Killing

We were in an alleyway, and one of the guys had those softball bats we used in school. I ducked when they tried to grab me, and then I charged towards the guy with the bat. Since I was short that time, my punches landed low. The first thing I thought of was to punch the guy's family jewels.

Once I did that, the guy was knocked out. I grabbed the bat and swung at the rest of his mates. They tried their best, but they couldn't hit me since I was swinging the thing around like a mad person. When they finally pounced again, I moved away from the spot.

The move caused them to crash into each other, momentarily stunning them. I then ran off, trying to find the ones I was with but found myself at a dead-end again. Finally, the two guys stopped before me, with one slowly walking towards me. He threw a punch, I dodged.

And I proceeded to swing my bat as hard as I could at the guy's head. I completely bashed the side of his head in. I swear I could've seen his left eye gets destroyed at that moment. His buddy didn't hesitate to try to avenge him, going after me blinded with rage.

I dodged his charge with ease and swung my bat again. This time, I crouched, and the bat shattered his kneecap. Since I placed the last of my strength into that previous hit and he was charging at me, the impact could be heard from a few blocks away. It was then that I realized I could kill.

"Congrats, kid. You've made your first kill. I didn't know you had it in you, but I guess your father was right about you. You'd grow up to be taking over the business. And I hope I would be by your side as well," commented my father's A star.

My first... Kill? So what now, I would be trained as a killer for the rest of my life? At that time, I didn't say anything and blindly followed because my father was in charge. He had all the power to kill me and would do so in a heartbeat.

"Though next time, don't be scared. Look, you've used too much strength to swing at those thugs. Your hands are shivering as if we've got a winter. You have to learn more about the weak points of a human body and strike there instead. You don't have to exert too much power," he added.

"Don't worry, and I'll teach you along the way. You might be a little bit young for me to teach, but I'll try my best. I'll even get you a weapon if you'd like, your one. Though, I hope you won't mind that. Or I could ask the boss to guide you instead."

I shook my head in protest. Ever since then, I have been trained by that A star to be fluent in the art of swordsmanship. And I continued to take lives within the cover of night. I wouldn't say I liked it at times, but I felt some people on the hit list needed it.

So I put in effort for the cases involving children, like kidnapping, child abuse, and child trafficking. At one point, some kid tried to pick on my younger brother in the playground by insulting his mental state, and I stepped in.

I didn't hurt the kid but scolded him loudly, making both sides cry. Later that night, the parents of the kid tried to find us. But they were trying to pick a fight with a family that dwelled in the mafia. Guess how'd that turned out.

I asked to have a civil conversation at the staircase, where no cameras were around. Finally, when it seemed that they weren't backing down, even accusing me of touching their kid, I had enough.

They even thought that my brother should have never been born because he was a nuisance within the community. My bottom line was my brother. No one insults my precious baby brother. He fought to be alive, and he doesn't have to hear those nasty comments.

Without another word, I grabbed onto the man's hair and rammed his face into the railings. Then, when he slumped down onto the stairs, I quickly stomped onto his neck, which was on a step. The horrifying sound of a neck-snapping was suddenly so satisfying for me.

The mother tried to run away, but I grabbed her ponytail and yanked it, making her fall onto her back. She was panicking badly, so she didn't get up. Meanwhile, I was calm and placed my foot onto her face. She was begging for me to forgive her and to let her go.
