On reaching the 6th floor Bing Xue got out of the lift. She made her way towards the office according to the directions given by the receptionist.

However, when she reached the office, she was surprised. There was another reception area. The receptionist there was on a call when Bing Xue arrived. She told Bing Xue to sit while she informed the boss. Xue was surprised because apart from her there was no one else present. Either she was early or she was the last one.

She looked at the nameplate in front of the office. It stated – 'Dr. Yang Mei'.

She found the name very familiar, however she was not able to pinpoint it to a person. As she was pondering about it, the receptionist called her and said, "Ma'am, you can go in."

When she heard the call, Bing Xue woke up from her thoughts and made her way towards the office. She knocked a couple of times when she heard a mellifluous voice from inside saying,

"Come in, please."

As she entered the office, she was impressed by the interiors and décor. It was a huge office. It had warm wooden décor and interiors. It had a very welcoming ambiance which was very uncommon for an office especially in a hospital. On one side of the room was a bright orange colored sofa set. On the other side was a large desk made of sandalwood. A beautiful fragrance of sandalwood filled the office. It was the coziest office she had ever been in. Behind the desk sat a woman. The woman felt very familiar to Xue.

She looked like she was around 30-31 years old. However, she was definitely the most beautiful woman Xue had ever seen. She had an enchanting angelic aura to her.

She had dark brown hair, beautiful light brown eyes, and an hourglass figure. Bing Xue could tell she was a C cup. She had very fair and glossy skin. She was wearing no makeup and her hair was tied in a ponytail. She wore a black business suit.

She was smiling as she looked at Bing Xue.

Yang Mei said, "Little Xue, have you forgotten me??"

When she heard the words 'Little Xue', she suddenly remembered and yelped, "Aahh!! Sister Mei…. Is it you!!??"

"How long has it been since we last met??!!"

Mei thought for a moment and said, "Give or take 5 years."

Xue's old college memories started flashing in her mind.

Xue had made a few friends in SMC. In her third year, she had befriended two seniors. However, it happened by chance. These two girls were Yang Mei and Zhou Shishi. They had both done their graduation from GVSU and had come to SMC for PG. They were new on campus and needed directions and Xue helped them out. They thanked her and exchanged their numbers. Later these two seniors had called her for a meal. Initially, she tried to decline but they didn't take no for an answer.

When they gathered for a meal, after the initial bit of awkwardness they hit it off nicely. It was surprising for Bing Xue as well. It was the first time that she was this comfortable with strangers. When Xue watched them closely, she found they were both very beautiful, especially the one called Yang Mei. She was the most beautiful girl she had seen to date. Apart from her being beautiful, she had a very calming and peaceful aura. She looked like an angel. For some strange reason, Xue felt drawn towards her. She looked up to her like an elder sister. For the next 2 years, they would often get together and their friendship deepened.

However, because she was very busy studying, her socializing was limited. After those 2 years, Zhou Shishi went to Westphalia for her super specialization. Yang Mei was also very busy with her super specialization and her hospital plans. Gradually they lost contact as they became busy with their lives.

On the other hand, Yang Mei was also refreshing her college memories.

The girl in front of her had become even more gorgeous. She had always treated Xue as a younger sister.

Bing Xue was around 172 cm tall. She still had a cold and distant aura to her and her hazel eyes were mesmerizing. She had thick and lustrous brownish-black hair, high cheekbones, luscious lips, and an olive skin tone. She looked enchanting and ethereal.

Her figure had also matured perfectly. According to Mei, she was a C cup and had an hourglass figure. She also had long shapely beautiful legs.

As the two ladies were thinking about the past, there was a knock on the door which brought them back from their memories. A person entered carrying a document and gave it to Mei. After the person left, they carried on with their conversation.

Mei asked, "So!! how have been the past few years?"

Xue replied, "It's been good. I completed my degree last year. For the past year, I have been working for YGH."

"As you already know my contract ends next month and then I will be without a job. So obviously, I am looking for a new one. Sister Mei!!.... how have you been for the past few years??"

Mei looked at her with a smile and said, "Very busy. Only recently has my workload eased a bit."

