Reaching Teuton's Coast... Again

"Even in a world that is your own head, you are still cautious... Calm down; I'm not here to attack you. I was curious about what you were doing just now..." asked Mordred, releasing my wrist.

I sat up and sighed loudly, prompting Mordred to sit down. As I was aware of my surroundings, the area was a green meadow, and we were under a big oak tree.

"I was trying to find my purpose of living in this realm. Why was I created, and why does my Original Spell exist? Is there some big quest that I was supposed to go on? But all I've found was nothing but myths and legends..." I complained.

"Perhaps you should give it rest first? That would clear your mind, and you might find what you need from another angle," suggested the Knight of Rebellion.

"I guess you are right... Is there anything else you'd want to know?" I questioned.

"Yes, I wanted to know if you would soon summon me. I'm getting quite lonely within your head," replied Mordred.

"I'll summon you when I encounter the next monster, alright? But, for now, get some rest."

As I opened my eyes again, I was looking at the orange sky of the next day. I stretched and sat up, finding that Vincent had awoken earlier than me and was staring at the rising sun. I was surprised that the World Serpent was still going strong.

"I never thought that I would be bringing a Mage back to HQ... I wonder what VK is going to say about this," commented Vincent as I walked towards him.

"Well, if he's going to act aggressively to my presence, then I shall answer the same. If not, I'm sure we can work something out. Ah, it looks like we've reached."

When we arrived at Teuton's Coastline, the Jor instantly started flailing about with the terrible memories that plagued him. Unfortunately, Vincent and I were thrown out of our seats and towards the rocky shores.

Vincent, while screaming, had no problem as his Fallen Angel Wings instantly appeared to save his life, but I wasn't so lucky. I didn't yell, but I did pray to Vania that she would enhance my body's defense high enough so I won't take collateral damage.

But to my shock, I caught a glimpse of Vincent's wings as I was quickly swooped away from the jagged rocks. When we both landed on the beach, the Jor instantly calmed down and lowered its head in shame towards me.

Vincent glared at the poor creature, but I pinched the man to let me down. Then, I dashed towards the World Serpent to see if he was alright.

"There... There... I'm not controlling you, nor are you being treated like a puppet. You have done your job well, but we must polish your landing, okay? So for now, you may return home," I announced as the Serpent nodded and vanished into light blue dust.

Who knew the World Serpent could have PTSD? I turned toward Vincent and gave him a thumbs up.

"I really thought he went rogue... I was so sure I would have to fight another beast again..." murmured Vincent, watching the blue dust disperse into the ocean breeze.

"He wasn't going rogue... He got triggered by a few bad flashbacks, thinking I was making him create chaos again. No biggie, how shall we find your HQ?" I asked, stretching my arms.

"Let's head over to the Insvield village, right after this Woodlands," instructed Vincent, walking towards the forest.

"Insvield? Wait, villages in this world have names?" I asked, shocked at that fact.

"Yes, just like how cities and States have names. Insvield is known for its steaks, lamb chops, and beautiful ice and snow scenery, plus the Northern Lights. Another thing it's known for would be the Mafia. We are the strongest over here, and we mostly govern the laws."

"In that village, the Mafia is in charge, so try not to show your powers there. We've got a civil war within the nation, so best not to draw attention to yourself. Blend in, and you will be fine," warned Vincent as we made our way to a village called Insvield.

"The Mafia's got a tight grip on Teuton, hasn't it? Do they hate the Mages, or is there some reason behind the animosity?" I asked, curious about the politics in Teuton.

"You could say there's a reason, but it's not because the Mafi hated the Mages. Though we have a strained relationship with them, the Mafia doesn't hunt down or try to kill Mages. We are just two groups functioning at different wavelengths."

"Our tasks to take down specific targets may or may not be Mages, and it's purely for our group's survival."
