The Stars Against Clarent

"The Sea that lives amongst the stars births the legend. The river poured from the legendary Water-bearer, Aquarius. Running from the stars of Cursa to Achernar, I call for your help. Drawings of the skies, lend me your power..." chanted Bryan, as his Elemental Energy turned from gold to blue.

"Behold, the sword that fought in the battle of Camlann. The weapon which brought the King Arthur of legends to his knees. The brutal betrayal of a father to his kid... Boil over and feel the wrath of my being! Here comes the trouble!" chanted Mordred.

"Symbol of the path that Phaeton created, the final resting place of the son of Helios... Eridanus, Stars Of The River!" finished Bryan, as streams of water Elemental Energy danced around the area like floating rivers.

As the river consumed the Black Knight, she unleashed a torrent of black and red Elemental Energy toward the standing Slayer. But Bryan didn't seem fazed as he dropped his scythes and held up his left hand, with the back facing the oncoming attack.

"As the First Seat Slayer of the Barren Pillars, I activate these, O' Emblem Of the Arks! Unleash the protection I need under the Authority of Valokian Might!" called out Bryan as the emblem of the Pillars glowed in bright gold.

The emblem popped out of the Slayer's hand, expanding into a sizeable holographic shield to defend against the Black Knight's spell. After the shining lights, Bryan successfully negated the attack and remained tall with the emblem still shining bright.

As for the Black Knight, the outcome was slightly different. For only a short while, Mordred saw the truth as the water streams overpowered her. But, in Bryan's eyes, it was instantaneous as he saw the result of Mordred standing there with a sad smile.

"You know... I hate Mages that can manipulate Time and Memories... And I never thought you would've those Elements up your sleeves. But the fight was fun while it lasted... So I'm ready to fight you for real this time. And you were right; I shouldn't be angry at others for my own demise."

"I never thought coming back to life in this form would have clouded my feelings and judgment," explained Mordred, walking towards Bryan.

Wait... So she was only playing around with me this whole time?! Oi! Don't take me for a fool, thought Bryan as he backed away. Hang on... Since when did the Slayer have extra Elements?

"I... Can't... Don't have the Elements of Time or Memories... What did you see during our attacks?" asked the Slayer, severely confused.

Unknown to the Mages, Bryan's Element was affiliated with the stars and created a link to the past. Because the stars that witnessed the world were thousands of years old and could remember past events. Upon activating a water constellation, the flashback appeared.

The moment the Black Knight touched the particular water, she was transported to a scene that looked foreign to her. Mordred gazed around in panic as she couldn't find her sword or armor. But she stopped as the Black Knight found herself in a beautiful, lush green field.

Trees could be seen in the distance as Mordred looked around for signs of life. Her ear perked up when she heard giggles of little children and turned abruptly to see groups of children having fun, running about and chasing each other. But as Mordred watched, she noticed the kids weren't human.

They had Magecraft, and some even had animal ears and tails, but all of them played with one another as if they were the same. A happy family... Mordred felt slightly emotional but quickly shook her head as she approached the kids for help.

But something flew above the Black Knight, causing her to stop and look up into the azure skies. A massive figure with wings shot above her head and appeared in the middle of where the kids were playing. Mordred tried to yell out for the children, but they couldn't hear her.

However, as she neared the children and the mysterious intruder, Mordred found a grown-up Mavislin with her beautiful set of Valokian white wings. The children happily embraced her as they touched the fluffy feathers like the Valkyrie was some animal.

"How's everyone doing today? Did all of you find any interesting things today?" asked Mavislin, gently keeping her wings and holding up a small girl with blue and red eyes.

"Yes! Yes! We played all day, and I found I can do this!" squealed the little girl in Mavislin's arms.

The small girl placed her tiny hand in front of her mouth and blew, creating a small stream of ice and fire. Mavislin widened her eyes and nodded, impressed that a small child could do such conflicting Magecraft.
