12- Shopping with a Killer part 2

After what felt like an everlasting silence, I decided to break it. "Did you know about my mother?" I asked him, uncertain if he would be totally honest with me.

"I knew that he sold her, yes, but I did not know that she was your mom. I was the one who took her to the grey's that night." I studied his face as he gritted his teeth as if he were uncomfortable talking about this. I wanted to believe him, but I was so uncertain about the circumstances of my life at the moment. However, I was confident he was being 100% honest with me.

"Why would he sell her like that?" I ask him, trying to make sense of it all.

"I don't know Naomi," he growled. I could tell he was angry, but I didn't care. I needed to know this.

"She is a human Sam, she has rights! She shouldn't have just been sold off like she was his property!" I scream, throwing my arms up in the air.

"Naomi, you forgot something. She was his property as your Dad sold her off to save himself and I believe it was for around $145,000 or something like that," he said calmly.

"He sold me for way more than that!" I yelled at him.

"Not to make matters worse, he did it because he knew he could. The younger you are, the more you are worth, and your father knew that. Plus it helps that you are a virgin. Men will pay upwards of a million dollars for a virgin in the human trafficking trade!" he beams, eyes glaring at the road.

"What? Really?"

"Yep, you are extremely valuable property just because you are a virgin, and Milo knows that. Your father didn't have as much knowledge of the trade, so he might have selected someone else, more dangerous than Milo. You got lucky," he says calmly.

I look over at him, "My father knew enough Sam, that's probably why he has the rule that he does." I reply, watching as he pulls the car to a stop on the off-ramp.

"What rule is that?"

"He doesn't let us date, always telling us we can't date until we graduate high school and leave to go to college. He's trying to keep our value up!" I heard the tremble in my voice but tried hard to ignore it.

Sam paused, taking a deep breath, and said, "That may be true Naomi, and I might just have to tell Milo that so he can keep a better eye on him." He nodded.

After I gulp down some air, I think to myself, "I have to do something to help save my sisters from his wrath, Sam." He glances in my direction, momentarily taking his eyes off the road. He sends me a wink, then turns his attention back to the road.

"Wrath?" he asks. "Don't worry Naomi, I am already on that."

"Sam, what do you mean? Already on what?" I ask, surprised to hear that response from him.

"I am working out a way to get your sisters out of that house."

"Yeah? How?" I snap at him.

He laughed, "Don't be so quick to judge me. I am a lot more powerful than you might think I am. I have my own house, and I'm considering allowing them to stay there. But I must get your mother out of the greys first and move her in there as well."

"What? Why are you so willing to help me?" I asked him.

He clears his throat. "Well, I like you, Naomi. I realize we cannot do anything right now, but if I let you know about my plans right now, you won't let things get too far with Milo. I'll make you mine someday, once he decides that he's done with you." He growls as I watch him turn the wheel, forcing the truck to turn onto a different street.

"Why me, Sam?"

"Well, I have to say that you are absolutely gorgeous. It would take a blind person not to recognize your worth, which makes me angry that he's using you that way. Even though I keep bringing it up, I am just trying to buy myself some time until I can officially claim you." He says with a smirk.

"I get that you think I'm beautiful, but I am nothing special, I can assure you of that!" I say matter-of-factly. As he stops at another red light, he tilts his head and glares at me, sending me a sly smile.

"You're special Naomi, you don't see your value. I feel it in my gut that you're special." Then he turns his attention back to the task in front of him.

I roll my eyes at the roof of the truck, "Whatever you say." I chuckle a bit.

When he presses the gas, making the truck move again. I glance out the window at all the buildings flying by. I noticed all the people that were just walking around and strolling about their merry way without a care in the world. I silently wished I could be like them. I didn't want to believe he saw anything special in me, something I didn't even recognize in myself. I always assumed that Jax would be it for me, that I would end up marrying him and spending the rest of my life with him. I have realized that with everything that has happened, that may not be the case anymore. It looks like my choices are Milo or Sam, so who do I really prefer?

"Where is this mall?" I ask him looking around.

He tilts his head in my direction, giving me a knowing stare. "It's right there..." he says, pointing at the huge brick building that just appeared on my horizon. When I remembered my last shopping trip with him, my stomach started to twist. I silently hoped that nothing would happen today, but when he flashed me his gun again as a warning, I knew that he was prepared for anything.

He reaches out and grabs my shoulder slowly. "Let's go inside," he says in a calm voice. I turn and open my door to climb out of the truck on my own, no need for his help. I step around the truck and he extends his arm out, embracing me in a hugging manner as he leads me into the building.

