Sitting inside the Bus Jack looked outside and saw the gorgeous view of the hilly landscape. And Eve also seemed to enjoy it since she was currently looking outside the window as well.

"I still can't get over the vast amounts of forest that are here. Makes my previous living places laughable in comparison.", commented Jack while sorting through his memories.

Eve's attention now changed back to him. "Where did you live before?"

"Florida, in a little village called Lloyd." That was in fact where this body had lived before. Coming to realize how he ended up from one end of the country to the other. "Most of the space there is flatland and farms."

"I don't believe it's that amazing here.", Eve answered after confirming his reply.

Jack raised a brow. "Doesn't sound like you want to stay here?"

"We are basically close to being somewhere with nothing but forests surrounding us. Just like you said..."

"That doesn't really explain your dislike, though. I remember you like visiting the quiet park after all?" Thinking about it a little he didn't really believe that would be reason alone.

For a second Eve was surprised since he was not wrong at all. "It feels rather stuffing. Ever since I can remember I didn't see anything else. I guess I'm a little bit envious about how you seem to have more experience in that."

"Believe me if I say that the village was even smaller than Summerville, so you are not missing out on anything. And you can just travel after finishing college, no?" Jack didn't bother to assume she would just waste her education.

Now Eve looked a little bit downcast. "Maybe I will be stuck here forever..."

Jack looked at her closely. "You know, we got some amazing shores with the ocean right at our doorsteps and nature around everywhere with a decent enough community. And there are even some hot chicks running around as well." Jack evaluated his new hometown and started talking again. "Not half bad to be stuck here I think."

Eve now looked surprised again. When she looked at him she could see his big grin. That made her sigh lightly. "There are some weirdos living here as well."

"Really? So far my experience is quite amazing." Jack immediately countered her.

Now Eve blushed because she understood he meant her with his comments as well. To not get stunned she went straight back to the topic at hand as fast as she could.

"Yep, I can show you when you come to my place. We got a rather elevated spot and you can look pretty well over the town." That thought got her shade of red even bigger since she realized right after that she went ahead and invited him to her place. Hell, she wasn't that type of girl! What went into her!

Jack only chuckled inwardly seeing her now so flustered. Somehow he started to enjoy teasing her."Heeee~ So you like spying on people as well?"

"It's not my fault they are doing whatever they are doing!" It seemed Eve was a little bit thoughtful about the activities of the people in Summerville.

Not that Jack was yet privy about any of them. Though it looked like Eve was a little bit defensive about that matter for some reason.

"Then it's a deal. When we get a chance you need to show me." So he quickly interjected after thinking about it probably being something interesting.

"Alright, then you will know what I mean." Eve smiled at his proposal and calmed down a lot.

And just when they did both start to get into a rather decent conversation one could already see the bustling skyline of the bigger city.

"Looks like we are also not that far off to a bigger city.", Jack commented now.

Eve only nodded to that and looked at the cityscape with a small longing expression.

Soon the bus halted at a bus station.

"Let's see. Looks like we got a 3-hour time limit here or we are going to end up having to stay the night at a hotel." Jack went straight to looking at the schedule that the buses used.

"That is a rather short window." Eve seemed to be a little bit worried now. "My sis is going to kill me if I end up missing for a day."

"That strict?" Jack asked not bothering to add that she was an adult.

"She can be like that sometimes. I don't blame her for that." Eve had a soft smile on her face that indicated a fondness towards her older sister even if she was said to be strict.

Jack just smiled back seeing that. "Alright, then let's see. We probably will be walking a certain amount to reach the place that specifically sells the instruments and the restaurant is..." Looking at his phone for navigation, sure enough, made him dread. "...on the opposite side. Damn it. I thought it was closer."

"I'm not that picky. We could also go to this place here if you'd like." Eve points to another fast-food restaurant with her finger.

"You certain? I specifically choose the sandwich place because most of the time my female friends ended up rejecting me every time because they disliked the fatty places."

'Oh crap, I blurted something out from my old life. Do people even go hard vegan and stuff yet?' Jack thought at the same time.

"Hey!" Now Eve pouted a little and hit his shoulder. She had a completely different opinion on that matter it seemed.

That thought confused Jack immensely. "Okay?" He nocked his head sideways.

"Oh!" Suddenly some realization hit him and he instantly backtracked. "Whoa, I didn't mean it like that, Eve. Obviously, you don't have to worry about that with your gorgeous figure. I just had in mind if you were potentially vegan and stuff."

"Vegan?", asked Eve back with a certain puzzled expression.

"Someone that doesn't consume animal products because of either animal torture or other things like religion. Like at all. It's a step further than vegetarianism. For example, many monks in Buddhism are doing so."

"I see...First time I heard the term. No, I'm fine with both." Eve seemed to have genuinely only heard about the word for the first time.

'Looks like the non-diary vegetarian movement is not yet such a big thing for everyone to know about. Come to think, should I try it out?'

[Please don't, you would make my job harder. Keep being an omnivore.] Surprisingly KISS had an opinion on the matter as well.

"Well, with that solved let's enjoy our stay here then."

With that little accident being pushed under the rug they went ahead to do what they were here for.

Note to himself though. Never ever again end up indicating something that would otherwise call a girl chubby. Good thing this time around it was by mistake even if he had already pre-prepared himself.
