After leaving the hospital Yang Li decided to go to his workshop and meet up with Zhou Jin. His workshop was 100 miles from Cinea.

He reached the workshop at 3 p.m. Jin was waiting for him outside. They didn't go inside the workshop but directly went to the dungeons.

Jin said to him, "He has not been given anything to eat or drink since he was brought here. He is in the first cell. Do you need your tools?"

Yang Li, "Naah!! Not required. I'll quickly end it. Just give me a knife."

Jin handed him a knife and a file containing all the information; subsequently, Yang Li entered the cell. The man was tied to a chair and had a blindfold on.

Yang Li sat on a chair placed in front of the man.

The man's blindfold was removed. When he opened his eyes, he was in a daze. After a few moments, after he had adjusted his vision, he scanned his surroundings. Then he looked at Yang Li and said, "Do you even know who you have captured?"

As soon as he said this, Yang Li moved. In an instant, he was behind the man. He caught his right arm and twisted it behind him. He took his knife and removed 3 fingers from his right hand.

"AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH...…."

The scream reverberated in the entire dungeon. All of this happened within a span of a few seconds. Yang Li then moved closer towards his ear and whispered, "Did I allow you to speak??"

After that Yang Li returned to his seat while the man was still whimpering in pain.

The man was very afraid now. He looked at Yang Li and said in a trembling voice, "W-W-Why are you doing this?? I don't even know you."

Yang Li looked at him for a moment, before he said, "Of course, you don't know me. However, you did something wrong yesterday."

As soon as he heard this, the man came to a realization. He remembered the girl he had met at the hospital. As soon as he saw her, he was filled with desire and he immediately decided to capture her and make her his mistress. So, he used his family's connections to contact a foreign mercenary group in Cinea. The mercenary group did their due diligence. They found that the girl did not have a powerful background or support. So, a deal was made between the two parties.

Everything was fine until their call last night. However, they did not arrive at the meeting place at the designated time. He had lost all contact with them. Then in the morning when he stepped out of his house he was grabbed on his way to his girlfriend's house. When he woke up, he was in this cell.

After he realized this, he looked at Li and said, "So, you are doing this because of that slut!!!"

Yang Li's face remained indifferent. He then said, "I was thinking of ending it early today. But now it seems that it will take some time."

He called Zhou Jin and gave him some instructions. Zhou Jin came in with some tools. He left them beside Li and went away.

He first took out a power drill and two nails. He then walked towards the man and punched him. The man was in a daze.

He then placed the man in a sitting position on the chair. He then drilled one nail into each of his thighs. The man was screaming with all his strength. He was now nailed to the chair.

Li then pressed certain acupoints to reduce the blood loss. After screaming for about ten minutes, he fainted.

After another 10 minutes, Yang Li woke up the man. When the man regained consciousness, he was in excruciating pain.

Yang Li was sitting on his own chair. The man looked at him and finally said, "We can negotiate. Do you even know who I am? If my family finds out not only you but everyone related to you will be exterminated."

Yang Li said, "I'm impressed. Even now you are trying to threaten me."

"This is a difference between a person from an elite family and the rest of us."

When the man heard this, he narrowed his eyes. Then Yang Li picked up a file from the ground and opened it.

He said, "Your name is Pierce Blane, an investment banker. Your family owns the world-famous Blane Investments. It is the largest investment bank in Westphalia. Your current girlfriend is Yang Ling from the Yang family."

Then he looked at Pierce and said, "Anything else you want to add."

Pierce was shocked that the man was indifferent even after learning about his background. He gulped in fear.

He decided to play his last card. He said, "Do you know I'll soon be engaged to Yang Ling. If you do anything to the future son-in-law of the Yang family you will offend the entire Yang family. There will be no place for you in Colchis."

Yang Li scoffed at him and asked, "Did someone from the Yang family help you in this plan?"

Pierce said, "Of course not. They don't know anything."

