Chapter 125: Cyclops Rumble

Ty

Ty didn't take his gaze off the giant even as the silver tray of fresh meats and fruit vibrated until it came to rest on the temple's marble floor. Some Cyclopes were vegetarian, but not all, like this one saying he wanted to consume them.

"Zarna!" the creature bellowed, the sound vibrating through Ty's chest. "I'm going to eat these two unless you tell me no."

"Get behind me." Ty motioned for Carla. From the corner of his vision, he realized she stood there unmoving. "Carla!"

She glared at him. What the hell? He couldn't fight a Cyclops. Even his incubus strength wouldn't be enough. He hoped to distract the monster enough to give Carla a chance to escape. Cyclopes had few weaknesses. A sensitivity around his eye, as he had a lack of depth and peripheral vision, and his movements were lumbering.

"Guess Zarna doesn't object." Drool splattered the ground between them. "I've been famished for months now."

"When he lunges at me, run," Ty said. "Don't look back."
