260 A good news, a bad news

Levs Private Hospital.

The air in Josh Levs's office was filled with smoke.

Harlan Palmer and Norton Jarvis were sitting on the sofa, smoking anxiously. Meanwhile, Josh was reading a report, flipping through the pages from time to time.

"What kind of fate is Gem facing?" Norton asked before extinguishing his cigarette, adding, "Life is truly unfair."

Harlan asked, "Josh, is there really no way out?"

Without looking up, Josh continued to focus on the report, asking, "Which problem are you referring to? Gem's poison or Viola's pregnancy? If it's Gem's poison, I am doing my best to help him. But if it's Viola's pregnancy, I am sorry. My suggestion is for them...not to have the baby."

Norton stood up, grabbed Josh by the collar, and said, "You're a doctor, a doctor! You know how important that child is to Gem."

Josh, still remaining calm, stared at Norton and replied, "I think if there were no child, Gem's will to live would be stronger."
