This Is An Insane Plan!

"Data being transferred by 'Redacted' is at 80%. The estimated finish time is two minutes. We have to think of something fast before the entire security of the Old Chapel gets breached," stated Z, breathing heavily.

Crap... My eyes darted everywhere while trying my best to figure out a solution. This hacker has gained access to nearly all the devices within the Briton Domain and was also starting to take down the West of Teuton Domain's scanners. It was like water gushing into almost all the tunnels...

Bingo! If I cut off all devices hooking up into the Cloud, the hacker won't get to finish the download! But... How did Z connect all these devices to the Cloud?

"Z, I need your help to destroy all communication and connections to every device throughout the Domains. Then, force the main computer to shut down the Archives long enough for me to find out where the hacker is and destroy his thing from here. Is that possible for you?" I asked.

"Let's hope that this works," answered Z, quickly shutting down all connections to the Domains.

I then turned towards the Headmaster and Time Mage.

"My apologies, Headmaster. But you will lose connection and communication to all Five Domains for the next half of a Chime. So brace yourselves for when we go online again," I said while shutting down all devices from my terminal.

Soon as I did so, the monitor that had the map of the Five Domains blacked out, and the hacker's download was frozen at 84%. Wait... It isn't frozen. But the speed was slowed down from a rate of MB to mere KBs now. But it doesn't mean we are done yet.

And the fact the download slowed down meant that the hacker wasn't using any of the devices to enter the Cloud. Or the guy had already established a connection without a machine. This problem has given me no choice but to pull out the big guns.

The hacker was too far into the Cloud now, and the only way was to permanently make the entire thing go to sleep.

"You've done the backup on this computer before, right? How often do you do so?" I questioned, suddenly having an idea to deal with that hacker.

"Yes, every fortnight since the data to store in the archives is quite heavy. I've even got backup of the backup," said Z, proudly.

I could've hear my father's voice when Z said that...

"Have you recently done the regular backup yet?"

"I did it yesterday when you were out cold. Why are you asking me this?" asked Z, perplexed that I was talking about backups.

"We will destroy the Cloud and create a new one," I answered with a big grin.

Z's eyes widened while I spat out those words. I did a silent cheer as I finally found the hacker's IP address and profile. A little boy named Marcus, no surname mentioned. Born to a human prostitute mother and an unknown Elemental Mage.

But I could safely assume that this kid is either an otherworlder like me or a Time Mage like Raiyen. Either way, I will make this kid crap out bricks enough to build a city—time for the hacker to be hacked.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to destroy the hardware, but I will overwrite all the devices hooked up to the Cloud to make way for a new one. Also, I'm sending you the hacker's IP address, so put up a few firewalls," I commanded, cracking my knuckles.

"Wait... Wait! Are you telling me you will delete the Cloud now?!" exclaimed Z.

"Yes, so keep the kid busy while I create a new one that is password protected. However, this would mean everyone else, but I would have access to the Cloud for the next few moments. Unless I try a facial recognition software within the new Cloud..." I said.

"Alright then. Hopefully, your plan isn't too crazy," answered Z, creating distractions for the hacker.

"Oh, it isn't crazy... It's past the scale of insanity now. On my mark, get the backup ready," I replied as I did the final arrangements with the help of Vania.

It was fortunate that I did programming before I died, though I was not fond of it too much. Usually, it will take days to set a Cloud up, but because of the hardware and the fact this realm has got Magecraft that enhances connection, creating a Cloud would be easy.

Okay, I've created the new Cloud, and it is ready to activate in a few minutes. Vania has finished debugging the codes for the system and is about to help overwrite the devices. The only thing for me to do now is destroying the current Cloud. I wish there were a big, red button to do so...
