"But grandmother, my new mate is a hunter, and to make matters worse, she is the one who attacked Katherine, and in the process, she killed my two twins. How could the moon goddess make my number one enemy be mate? I think there must be some misunderstanding," complained Darrell.
"That is the main reason you are here. Cyrene is the name of your new mate, by the way, and she is a chosen one, and if you kill her, you will die, and so is the vice versa you have been linked together. Their doom is awaiting you, and you have to unite with her in order to conquer. Otherwise, that will be the end of the werewolves and hunters. The moon goddess and the guardians, who are the ones that created the blood hunters have talked have made a deal that will save both races. Now you have to look for her and find a way to do her work with you in preparing for this doom day." Audrey explained further
"Why can't the guardians talk to her like you did to me? I don't want to go pleading with her, and that's the last thing each of us wants to do right now. Maybe you should get tell the guardians to find a way to contact her." Darrell requests his grandmother.
Audrey disappeared, and in her place stood a woman with waist-length black hair electrical blue eyes and she was wearing a sheer black gown, and she had a warrior uniform inside the sheer gown.
She was emitting waves of power and authority that he had never felt any other creature emit. Darrell found himself on his knees, bowing for her.
Then in a voice that was so soft like velvet, she ordered him to be on his feet. Darrell stood up, but he could not bring himself to look at her.
What are you requesting me to do for you, Darrell?" the woman asked. That is when Darrell discovered the woman was a guardian.
"Ma'am, I was requesting you to find a way to contact Cyrene because she will listen to you, and as a matter of fact, I don't know where I cannot find her right now she was taken by some witch, and I don't know where they took her," Darrell asked coldly he could not believe his grandmother had summoned a guardian for him to negotiate with instead of the moon goddess who would what totally understood the position that he was in.
"Wolf, don't be rude to me. I can easily end you with just a mere thought…." The lady replied, but immediately those words were out of her mouth, there was shaking of the ground, and another woman appeared. There was lightning surrounding her body had a layer of blazing light and she on her feet was the moon.
Darrell immediately knew that that was the moon goddess.
"How dare you threaten my chosen one?" The goddess asked in a voice like that of thunder. Every time she talked, the ground they stood on would shake.
"First, your boy is the one that attacked mine, not vice versa, and now he is telling me to find a way to get our chosen one to agree on doing this deal. That's very rude." The guardian said.
"But that was after this Cyrene had attacked his mate and killed his twin! So get your girl to understand the situation. After all, I summoned my chosen one. Why not do so!" The goddess angrily said.
"Are you trying to mock me? You know we don't have the abilities to do that?" The guardian wondered.
After arguing, they came to the conclusion that the guardian would look for a way to pass the message.
Darrell then woke up beside his wife's bed, still holding. He was quite shaken after seeing the most powerful beings in his life-fighting.
He looked at his wife. His gaze was disrupted by the beeping of the monitor machine. It was beeping continuously. He started shouting for the nurses to come to see what was wrong, and at the same time, he mind-linked the doctor. They all came in running as they burst in the door.
Marcus, the doctor, asked Darrell to excuse him so that he could do his job. Darrell was reluctant, but after a little convincing, he left the ward excusing the doctor and the nurses to do their job.
"Doctor, her temperature is drastically higher than normal she is literally burning up. And so is her heartbeat." One of the nurses informed the doctor.
"Do I have to tell you to place some ice on her head?" Marcus asked the nervous nurse who ran out to get some ice. But before the nurse would come back, everything when back to normal.
