Itsy bitsy Airachnid Part 2

Meanwhile Arcee and Emily are driving along the way towards their destination as Emily was glancing at Arcee who's been silent for quite some time and she couldn't help but worry. The silence reigned for a while before Emily broke it with a concerned voice.

"Um, Arcee, are you sure you're okay?" Emily asked in concern slowly as Arcee glanced at her with her side view mirror.

"Yeah, yeah I'm okay." Arcee answered her shortly but Emily could hear the hesitance in her voice

"Are you sure about that? Ever since we left the abandoned gas station, you've been pretty quiet." Emily raised an eyebrow and Arcee handed it to her for being observant.

"I'm sorry about that." Arcee apologized as Emily smiled softly at her.

"I can see that there's something you're not telling me. You said earlier that this place made you think about someone. Care to tell me?" She asked curiously as she turned back to the road. Arcee thinks about it for a moment before making the decision on telling her.

"Follow me." Arcee told her as she made a turn.

Emily turns around and follows her as Arcee takes Emily somewhere that Arcee knows. After a few minutes, they arrived at the place as they slowed down.

"We're here." Arcee told her as they slowed to a stop.

Arcee and Emily come to a complete stop as Arcee transforms back and Emily turns her motorcycle engine off and parks it before taking off her helmet before looking around their surroundings and she grows curious.

"Where are we?" Emily asked curiously as they slid down and looked around as Arcee started to walk forward and Emily followed.

"This is the place where Bulk, Miko and I found the Polarity Gauntlet." Arcee told her as she began her little story. The name made Emily confused and curious as she looked up to her friend and mother figure.

"The Polarity Gauntlet?" Emily asked curiously as a small smile appeared on Arcee's face-plate as she nodded.

"A magnetic weapon created by the Decepticons long ago. We saw Breakdown and... someone else fought for it. In order to fight them, we put Miko to safety first." Emily snorted with a smile as she was told by both Jack and Bulkhead that Miko always sneaks through the ground bridge whenever she finds the opportunity.

"It figures. So let me guess you fought the cons and something happened during the fight that triggered the Polarity Gauntlet." Emily puts a hand on her hip as she looks at Arcee who chuckled softly as she nodded.

"Yeah. A big brute called Breakdown. He magnetized me to Bulkhead." Emily raised an amused eyebrow at this as Arcee grins softly.

"Really?" She asked in amusement as she tried to picture it.

"Yeah. In a way, I got Bulkhead's back." This made Emily snicker as she tried to stop a giggle or two from escaping.

"Wait... You're telling me that you got magnetized onto Bulkhead's back?" Emily couldn't stop her giggles as she started laughing.

"Yeah and let me tell you that you don't wanna be there when he lands on his back. Trust me." Arcee couldn't help but laugh as well since she finds it painful yet funny.

They both ended up laughing for five minutes before they calmed down as Emily wipes a tear from laughing too hard.

"Okay, I have to admit it's a fun story. But you didn't tell me who the other con was." Emily smiled before growing curious about who the other Decepticon that Arcee didn't tell her.

"Someone I'd hope I wouldn't ever have to tell you about. The other con was.... Airachnid." This confused Emily but she could hear the malice and anger in Arcee's voice.

"Airachnid? Who's she? And what did she do to you?" Emily asked her in confusion yet concern was written all over her features.

"Hmm..." Arcee hummed softly as she was hesitating on telling her about her past and Emily saw this clearly.

"If you don't feel like telling, I understand." Emily reassured her and Arcee saw that she wasn't being too nosy, only curious.

"It's okay. I've learned that sometimes it's best to speak to someone about something instead of keeping things inside. Long ago... my partner." Arcee started as she let out a shaky breath and clenched her servo and Emily watched her with concern as she asked hesitantly.

"Cliffjumper?" She asked slowly but Arcee just shook her head and told her the name of her former partner.

"Tailgate..." Arcee said with a look of sadness in her optics.

"Tailgate? Who's Tailgate?" Emily asked curiously since Optimus told her that Arcee lost someone called Tailgate before Cliffjumper.

Arcee nodded and continued her tale as they both sat down to talk.

"An old and former partner of mine. During the war, Airachnid was able to capture me and made me a prisoner. She tortured me to try and get some information that she needed from me. Later on, she learned that no matter what she did to me I wouldn't say anything. And then she told me what she did. Since I wasn't gonna talk... she captured Tailgate and... killed him. She let me watch when she did it... to make me suffer..." Arcee let out a shaky breath as the memory was just like it was only yesterday and it still left a scar.

"I never knew... I'm sorry." Emily blinked the tears that were starting to form from her optic-eye from this. Arcee suffered so much and watching her partner kill and die before her very optics must've been too hard on her.

"For so long, I've blamed myself for not being able to save my partner." Arcee put her servos against her face-plate and let out a few stray tears.

"It wasn't your fault, Arcee. Just like you and the other Autobots, Tailgate knew the risk. He knew what could've happened in a war. I might not know anything about him but I do know that if he was still here, he would tell you that he's proud of you accomplishing your duty as a partner." Emily told her as she put her hand on her knee as Arcee looked at her with a soft smile. Optimus and his words and wisdom really did rub on Emily and it made her wise.