"Where are we going first?" I ask him, looking for an answer.

I hear the light chuckle roll from his chest, "Well, depending on what you want to shop for first? We have to get you a little bit of everything, pants, jeans, shirts, pajamas, and even intimates!" he says with a smirk and wink.

"Let's just walk around until we find a store that looks to have what we need inside," I say with a smile.

"Sounds like a plan to me!" Sam exclaims as we walk along the open walkways, and I immediately notice a few stores that look promising to me. I turn my attention to Sam who looks like he is enjoying himself.

"How about this store over there?" he said, pointing to the store on our right. It was a prestigious clothing company with a reputation for high-quality fashion. I thought it would be a great place to start. The clothes looked like ones that rich, stuffy people would want to see me in. So I figured it would be the logical place to start.

We found several articles of clothing that suited me when we walked through the racks of clothes. After he bought the ones we selected, it was already after 11:30 am and we both were hungry after our early start this morning. So I joined him in the food court to eat some lunch. We stood in line to order Chinese food. I liked Chinese food so I stood there next to him and almost jumped out of my skin. I felt him slip his hand into mine. "What are you doing?" I asked him. He just sent a warm smile my way. He places our order and we pick up our food. He leads me to a small round table and we sit down to eat. I glance up into his eyes and he was smiling with a smirk on his face. I knew I was blushing, but I didn't know why. After all, this was Sam and I had never seen him like that.

"Well, that depends on what you want to buy next, my dear." He grins at me.

"What do you mean?"

"Do you want to look for intimate items? Because if you do, I'm not so sure I'm willing to step inside the store with you. Do you understand what I mean?" He chuckles.

"Yeah, I know. But I'd like to get this out of the way, and I would like to have you come over so I can see what kind of things he likes." I remain calm.

"What, you want to come shopping for intimates with me right now?" he asks me with a smirk.

"Yep."

"Well, then, Victoria's Secret is just over there," he says, pointing just to the left of us and I note the bright pink of the store's logo just a short way away. I send him a flirty smile as I get up from his table and make my way over to the store without checking if he was following me. After all, it's his job right now.

Just as I turned around to find him a step behind me, "Sam, you think you'd be willing to help me pick out a few pieces?" I asked him with an innocent smile.

"What? You want my help?" he snorted.

I reply, "Yes I do. You ought to know what kind of things Milo likes, right?" with a soft chuckle, eyeing the store in front of me.

He smiles slowly at me. "Well I'm a guy, so I should know what guys like Milo like, right?" he replies, letting out a long sigh.

I flash him my pearly whites. "So you will help me?" I ask him.

"Yeah, I guess."

When I approached the store, I noticed a few articles of clothing on the racks that made my cheeks turn a deep shade of red. Showing off my innocence to him and feeling uncomfortable when the clerk asked me if I'd like to try one on for my boyfriend. From then on, he called himself my "boy toy" making my cheeks redder. I grabbed a black one-piece and tried it on. The clerk called me out so she could fit me, but I was so nervous as I knew he was right there with her. This piece did cover all of my private parts, so I shook my shoulders and looked right into his eyes.

My stomach flutters with butterflies as a seductive smile creeps onto his face. He gently steps towards me, grabbing my wrist and leading me to him. His fingers run across my bare skin sending goosebumps down my arms and chills down my spine. He cups his hand under my chin, then gently tilts my face. He stares at my face as he says, "FUCK IT!" before leaning forward to meet my lips, and I deepen the kiss by parting my lips. He expertly slips his tongue between my lips. We break the kiss with the sound of a deep throat clearing behind us. Then I heard a deep voice that sounded familiar.

"What the hell is going on here? Does Milo know that you're kissing his girl?" Finn Grey asked with a devilish smile on his handsome face; he knew he had caught Sam in a troublesome act. I turned to look up at Finn, who was standing behind me, and my stomach hit the floor.

I knew we were in trouble now, but then I heard Sam clear his throat and reply to his question. "Umm, now that's not really your business, isn't it? Run and change Naomi, I'll take care of Finn here." As Sam growled out, I noticed the scowl on his face and ran inside to change.

I could hear them talking on the other side of the door as I scrambled to get my clothes back on. "What is wrong with you guys? Now you are treating her like a dog! What is wrong with you guys treating women that way?" I heard the anger in his tone, so I left the dressing room right as he finished that sentence with the garment in hand, and handed it to Sam for purchase. After receiving that kind of reaction from Sam, I knew I was buying that intimate.
