Ain't No Way

In the gray world we call earth our protagonist is coming home from work after a long atrocious day....

Y'know I always Mondays, I'm sure everyone hates Monday's aside from work alcoholics of course.

Today started off shitty since I enjoyed sleeping in, my mother made me walk to school in under 20 degree weather which basically ruined my day from the start, then my teachers gave 2 quizzes and a Huge test, I wouldn't know why they gave the test but it pretty much made me want to make all the kids with the pumped up kicks run. Then I had to go immediately to the mall to work under my sadistic boss, she sometimes makes me feel like I was the only one being abused by her power but then again my co-workers reminded me they were there by helping me out by taking her tyranny with me.

I would've left the job but the pay is pretty good for a 16 year old like me. Putting my coat on after a Long day I began leaving the mall with my backpack and umbrella, poking my head out the back door I saw that it was raining so I opened the umbrella over me to protect me from the terrifyingly cold rain which were shaped like daggers.

Walking out into the parking lot it took a while but I finally made it out onto the highway, it was pretty empty as it was already around 12:01 am, walking down the highway I made it to the Light as it turn from yellow into red.

Looking from left to right I was about to step out onto the street as I had a flashback from when my mother told me something important

*FlashBack*

"Alright E, you gotta remember anytime you cross any type of road make sure to look left to right and stay at the corner for at least thirty seconds since there's always some dumbass thinking he could eat a red light"

Making sure I remember I wrote it down mentally as I make it one of the many rules in my life.

"Ok mom, I'll remember what you say"

*Flashback end*

Taking back my foot I continue looking back and forth not caring if I looked like a drug addict going through a seizure.

After thirty seconds I placed my foot on the street as I felt the rain get heavier and heard a truck honk from the left as I jumped back and it roared forward as it pulled the wind making the umbrella get taken from my hand.

As I got showered I cursed at that damn wannabe optimus prime, searching for where the umbrella went I saw it floating away at a speed which would shame probably the most common of speed boats.

Seeing it go I continued my trek as I threw away what my mother said a sped across the road to the other side.

Feeling my spidey sense tingling I looked to my left as my body pushed itself to its limits, looking in the direction my paranoia kicked in as I searched for any dangers only seeing a homeless man on the floor under the rain and hearing the sound of thunder as a man ran away to the opposite direction from where I am.

Not caring about whatever just occurred I went back to my trek I continued into the factory district which was right next to the mall, my destination being the pier which was where my grandmother lived. My phone began ringing which made me rush to pick it up as I hoped it was my mother worrying about my location

Looking at the watery screen I saw the phone number which was calling

~SCAM LIKELY~

"FUCK ME"

This was the last straw as I walked, my eyes were clearly sweating as my mind was having a meltdown. This may be nothing to normal adults but to me who was somewhat spoiled I couldn't stand it, I never really had much hardships but this just showed me my life isn't rainbows and sunshine

MY body hurt, it was cold, and numb from the rain, my body felt under nourished as I had body aches and haven't eaten since yesterday after I lost my taste. I longed for food as I reached the pier and began running as adrenaline began pumping into my body

In my vision all I saw was water, the color grey, the sound of lightning and a light in all my darkness.

Making it to my grandmother's house I enter as she usually left the door open, the lights were on and the house was warm, Taking off my clothes I put in some warmer clothing as I went to the dining room to eat the food my grandmother always leaves me

Seeing that she didn't greet me I could only assume that she was asleep

Sitting down, I said my little prayer and begun consuming the soup till I stopped as my throat got stuck by a chicken or carrot

Standing up I tried acting calm as I slowly lost air in my body, trying to do cpr on myself I began to panic as nothing was working.

*CRRRRRRRRR*

The door was broken as multiple men wearing police vest, helmets, and holding guns came in.

Surprised and Confused by the sudden entrance I searched for help among them as they enter in

"HANDS UP NOW"

My eyes were teary as I put my hands up and to my throat

"HANDS UP RIGHT NOW OR WE WILL SHOOT"

My brain slowly losing consciousness as I dropped my hands to my waist and stumbled backwards to the window behind me.

Putting my hands behind me subconsciously to stop me from falling I heard a few last words and sounds before I closed my eyes

"HE'S REACHING FOR A WEAPON, FIREEEEE"

*BANG**BANG**BANG**BANG**BANG**BANG**BANG*

Continuous shots hit my body as I slammed into the window and began falling into the harbor

Last thoughts

'Ain't, No, Fuckin, Way'

That was the end of my life or so I thought.......
