Outside his coffee shop, yelling erupted, and Jack burned his thumb as he frothed the milk. Was the local gang fighting again in his alley? The last time they were there, cops showed up and scared his customers away. After dabbing his injury with a cool towel, he frowned and continued heating the milk in the stainless steel pitcher while the steam from the spout of the espresso machine foamed the white liquid.
"I'm in a hurry," snapped the customer standing against the counter.
"Nonfat milk doesn't froth as rapidly as the regular stuff. Unless you want-" The light fixture over the pastries swung wildly from an impact on the roof. What the fuck is going on out there?
