"Let's go home," he whispered in her ear. Damn, she smelled of summer rain and cotton candy.
She beamed at him, and he wanted all of her smiles, and for her to save the best ones for him alone.
"Wait, what about the limo?" she asked.
"I sent him home after he dropped us off." He grinned. "I was going to suggest we walk, but then I'm not the one wearing those."
"Are you insulting my shoes?" She waggled her foot decked out in the three-inch stiletto.
"Not at all." They walked hand in hand for a few blocks before she stopped him at the corner.
She huffed, but smiled. "Alright, you twisted my ankle. Let's get a ride."
