A Threat To Remember

A few years ago...

Jasper had been called by Kelly and his beloved saying that they needed to be given a ride back home from the mall down the town. Seeing that his brother was busy with vampire business, he had agreed to get them.

When he got to the mall, he found them waiting with a lot of bags.

The two ladies were not aware of the two hunters that were watching them secretly. Most of the bags had makeup and clothes.

Jasper did not always did not understand what was with women with buying a lot of clothes and makeup even when they had enough already.

When he asked his wife, he would always get, 'you are not a woman you will never understand' he would agree with her though he did not see what was to be understood there.

When they saw him pull on the mall parking lot with his Audi.

Audrey, his beloved, did not also understand why he had such as sick love for cars. He changed cars like one would change clothes.

The two ladies carried their shopping bags and headed for the car before they could reach the car.

Kelly stopped all of a sudden and smelt the air, and then her eyes turned black with veins she cold a strong smell of blood.

Being a reaper, she could not be able to control her thirst for blood. Jasper and Audrey were trying hard not to inhale the smell of the blood, but you could not see their eyes changing color back and forth.

Though she always fed on human blood, it was always from the blood bags from hospitals.

Seeing this, Jasper and Audrey tried to get hold of her before she could cause a scene, but the hunters who wanted to confirm whether the two ladies were vampires had already confirmed what they wanted, and as soon as they confirmed, they started shooting at the vampires all the humans were on the ground as they tried to hide from what they thought were armed robbers.

The three vampires were trying to get away, but the thirsty Kelly was not making it easy.

That's when he noticed one of the hunters had a clear shot at Audrey, who was not aware and was busy trying to push Kelly to the car.

Jasper took out his gun and shot the hunter. Before he could shoot Audrey doing this, he forgot the other hunter who came running toward him with his stake in his hand, ready to stab him, but the scream from his beloved made him turn as he was struggling with the hunter, his gun fell down.

He kicked the hunter on his rib, and the hunter's fell on the ground as they both reached for the stake. Kelly had snapped out of her state.

Jasper got hold of the stake, and he turned around to stab the hunter. At that time, Kelly took hold of the hunter and turned him such that Jasper stabbed her on the back instead of the hunter he intended to stab.

Audrey had taken the opportunity to take the gun that was a few yards away from them, and she shot the hunter before he could get a chance to run away.

Then she dragged her husband away from the area as they did not want to be confronted by the human government as that would risk them being exposed.

Jasper was kneeling down with Kelly's ashes in his hands.

He did not know how to tell Hugo that he had stabbed his beloved with a stake by mistake.

He was dreading the moment he would reach home, and his brother asked him about Kelly.

When they reached home, they went to their room as they waited for the worst moment.

Audrey tried to tell him to tell his brother that Kelly had been killed by one of the hunters, but he did not know how to lie.

When his brother came, he told him what had happened though Hugo was red with rage, he still forgave him.

Though he wondered how easily Hugo had let him off the hook, he did not want to push his luck.

Not knowing that Hugo had not let him off the hook, but instead, he had kept a grudge.
