Using A Twin As A Pet

"And since when are you so compassionate, Poisoned Pond? The Last Time I checked, you were the one who wanted to lure the Husks out using Poison Spell of sorts," questioned Mavislin, with her fringe covering her eyes.

"Ah, the rumor about Valkyries having a powerful memory is true... Indeed, you've seen through my little act of compassion. I was truly hoping you would fall for my reason so you'd join your brother to convert this world into the first Corrupted Planet," smiled the Poisoned Pond.

Mavislin's wings changed from gold and white to fiery red with an amber hue. It was as if her wings were now made out of flames as she cocked her head to the side.

"What are you trying to do, Matthew Pond?" asked the angered Valkyrie, clenching her fists so hard that they drew blood.

However, I don't think she sees that as a problem. I could feel the anger in her voice despite being in another Time. This memory must've happened less than a year ago, so appearances and behavior haven't changed too much.

"Dear sister... I have wanted to create a world where we can walk again. Where the likes of my kind can flourish again. We've been forced to hide in the shadows but want to walk around in the light again. We were all children and victims of their experiments..."

"Is that too much to ask?" pleaded Benjamin, with tears threatening to come out.

Mavislin took a staggering step back as she saw Old Man Pond controlling her precious twin. She drew deep breaths as she tried to regulate her emotions and prevent herself from losing control.

"Take a good look at your broken little brother. Look how sad and tortured he looks because his sister and friend refuse to let him play outside. Without me rescuing him from the ocean's depths, I think he would have died long ago. But I couldn't ignore a crying boy, could I?"

"The only reason your brother is moving about now is that I awoke his Valokian Magecraft within him along with most of the Corruption Element. That incident triggered the First Wave of Husks all those years ago. Z should have a good tale to tell about that."

"I don't think 'good' would be the correct word to describe that encounter with all the tossed dead bodies rising from the shore," said Z, though I couldn't see him.

Meh, the Mage must've been out of frame.

"But despite my best efforts, your brother will never be stable enough if he doesn't have his family's Authority pumping through him. If only your Mother had bestowed that Skill onto him, Benjamin wouldn't look so much like a corpse over here."

"One chance to fix your brother, and you know it better than anyone else. With that, I can make Benjamin yours again so long as you become the Corrupted alongside your brother. That way, the two of you can control and rule this planet like you would've done back in your old world."

"And what will do if I were to step up to that role?" asked Mavislin.

"What are you trying to do, Mav?!" yelled Raiyen as I saw a hand extending from the bottom of the opening.

"What will I do? Do you mean you expect me to demand payment from two of the strongest beings in the Universe? Oh... No, no... I don't want any payment. I like to be your bodyguard of sorts if you've got that job opened," said Old Man Pond, bowing down.

"Do you truly believe that I would work with my brother? What makes you so sure that he wouldn't resent me for what happened that night when Valokia fell?" questioned Mavislin, finally showing her eyes which were blazing red with anger.

The Old Commander of the Congregation stepped back in fear as the furious Valkyrie's Elemental Levels skyrocketed to ranks enough to blow a hole in the Earth's atmosphere. I'm not joking about that last statement. The air around her was a solid orange and gold now.

My HUD showed danger signs, warning me about the Elemental Levels of the fight despite being out of my control. Vania was doing her best to fix the bugs.

"I was the one who landed that Spell on him. I had to kill him because we were burning. The stars around us were burning because my twin brother had lost his way in Corruption. He killed our parents and still seeking revenge on them."

"Did you know Father willingly gave up his life to save an entire street from your Abyss Of the Horizon attack? Only to be killed by you with a blow to the head and Elemental Core? I saw that. I watched it happen while he mouthed the words of apologies before dying."
