Working The Computer To Overtime

I had high hopes for the initial plan of downgrading the power level of the storm to a manageable and survivable state. However, as I pondered on it, I thought of other ways, like using the Sixth Order to brave and deflect back the entire storm to where it came from.

It was a good plan, but it demanded my Elemental Energy supply. I would be going against the most unpredictable target on the list, and I need to conserve for the primary fight. I was worried about the storm touching the coast of the Teuton Domain, and it wasn't a regular thing.

I knew this storm wasn't natural with all the matter's circumstances. But I was worried that the storm being sent to us might be a guise or trap. That's when something clicked in my mind.

"Z, is it possible to check the Elemental Energy level of the forest at the north of the Briton Domain? And if there are any signs of life within that giant storm?" I questioned.

Z turned to look at me with his mouthful of cakes and ice cream. I felt that the poor guy had no idea I would suddenly rope him into the conversation. Though I saw Z's computer analyzing the storm's power levels, I never had a chance to see if it could get more data on the entire area.

I figured if Z was in charge of monitoring Elemental Energy levels across the Five Domains, he should have a way to see the storm's true power and the Elemental Energy levels of the targets. And, I was curious if the computer was powerful enough to find people based on their Auras.

"There is a way to check on these stats, but why the sudden shift? Will it be beneficial for facing the storm?" replied Z.

"Yes, I want to find out if the storm has a Mage within the center since I've thought back to the image I saw yesterday. It was too big to be conjured up by someone away from it. It has to be powered by a Mage inside it since it increased in Elemental Energy Levels."

"Controlling such a big disaster remotely would be suicidal because the storm gets out of range, and the Mage no longer has any control over it. Thus, the spell should have dispersed by the time it nears the West Coast. But the thing was still there and growing bigger."

"So someone or something is in that giant swirl," I elaborated, pouring out whatever I had in my brain.

Z was silent before he stood up and nodded firmly at me. Everyone left stood up and backed away from the table as the Old Chapel kept both our dishes and the table. A flight of stairs appeared from the balcony of the second floor.

"Come on then, let's head to my room for the last time and see if your predictions are correct. Anything else you'd like to run by my computer?" asked Z as we began to ascend the pretty staircase.

"Yes, I wondered if you could use your computer to discern individuals using their Elemental Auras," I asked, following behind the Galaxian Mage.

"Well, I haven't done it yet, but there should be such a setting. But it would be hard to find a specific person using their Elemental Aura since they would have to be using their powers at full force to show up on the radar."

"So the most I can do now is find Mages with the same Element type. You are truly working my computer to maximum power these past few days. Hopefully, the hardware isn't going to overheat," said Z, shaking his head.

"If the hardware powering several devices and a Cloud to store both active and archived data will overheat with some small research, I think you should get better hardware to fuel this behemoth of a system. Or you can do some liquid-cooling systems all around the computer's gadgets."

"With me being an Ice Mage around here, I usually don't have to do so. But things overheating from within because of overworking would be out of my reach since I wouldn't dare to put ice in those machines. But I should get some fans to cool the devices off."

"You force the computer in your room to command everything in the Cloud? That seems unwise. What happens if the computer in your room goes down? Do you have a backup terminal to continue powering the Cloud?" I questioned, raising my eyebrow.

Z remained silent as I knew he hadn't encountered that problem before. He wouldn't have to worry since the only ones who knew about technology in this realm would be the two of us. I then thought about the way the scanner functions with the computer.