Yang Li said, "Good. If someone had helped, there would have been another chair beside you."

This time Pierce was terrified. He believed that Yang Li was a madman. He didn't even care about the Yang family.

Then he heard Yang Li say, "Now let's remove the root of all this conflict." The Yang Li moved towards him with a knife and made a swift slash.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH…."

A scream echoed again through the dungeon. This continued for half an hour before Yang Li came out.

When Zhou Jin entered the cell, even he felt a chill down his spine. Body parts were scattered on the floor. Only the man's torso and head were left intact. He got a team to clear the cell.

Yang Li had already gone to his workshop. Ten minutes later Zhou Jin arrived at Li's workspace.

Jin asked him, "What do we do with the body?"

Yang Li said in a cold tone, "Send his eyes back to his family. Burn the rest."

Zhou Jin nodded and left.

When Jin left Yang Li was deep in his thoughts. He started reminiscing about his childhood memories.

FLASHBACK-

Yang Li's father Yang Yan was the second son of Yang WuYa. His mother was Yu Rumeng. She belonged to the tier 1 Yu family. It was an academic family and was neither rich nor influential. All of them were involved with academics. Most of them were either researchers or scholars.

Yu Rumeng was very beautiful and had a calming presence. She was a kind and benevolent soul. She was very independent before marriage. She was a genius and both the children inherited their IQ from her.

She became a famous researcher with expertise in human DNA and the genome.

The marriage between Yang Yan and Yu Rumeng was not approved by the Yang family. It was the one and only time Yang Li's father had defied his grandparents. He had never done so since then.

Since the marriage was not approved by the elders, Yu Rumeng was chastised and ostracized within the Yang family. As Yang Yan was always busy on his secret missions, the children were left with their mother. So, the mother and her children were suppressed and isolated.

When Yang Li was only 5 years old, he was separated from his mother and sister. This was done by his own father. However, the order came from the patriarch of the Yang family. He started learning martial arts and the art of assassination at the age of 5.

It started with survival training in different terrains- deserts, mountains, valleys, snow-capped peaks, villages, and urban cities. From the age of 5 to 9 he had to survive in these harsh terrains all over the world with just basic provisions. His father Yang Yan oversaw the survival training. His mother was against it but it was the family decision and she was forced to accept it. Although the multiple near-death experiences honed his survival instincts and made him strong, he lost his innocence and became apathetic.

At the age of 9, he started formal martial arts training under his first teacher who was a monk named Ren Wokuang. Ren Wokuang was a monk famous in the martial arts world. He held the title of 'strongest martial artist' until he voluntarily retired.

He trained Li in all forms of martial arts and told him to find his own techniques that suited him the best. He also taught him about the human body and acupoints.

Li had a terrifying perception since birth and it was further honed in those 5 years of survival training. Yang Li was a genius since birth and learning those martial arts was easy for him. By the age of fifteen, he created his unique style of fighting and surpassed his master.

When Li turned 10, he started learning assassination techniques. He held a sniper gun for the first time at the age of 11. He had a natural talent for sniping due to his demonic perception.

It was at the age of 12 when he lost his innocence completely. After training for only a year he was put in a life and death situation where he had to take a shot- it was his 1st kill.

Something changed inside him and he felt trapped. He was following a plan which was prepared for him by his family.

He did not want to become a puppet of his family. His role was to be the next person in charge of Special Forces and be a support for his cousin Yang Tian. Yang Tian would be the face of the family, the heir apparent, while his job was to be a shadow for his cousin and provide support.

This was a similar arrangement to the one between his father and Uncle which was controlled by his grandfather. In this manner, the Yang family would continue to have complete control over the military.

The Yang's also wanted to marry his sister, Yang Mei to a promising official. This would consolidate the Yang family's footing in politics.

Lastly, Yang Ruowei and Yang Ling would be in charge of the hospital business which would further be expanded into the pharma industry.

In this manner, the Yang family would not only consolidate its existing position but also expand its current power.