Xue suddenly thought of something and said, "Sister Mei if you don't mind, I have a few questions I want to ask."

Mei smiled and said, "Hmmm.... Go ahead, feel free and ask anything you want to know."

Xue paused a moment before she said, "How did you know that I was looking for a job?? I did not send out my resume anywhere."

Mei said gleefully, "Ohhh!! that…. actually, somebody recommended you to me. When I saw your information, I remembered who you were. So, I immediately set up this interview."

Xue was puzzled. She looked at Mei and said, "Somebody recommended me. Sister Mei who was it???"

Mei had a mischievous expression on her face. She said, "Nope! Sorry, I can't divulge that."

"But don't worry you will meet him soon. It will all be revealed in good time."

Xue was even more puzzled by Sister Mei's behavior. However, she dropped the issue and moved on to her next question.

She asked, "Sister Mei how long have you been working in this hospital?"

Mei replied sheepishly, "Since the beginning."

Xue said, "Ohhh! So, you were amongst the 1st employees here. Then, you must know a lot about the hospital."

Xue became excited and asked, "Then sister Mei do you know the real owners of the hospital. It is said that the hospital has temporarily appointed an acting CEO. However, the real owners are unknown and remain behind the scenes."

"Is it true Sister Mei?"

Mei coughed a bit and said, "Hmm…. something like that. Actually, the real owners are going to be revealed tomorrow and a permanent CEO will be appointed."

"This is why I called you today to complete all job formalities."

Xue was quite satisfied by this piece of news. Looking at Mei she said in a childish tone, "Sister Mei just one last question…please!!!"

Xue would behave in such a manner only in front of a few people. However, she was yet again surprised by how comfortable she was around Mei.

Mei smiled and said, "Go ahead. Then we will discuss the contract."

Xue said, "I noticed that outside there was no one else apart from me who had come for the interview. Am I the only one who was called? Or are the candidates coming at a different time? Or is it something else?"

Mei replied, "No, you are the only one. Frankly, this is not an interview rather a meeting to discuss your contract. I had already decided to hire you when I read your information."

"One surgeon has already been hired. He did his specialization from Uruk. We needed one more talented surgeon. When I read your information, I was very satisfied. After you are hired, the staff currently working is sufficient for the current department. As we expand further, we will hire accordingly."

"Now if you don't have any doubts, let's discuss the contract." Saying this Mei took out a document.

Bing Xue nodded and said, "Yupp!! No more questions. Let's discuss the contract.

Half an hour later their discussion ended and Bing Xue signed the contract. The atmosphere in the office was very cordial and they were chatting happily about the past.

An hour later Mei had another appointment and they both went their separate ways. Mei had reminded Xue to watch the morning news the next day. She also invited her to dinner the next day which she accepted. Mei was in a jovial mood as she returned to her apartment.

She sent a message to Song Jue, 'I got a new job.'

5 minutes later a reply came, 'Where?'

Xue sent the message, 'MeiLi Hospitals'

Yue replied, 'Congrats!! Call me later. Currently on a job.'

It was 4 p.m. and Xue decided to take a nap. She woke up a couple of hours later. She called YGH to check up on her patients.

She then lazed around till dinner time. After dinner, she again went to sleep.

In Yang Mei's Office-

Mei was sitting in her office reading a document when she received a call. It was her younger brother Yang Li.

She picked up and said teasingly, "Hello! Little brother, you seem to be calling sister a lot these days."

Yang Li ignored the teasing and said, "So did you hire her?"

Mei replied, "When did you become so heartless!? You didn't ask about your sister but only about your lover…. tehehehe…"

Yang Li said, "It's nothing like that.... yet. I only saw her once and she seems interesting."

Mei said in a cheerful voice, "Finally there is a girl who has caught your attention. Don't worry leave everything to sister."

Yang Li, "Sister!! Please don't do anything."

Mei replied, "Don't worry I know what to do. By the way, I knew her when I was in SMC. We had actually become good friends but we lost touch."

Yang Li was surprised and said, "Sister you never said anything about her before….. So do tell what happened."

The conversation between the siblings continued for another half an hour before they hung up.
