The next day their mother went to work early. She was now the chairman of Zenith Biotech. She had to handle a lot of things as she was the new Chairman.

She had also built an apartment for herself adjacent to her workshop. Zenith Biotech was 50 miles away from Stephens Medical College and 100 miles away from her son's workshop in opposite directions.

Li decided to drop the girls at SMC and then return to his workshop. Kai also tagged along as he had nothing to do.

Yang Li drove Mei's Range Rover with Mei in the front passenger seat and the other two at the back. They reached his workshop in one and a half hours. They stopped there for about half an hour and then continued their journey.

They reached Stephens Medical College in another 2 hours. The college had a very lively and energetic atmosphere. It was buzzing with activity as new students were reporting their arrival at the admissions office.

The campus was verdant and looked beautiful. The nearest city was an hour away.

Li rode around the campus. He was impressed by the ambiance and facilities. Both Mei and Shishi went to the admissions office to report their arrival.

As usual, their arrival created a commotion amongst the new students, the juniors as well as the seniors. Shishi was one of the most beautiful girls in GVSU and apart from Tang Yue no other girl could compare to Mei. The students especially the boys were very excited.

After completing their formalities, they bid Li and Kai goodbye and went to find their rooms.

6 months later-

Yang Li's workshop was almost complete. In another month it would be fully operational. He had built an apartment for himself in the workshop itself. He had been living there for the past 2 months. It was not fancy but was comfortable with the latest amenities. Some of it was not even available in the market.

The workshop was a 5-story building including the ground floor. One floor was underground and 4 aboveground.

The underground floor housed his network 'Ghost Eye.' He decided to use this floor for secret projects. Only Yang Li had access to this floor.

The ground floor had indoor parking and a gymnasium.

The majority of work would be done on the first and the second floor. The latest technology products and services would be created here especially in areas like big data, AI and machine learning, automation, VR and AR, Blockchain, and so on.

The third floor was his private workspace. He built his apartment on this floor. It had 5 rooms and 5 bathrooms, a living room and a kitchen. Its arrangement was very similar to his penthouse but the area was larger. However, there was no swimming pool or a view of the city skyline. All the interiors were personally done by him. It was not beautiful but was extremely comfortable. His apartment was designed such that its entire energy requirements were met by renewable energy. It was a self-sufficient unit.

With Ghost eye there were no concerns regarding the security of the workshop. However, as far as physical security was concerned Li decided to create a group of highly trained mercenaries. For now, he had hired private bodyguards.

He had also built a helipad on the roof of the workshop.

Outside the workshop, he had set up a shooting range as well.

The workshop was in its final stage. He had decided to name it 'YLM Enterprise'.

In the past 6 months, he participated in another mission for the Bureau. It was a hostage rescue mission that was successfully executed. The higher-ups in the Bureau were very impressed by his skills and performance.

Yang Li had two issues that he had yet to resolve.

Firstly, he had to find a manager for his workshop. Secondly, he had to create a private group of highly trained mercenaries.

For creating the mercenary group, he decided to look for people who were ex-special forces. However, it was a tedious task.

He received a message from Zhou Lin. It was information on an ex. special forces soldier Zhou Jin. Zhou Jin was Lin's nephew. Lin informed Yang Li that Zhou Jin would be a good manager for his workshop.

When Li read his biodata, he was impressed. Zhou Jin was 22 years old; he joined the army at 17 and within 2 years he was promoted to the special forces because of his exemplary service.

His performance got even better after joining the special forces. For the next 2 years, he participated in 15 missions both domestic and international. His team had the highest clearance rate and he had the most kills in his team. In the 3rd year, he was promoted to be the leader of his unit.

However, 6 months later an incident occurred that derailed his career. A year-end party was held at a hotel and many senior officers were invited as well.

Yi Qing Si-a female special ops soldier that served in the Zhou Jin's unit also attended the party. She was very beautiful but she belonged to a commoner family. She had been harassed by a certain senior officer in the past but she never reported it.

That officer was also present at the party. After her arrival at the party, the officer put his evil plan into action. He conspired with another officer and put medicine in her drink.

It was not an aphrodisiac, rather it was a drug to numb one's senses and weaken the person. 15 minutes later, she started feeling the effects of the drug. Her vision became hazy, her movements slowed down and she started having headaches. She walked towards the washroom but was intercepted by the two men. She struggled but the drug was too potent. They took her to a room.

One of them held her hands while the other one tore off her clothes. She tried to fend them off but she did not have any strength left. She watched in horror as they started to play with her body. She wanted to cry out but her mouth was stuffed with her own torn clothes. Finally, they crossed the last line.

They continued to defile her for ten minutes when the hotel room was smashed broken by a furious Zhou Jin. He was enraged by the scene before him. Yi Qing Si was lying naked on the ground in a semi-conscious state with her face stuffed with her own clothes. Her body was filled with bite marks. The two officers were naked. Zhou Jin leaped forward and punched the 1st officer. On receiving the punch, he fainted.

Jin then moved towards the main perpetrator and started beating him. He kicked his groin area and then punched him in the stomach. He beat him half to death before the police and ambulance arrived.

All of them were taken to a hospital.

A week later Zhou Jin was court-martialled for assaulting a senior officer. The sexual assault complaint was withdrawn by the victim. The officers were freed from any charges.

It was later found that the main perpetrator named Zhu Ping had close ties with the Yang family. He also belonged to a tier 1 family. With such influence, it was easy to get Zhou Jin court-martialled. It was even easier to threaten the girl to withdraw the case.

The girl left the force and went back to her hometown. Zhou Jin started working in a casino.

After Li finished reading the complete info, a plan was formulated in his mind.

Zhou Jin was not only a good choice as a manager for the workshop, but he could even help Li in the formation of the private mercenary group.

He messaged Zhou Lin, 'His qualifications are fine. Tell him to come to the workshop, if he is interested.'

Zhou Lin replied, 'Ok.'

10 minutes later he received another message from Zhou Lin, 'He will come tomorrow.'

The next day at 10 a.m. Zhou Jin arrived at his workspace on the third floor.

When Yang Li first saw Zhou Jin, he was surprised. Jin had black hair and was about 192 cm tall. He didn't have a single ounce of extra fat but had a bulky figure. However, that didn't surprise Yang Li. What surprised him was that a huge man like Jin had such a child-like handsome face. He looked like a cute panda.

The interview began and Li asked Jin a few questions. After he was satisfied, he allowed Jin to ask any counter questions. Soon the interview ended and Yang Li gave Zhou Jin an employment contract on the spot.

It was a one-year contract for the post of manager. His yearly fixed salary was 15 million dollars. All bonuses would depend on the nature of additional work given and its completion rate. The contract shall terminate automatically, however, if both parties are satisfied it can be renewed before the expiry date. The contract also had a secrecy clause and the penalty for the breach of such a clause.

Zhou Jin was happy with the contract and signed it immediately. At that point in time, he wasn't sure if he would like to work there for more than a year. So, it was a win-win for both of them. He would start his work after the weekend. He then bid his farewell and left the workshop.
