Arcane: Sixth Order, Utopian Fortress

"The Flames Of Agni. The Waves Of Oceansoul. The Tempest Of the Queen Of Winds. The Chaos Of Tiamat. The Wrath Of the Brine King. The Emptiness Of Oblivion. The Hatred Of the Undead King. The Spring Of Gaia... All are summoned and present," I chanted, following Vania's commands.

"Ruler Of the Fourth Upper Layer. The One rules over those who have died from the Elements Of Water and sickness. This is where the story meets disease and takes one of our precious characters away or when a storm hits the area to halt our beautiful story..." chanted Duncan.

I felt a surge of power run through my soul, that is, if I had one in this realm, to begin with. However, I could feel my sword getting heavier by the second as my vision started to blur and concentrate as if I was adjusting the focus on a camera. So this is how power can affect the body...

I positioned my sword so that the blade was pointing downwards, but the weapon was getting heavier to move it properly. Finally, I got the sword into the correct position after forever. Now all that's left is to pray that my body will survive this attack.

I sneaked a quick peek at what Duncan was doing during his chant. The boy's appearance did not change, but I'm getting some indications that he harnessed both the Darkness and Water Element during this attack, which I found odd since it shouldn't be the case.

The Five Orphans Of the Barren Pillars were chosen based on the differences and similarities between each other. For example, when Mavislin chose the kids, she chose a child who could only use a single Element, discounting the Blood Mastery Skill.

Midori, Saber Of The Gaia. Nasima, Lancer Of The Tempest. Amani, Rider Of The Blizzard. Circe, Archer Of The Inferno. And finally... Duncan, Berserker Of The Abyss. The Five Children had the potential to rise in the ranks of the Arks.

But back to the fight in front of me, it would seem that the child of darkness was ready to show me the true strength of a First Seat Dementor Pillar.

"Third Frame: Tlāloc's Authority Over Storms!" shouted Duncan, as a massive ball of Darkness came tunneling towards with lines of grey dancing around the orb.

"Arcane: Sixth Order... Utopian Fortress!" I roared as I stabbed the sword into the ground.

This act created a large shockwave and ripple effect that reverberated throughout the area. First, I could feel something furry appearing on my back as my hair flowed wildly in the wind. Then, white walls started emerging out from the ground around me.

It was as if a castle appeared underneath me as the land I stood on started rising from the average floor level. I would've freaked out if I wasn't too engrossed with my spell since I never liked being several meters above the ground. Who would? Unless you're a bird.

You see, you think I should be used to being at higher altitudes, but you overestimate my fear of heights. I hate being high up and not moving around. So when I'm on higher grounds, I tend to move about so I won't get a chance to look down.

And that explains why I never went to the upper grounds during the fight with Bryan. As the castle continued forming, I saw that my hair's tips were turning blonde from the corner of my eyes. This result was most likely overuse of Elemental Energy at one go.

My vision was filled with so many things at one time that I felt giddy. Then, the orb from Duncan's attack came into contact with the white walls of my spell. I knew this would push my body into overdrive, but it was the only option. One more time with Avarice!

"Understood, loud and clear," replied Vania with confidence.

Much to Duncan's surprise, the giant ball of Darkness was swallowed into the walls. Time seemed to stop for a while as Vania calculated the attack and finished analyzing the Elements within Duncan's Spell.

"Notice. The skills of 'Storms' and 'Paradise' have been unlocked. Would you like to use it now?" asked Vania, as I was being pushed back by the spell.

No, use Avarice to deliver the same attack back to Duncan and be done with this battle! I'm starving! Vania complied with my request and unleashed Duncan's attack back on the boy, causing an explosion of white and purple.

And because I had used up so much of Elemental Energy at one time, I could barely lift my blade again and was forced to keep my sword. But I was more concerned for the boy since that attack had increased Elemental Energy on top of the spell's original power.
