Yang Mei picked up the call and said in a cute manner, "Little Brother, your sister has suffered grave injustice. You have to avenge me."

Yang Li asked, "Are you hurt anywhere?"

Yang Mei said, "No, not a scratch. But why are you calling me only now? I thought you would be the first one to call."

Yang Li said, "You were sleeping and I didn't want to disturb you."

Mei said, "How did you know I was sleeping?"

Li replied, "I have my ways."

"And next time when you go to such remote areas, please bring more guards with you."

Mei snorted and said, "How would I know that Xi Fan would act like a mad dog and attack me in broad daylight??"

Yang Li replied, "Because he is confident that in Cinea, no one will directly confront him. He has become brazen. Although he is smarter and more ruthless than Mo Ting, he is as arrogant as him."

"These guys are only wary of a few people from the elite families."

"Don't worry sister I will deal with them."

Mei said in a worried tone, "I know you will. But be careful, Okay. Don't get hurt in the process."

"I remember what you did to the Mo family but the Xi family is on different scale. So, please be careful."

Yang Li said, "Don't worry sister. I will handle it cleanly."

They talked for few minutes before hanging up.

After the call ended, she replied to everyone who had called her. She informed them she was fine and went to cafe to get some food.

After Yang Li ended his call with Mei he called Zhou Jin.

When Jin picked up the call, he heard Li say, "Have you collected all the information on the shootout?"

Jin replied, "I did."

Yang Li said, "Good. Send all the information to me. And meet me tonight at the workshop. Inform Wentian as well."

Jin said, "Ok."

Workshop 9 p.m.-

Three people were gathered in Yang Li's office.

Qin Wentian said, "Boss, I heard about sister Mei. Is she alright now?"

Li nodded.

Wentian continued, "So how are we going to retaliate? We have already plunged their share prices once. We have also bought many of their businesses at low prices. So, what next?"

"We can completely bankrupt the Xi family. Though, we will have to reallocate some of our resources but it can be done."

"Boss what do you say???"

Wentian looked at Yang Li with excitement. He loved working in YLM. And he became very excited when Yang Li assigned him with special missions, as it allowed him to test his skills to the limits.

When Wentian was waiting for Yang Li's reply, he heard Zhou Jin say, "Or we can directly attack and kill everyone who was involved in the shootout."

Wentian frowned at Jin and said, "Once a soldier, always a soldier. Why do want to kill directly? We should go for a more elegant and elusive approach."

Jin ignored Wentian and said, "My approach is simple and direct and it will give us a quick result."

Both Wentian and Jin started quibbling with each other.

Suddenly they heard Yang Li say, "We are not going to attack the Xi family."

"Whhhaaattt?? Boss what are you saying? You are forgiving them." Said Wentian.

Yang Li smirked and said, "Not forgive them but I have a better idea."

He continued, "As you are both aware that I'm a pacifist so I have thought of a peaceful solution to our problem."

Both Wentian aand Jin were stunned by Yang Li's words. They didn't know since when had Yang Li become so shameless. He was saying such things with a straight face.

Li said, "We will neither attack their company now will we attack their people. It is so crude and barbaric."

"Why should we attack and eliminate them, when we can simply make them submit to us."

Both Wentian and Jin were confused by his statement.

"Don't worry. Just do as I say and everything will be completed smoothly and peacefully." Said Li.

Both of them nodded.

He gave them some instructions before leaving the workshop.

Next day at MLH-

Mei arrived in her office early. Yang Li was going to meet her in her office.

The previous night he had reached his penthouse very late.

As Mei was already asleep, he couldn't check up on her. So, he left her a message.

As soon as Mei sat down in her chair there was a knock on the door. Mei said, "Come in."

She saw Xue entering her office. Xue walked towards her and stopped before her. She asked in a concerned tone, "Sister Mei why did you come to the hospital today?? You should have rested at home."

Mei felt happy by Xue's concern and a warmth spread in her body.

She said, "Don't worry Xue. I am absolutely fine now. I would rather work than sit at home doing nothing."

Bing Xue frowned and said, "Sister Mei, you work too much. You should find a boyfriend. Should I help you??"

Mei smiled and said, "Xue now you are teasing your Big sister and talking like an expert. A couple of months back you were even worse than me."

Xue became flustered and started coughing when she heard Yang Mei.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Mei's personal secretary told her that Li had arrived at the hospital.

A few minutes later Yang Li entered the office.

Yang Li was surprised to see Bing Xue in Mei's office.

As Li and Xue were looking at each other Yang Mei said, "Both of you, STOP staring at each other. And Li you said that you had something important to talk."

"What is it??"

The couple was interrupted by Mei. Xue was flustered by her actions. She decided to leave the office as Li had some important thing to discuss with Mei.

As she was about to leave, she heard Li say, "No need to go anywhere. You can listen to what I have to say."

Xue was surprised. She looked at Li and Mei. Both of them were smiling at her. She sat down in her seat.

Mei turned to Yang Li and said, "Now, let's get back to the topic. What do you want to talk about??"

Yang Li said, "I want to borrow an operation theatre here in MLH, tomorrow."

Mei replied, "That is fine. It is not a big issue. But which surgeon you want for the operation? Who is the patient? Whe…."

Yang Li interrupted her and said, "Elder Sister, you don't understand. I just want to borrow the OT and I have a few other conditions."

Mei frowned and said, "Go on, what is it?"

Li said, "I want the place for about 6 to 8 hours, tomorrow. There will be no hospital personnel around the OT during that period. All cameras and surveillance near that OT will be blocked."

Mei's frown became deeper when she heard his requests. Even Xue was puzzled by these strange requests.

Mei said, "YANG LI, are you going to do something illegal in my hospital??"

Yang Li coughed and said, "I will not respond to that."

"I just want to know if you agree? or I will make other arrangements."

Mei sighed and said, "Where will you go if not here?"

Yang Li said, "Don't worry I will find somewhere suitable."

Mei said, "Will it affect whatever it is you are doing?"

Yang Li paused a bit and replied, "A bit but not by much."

Mei knew Li was lying. She sighed again and finally gave in. She said, "Do whatever you have to here in MLH. I will make the necessary arrangements."

"But promise me one thing."

Li said, "What is it?"

Mei said, "Make sure that no one dies in the OT."

Li paused for a bit and said, "Sure, elder sister no one will die in that OT.... most probably."

He spoke the last bit in a low voice.

He greeted both the girls and quickly left the office.

"What do you think sister Mei?" said Xue.

"I don't know. I really can't tell what he is up to. However, it is definitely something shady." Said Mei.

Both the girls talked for a few more minutes after which Xue left the office, as she had a surgery scheduled later.
