I don't like creating fixed missions since everyone has their stuff to do."

"Nope, I'm fine having this type of roster. But this means I have to plan my rest days, right?"

"Yes. It's either you rest for half a month, and the other half is constantly spent on going on missions. Or, you can pace yourself to go for a mission per week, and the remaining days of the week are your rest days. I'll leave it to you to decide."

I'm used to planning my studies and night work, so it shouldn't be a problem. And with my physical endurance heightened, I can get more jobs done. But I would need to spend on food to do so. So let's see how it goes. First, of course, I have to make time for myself.

The small minor quests popping up on my vision are starting to get annoying. I want to settle most of it before going on Major missions. It is hindering me.