"Thanks... I... appreciate it." Arcee chuckled softly as she smiled at her as Emily smiled back.

"We have a saying for this. That's what friends are for." Emily smiled even more as she looked up to her as she stood up.

"I like how it sounds. Well... we should get going. Maybe we should call the base to get your bike out of here since it's almost out of gas." Arcee suggested but before Emily could agree a familiar voice that Arcee knew all too well was heard and it made her energon run cold as Emily and Arcee turn around to see a femme standing a little ways from them.

"Or maybe you two could stay so we can have a little more time for some girl chat." Airachnid said as she smiled sinisterly as the vehicons were hiding and were waiting for orders.

Arcee became angered to see Airachnid and she didn't want to put Emily in danger, who was standing beside her with a fearful and nervous look in her eyes.

"Airachnid." Arcee sneered with hatred as Airachnid just smiled at her with glee in her violet optics.

"Hello, Arcee." Airachnid greeted with a sinister smile before looking to where Emily was as the human hid behind Arcee as Airachnid smiled at seeing her target.

"And I see you brought your new friend. I can't wait to get to know her. You know, maybe we'll get along before I stuff her in my new trophy room." Airachnid took a step forward to see Emily more but Arcee blocked her line of sight with a glare.

"You know I will never let you touch her." Arcee readied her gun to protect her friend.

"Maybe you should try and negotiate with my troops. Decepticons, turn her into scrap metal." Airachnid lost her smile and pointed to her when she ordered them.

The Decepticons then came out of hiding and started shooting at Arcee who retaliated with her own before addressing Emily but didn't take her optics from the battle.

"Emily, find a place to hide. I'll handle this." Arcee told her as she blocked a shot from a vehicon but Emily shook her head and refused to let Arcee fight alone.

"I can help you!" Emily argued as she looked at Arcee with a determined look but there was slight fear in them of leaving her alone.

"Not this time. You must get to safety. Now go!" Arcee instructed as she then rushed to the battle to give Emily enough time to hide.

Emily hesitated on leaving but eventually did so, following Arcee instructions and went somewhere to hide. With her safe from the danger, Arcee then starts to engage the Decepticons as she starts shooting back at them one by one. The cons tried to get to her but she wasn't going to allow them to get past her unaware that a certain spider Decepticon was nowhere in sight. Meanwhile, Emily was trying to find a place to hide as she shook her head as her mind and heart reasoned with her that she had to go back and help Arcee. She then successfully found a perfect place to hide and lean against the wall and panted heavily. But when she got there, she couldn't stop but felt something behind her. It was hard and felt like metal as fear set upon her optic-eye before she turned around slowly and saw that Airachnid was behind her with a sinister smile. She must've followed her in order to separate both her and Arcee.

"Hello there, little girl." Airachnid reached down towards her as she let out a terrified scream.

Emily let out a scream that would alert Arcee that she was in danger. To avoid Arcee from hearing her scream, Airachnid uses her web fluid to gag her and tie her hands and feet up to avoid her ruining as she struggles while letting out muffled screams.

"Mmmphh! mmmph!" Emily struggled to get her binds off but it was no use as she looked up and glared at Airachnid with a heated look in her optic-eye and it made the spider femme Decepticon to blinked in surprise as she could clear see the fire burning in them but she just shook her head and smiled at her sinisterly.

"Save your energy, child. You won't escape from me." Airachnid told her as she lifted her chin to look in her optic-eye as her glare softened a little before pulling her chin away quickly but winced as it cut her slightly but not enough to draw blood.

"Mmmph..." Emily kept on trying to get the bindings off her to get away.

"Megatron will be pleased that I was able to successfully capture you. Can't say it was a fun hunt." The name she mentioned made Emily stop in her struggles and it made her heart drop cold in fear. Megatron sent Airachnid to capture her?! This gave Emily more reason to struggle but she stopped as she panted lightly through her nose as she lost a bit of her energy and strength.

Airachnid then hears the sound of shooting and she looks up and sees from afar and far from them that Arcee is still standing which complicates things. If Arcee defeats the vehicons and realizes that Emily was in danger, this would make her mission harder.

"Arcee is still standing which will complicate things. Time to go." She told herself as she noticed that Emily stopped her struggles and it will be easy to take her now.

Airachnid then grabs her captive while Arcee has only two cons left to handle then she will start to look for Emily and pray to Primus and the Allspark that she is okay. She continues to fight hard but they were able to knock her down hard on the ground and cause her to grunt in pain. She fell to the ground, struggling to get up but was feeling her strength and energy depleting quickly. Just as the cons were about to shoot her, Airachnid calls them to retreat as Airachnid holds Emily in one servo.

"Decepticons, retreat!" Airachnid ordered them as she quickly went somewhere to hide to contact the ship to get out of the place with her captive in servo.

The Decepticons left Arcee behind and retreated as ordered as they the cons flew back to the Nemesis as Arcee was able to look up and saw Airachnid disappeared to the side and noticed the blue and blond hair color of something in her hand and it caused her energon to run cold as she realized that the Vehicons were a distraction.
