Three weeks later-

After their first date, Bing Xue wanted to go on a second date the following weekend. Unfortunately, three days after their first date, Yang Li had to go to Westphalia on a business trip.

There were some legal issues that had to be sorted out in the branch office of YLM Enterprise in Saar, Westphalia.

Yang Mei also told Yang Li to sort out some legal issues related to MLH in Westphalia. Therefore, it was going to be a long trip. Han Kai accompanied him on this trip to Westphalia.

When Xue found out about the trip, she whined and grumbled at him. Before leaving Yang Li had come to MLH to pacify her. They had a lunch date in the hospital canteen. He promised that he would make it up to her after his return.

Xue knew that if he had to go personally, it was an important matter. She bade him goodbye and wished him luck.

It had been 3 weeks now. Yang Li would be back in a couple of days. In those 3 weeks, Li and Xue had been in constant touch. They would video call each other every night. They would chat whenever they were free. Although they had been separated after their 1st date, they had become closer in those 3 weeks.

Currently, there was a festive atmosphere in the capital. This was especially true for two of the five great families. A week later, Yang Tian from the Yang family would be engaged to Tang Yue from the Tang family.

It was hot news in the capital. It was the most popular topic of discussion especially amongst the younger generation of the elite families. The tabloids and magazines would print photos and articles about the couple on a daily basis.

At MLH-

At that moment, there were three women sitting in the CEO's office. They were Yang Mei, Zhou Shishi, and Bing Xue.

Xue had reconnected with Shishi three weeks back. It happened the day after Yang Li left for Westphalia. Since then, the ladies had often gathered in Mei's office to catch up.

Today Mei had invited them for lunch. They were engrossed in their conversation when they heard a knock on the door.

Mei's secretary came in and gave her an invitation card. It was an invite to the engagement party of Yang Tian and Tang Yue. Mei threw it on the table.

Shishi picked up the invite and smirked, "I didn't think they would invite you."

Mei said, "They didn't invite me. They invited the CEO of MLH. It's just an act of courtesy from their side so that there are no unnecessary rumors in the public. They would expect that I do not attend."

Apart from the Yang family and the upper echelons of some of the elite families, the people who knew about the sibling's connection to the Yang's were Zhou Jin, Han Kai, Zhou Shishi, Qin Wentian, and Bing Xue.

Shishi said, "So, will you attend?"

Mei replied, "It depends." Shishi asked, "On what?"

Mei said, "On my little brother."

Shishi smiled and said, "Then you probably won't go. Your brother doesn't like going to such places."

When Shishi said that Xue's ears perked up. She looked at Shishi suspiciously.

She asked Shishi, "How do you know??"

Shishi winked at Mei.

She then looked at Xue and said with a mischievous smile, "Of course, I know. I have known him since college. I know many things about him."

She continued and said, "Do you want to know??"

Xue felt uncomfortable when she heard this. She was feeling jealous. This was the first time she was having such feelings.

Her tone became a little irritating and she said, "What else do you know sister SHISHI??"

Shishi smirked and said, "Oh! many things. Maybe you are also not aware of them."

Xue felt a little angry. She glared at Shishi and said, "I know everything about my BOYFRIEND! SISTER SHISHI."

Suddenly, Mei burst into laughter- "Pfffttt...Hahahahaha…Quit the act Shishi or Xue will soon pounce on you and beat you up." Mei said to Shishi.

Shishi also started snickering and Xue realized that they were teasing her.

She pouted and said sweetly, "That's not fair, sister Shishi."

Shishi said, "Ohh! Look how quickly your tone has changed. Just now when I talked about Yang Li, you were ready to beat me up."

Xue said, "I don't know what happened to me. Recently, I have become very possessive when it comes to him. I never knew I could act in such a manner."

Mei chimed in and said, "It's young love dear or maybe you are a PSYCHO. Thinking about it, only a psycho like you might be able to handle my baby bro."

"As far as Shishi is concerned, she was actually a little afraid of Yang Li when we were in college. And most importantly she is in love with Han Kai."

"SISTER MEI!!!!!!" shouted Shishi

But Mei cut in and said, "OHH! Don't overreact. Both of you have liked each other since college but for some strange reason never got together. You have been playing this cat and mouse game for the past ten years."

Seeing that Shishi had become silent, Mei changed the topic.

She said, "Anyways, what I was saying is that the decision to go or not will depend on Yang Li."

"YLM will also get the invite. I'll discuss it with him when he comes back."

"However, if we end up going then Shishi you have to be my plus one."

Shishi nodded. Soon the three women finished their lunch and went back to their departments.

Two days later- at the Airport

Yang Li landed in Cinea at 1 p.m. He walked to the parking lot to find his jeep.

However, when he reached his jeep, he was surprised. He found Bing Xue sitting on the driver's seat and she was sound asleep.

He went to the driver's side and quietly opened the door. She was in a deep sleep. He picked her up and carried her to the passenger seat. After placing her on the adjacent seat, he took the driver's seat and drove off.

They reached his penthouse in 30 minutes. When he parked the car, Xue moved and opened her eyes. She was surprised and as she looked around, she found Yang Li. She rubbed her eyes and said with a smile, "You are back."

Yang Li looked at her and said, "Yes I'm back. But you are so tired. Why did you come to the airport?"

Xue grinned and said, "I was excited and I missed you. So, I told Zhou Jin that I will pick you up. I am not tired. It's just that I had a major operation last night. So, I didn't sleep much."

Yang Li said, "Okay then. I have called Mei and cleared up your schedule for the day. You are going to have a good rest now."

He got down the car and moved towards her side. He opened her door and said, "Let's go."

However, Xue spoke in a coquettish tone, "Li I am too tired, you have to carry me." And then signaled him to carry her.

Yang Li grinned as he picked her up like a princess. Both of them entered the elevator.

He placed her on the bed and said, "Be good now and sleep."

She immediately said, "You must stay here until I fall asleep."

He nodded and sat beside her. She held his hands. After a few minutes, she drifted off to sleep.

An hour later-

Xue was still fast asleep when Li got a call. It was from his sister. He picked it up.

Mei said, "So, have you decided?"

Yang Li asked Mei, "Sister do you want to go?"

Mei said, "I don't know. As the CEO of MLH, I should go, however as Yang Mei I'm not sure if I want to."

Yang Li said, "Elder sister it is up to you. If you think it is beneficial, we will go, otherwise, we will skip it."

Mei said, "Okay. I will think about it."
