What's All This? A Rebellion?

He slowly stepped into a clearing in the forest, his eyes start fixating from object to object, when he noticed the small ruins of a hut infront of him. He closely walked up to the hut, and inspected it's insides.

"The smell is horrible... why am I smelling it?!" A voice laughed, and he stumbled backwards.

He hit the back of his foot against a log, and fell over; but a tree prevented him from touching the ground. "My head... hey you... don't you dare keep silent! I know you did that!" He reached his fist into the air, waving it around.

'Anyway... what's all this?'

"The trail of those traitors is what." He knelt. He picked up a flower that was trampled and flattened. "The campfire is still warm, they can't be far." He picked up his broad sword, a brown leather bag. And walked away from the camp.

He soon heard several footsteps, as well as a conversation between 2 people. "When are we going to reach the border?" One asked worriedly. "The leader is skilled, I know that we will be able to reach to border, no problem!" The other one flexed their muscles. "They're really small, you should exercise more. Are you even a farmer?"

"Found you."

Kuoka jumped from behind a tree, grabbing their leader by the neck, and stomping on another. "It's him! Run!" The group started scrambling in every direction. "Hey, you're not supposed to run away! How cowardly are you?!" Kuoka started giving chase to the weak farmer, grasping his torso in less than a second.

The farmer's eyes were filled with tears, snot ran down his nose, and saliva was pooling from his mouth. "Tch, you're getting my armor dirty, you filthy peasant!" He slammed the farmer into a nearby tree. Flattening both the tree, and his head.

"Now, where are the others..." he slowly looked around his surroundings; and there was a line of blood, that didn't lead far. It went down to a cave. "Quite the resilient one, aren't you." He descended into the cave, it was pitch black. And a shadowy figure sat behind a corner, frightened and afraid.

His teeth chattered, his body shivered, and his mind spun uncontrollably. "I can see you." The man quickly stood, and tried to run out of the cave. But was instead thrown deeper. "Oh, you still aren't dead? You would make for a good soldier you know!" Kuoka yelled into the cave.

The man at the bottom, was panting. With blood dripping down his face, he could no longer see anything. Only the smashing footsteps by Kuoka were all he could hear, as he fell unconscious. Kuoka picked him up from the collar, and looked closely at his face.

"Make for a good soldier... aren't you that soldier that ran away from war, because you were scared? I was wrong then, huh... I'm rarely ever wrong." Kuoka rubbed his chin, and snapped the neck of the unconscious man.

"On to the next one."

He leapt out of the cave. He landed on the top of a tree; he placed a hand over his eyes to block the sun. "It's quite hot today isn't it. A good day, I would say."

"Oh... there you are! Really had me looking hard. Are you accustomed to this forest perhaps? You might be useful."

Kuoka jumped from tree to tree, finally landing infront of the woman. She screamed loudly when she saw birds flying away in flocks, one by one, as Kuoka approached. The birds flew away again. And Kuoka landed. "You're quite the runner, nearly had me panting."

"Say... would you care to join my army? We could use someone like you!"

"I-in your dreams!" She spat onto Kuoka's armor. "Why do all of you always have to get your disgusting saliva, all over my armor? I'm sick of it now." He grabbed the forehead of the woman, and squeezed the orange.

The woman's ginger hair fell to the ground. And then her body.

"That should be it for this group. 2 more right? I wonder if my generals have cleaned them up yet."

Kuoka whistled as he walked out of the forest. In the distance, stood a massive fortress. It towered over the land, and even the large tree that resided in the forest near his village. Was the only thing that could rival this fortress, in terms of size.

Dark crows clenched onto the walls, not disturbed by the events below. They cawed whenever the gates opened. "I need to get rid of those birds soon, they're quite loud." He picked up a stick from the floor, and threw it at the birds. "Bullseye!" He had pierced, straight through one of the birds. Sending the others flying away.

"Huh? What's all this." When Kuoka entered through the gates, there was a large fight going on in the middle of the street. "Listen guys, if you want to fight. Do it on the battlefield, don't do it in the middle of the road!" He walked up to them, and hit one of the drunk wrestlers. His head spun, and blood spurted out from his mouth.

"That should teach all of you a lesson! Don't waste your energy on useless things!" He waved to the crowd as he walked away. "The cleaners did quite a good job today. I should reward them."

He walked into the castle, and a ragtag group of townspeople stood to greet him. "We've finished cleaning the walls of the castle. My lord."

"I see that it's very well done, you all deserve a reward." He took a pouch from beneath his light green coat.

He gently placed it into the hands of their leader. "You did the outside; but have you finished the inside?" Their leader gulped, he started sweating. "W-we are c-currently w-working on it - My lord."

"You have 1 more hour. Make use of it."

"Yes, My lord! Get to work now, ALL OF YOU!"

All the townspeople in the castle, stood firm and marched away. "I'll be awaiting your report, I'll be in my room for now."

The leader of the cleaning group, swiftly walked away from the front room, to go attend to matters at the back of the castle.

He straightened a whip, cracked it against the floor, and started whipping the backs of the workers. "Work faster! We only have an hour!"

He continued whipping the workers until they finished their jobs. "My lord. The cleaning is done, wasn't I very quick?" Kuoka was lounging on his chair. "You were very fast, for that I shall reward you."

Kuoka walked up to the leader, with his hand under his coat. "Thank you, My lo-" Kuoka grabbed the mouth of the leader using his left arm. "Very quick? It's been 3 hours, what part of that is quick? I gave you 1. Are you insulting me?"

"N-no, I would never! Forgive my insolence!"

"I'll forgive you." He placed the man back down on his feet. "Come over to my table for a second."

The man slowly walked behind Kuoka, and he peeked into a drawer in his desk. "What do you see?"

"I-is that an arm? My lord, with all due respect, I-I'm afraid I do not know what you could be implying."

"Do you not recognize the arm of the one you love? I remember giving you an hour. Not forgiveness."

The man looked closer at the arm, and noticed the same ring that he had, on the fourth finger. He covered his mouth; but couldn't stop himself from puking. "M-my lord, I'm sorry! I didn't mea-" He was interrupted by silence. A quick cut to his neck, and his head rolled.

"Why do all of these townspeople always see the same thing? It's always one or another." Kuoka started writing writing a letter, using ink, and a feather pen. "Send this to his wife."

"Yes, My lord." A butler wearing a tight two piece suit, appeared behind Kuoka. He took the note, then proceeded to swiftly leave the room.

He walked with the letter in hand, until he reached a small house, in one of the walls corners. "This is a letter, ma'am. I hope you have a good day." The butler bowed, and left for the castle.

"A letter by who?" She opened the letter, she started reading aloud. "I deeply apologize. But your husband has died in the war. He died an honorable death, one that our people will surely be proud to tell tales, and sing songs about."

She started breaking down into tears as she read. Her face became dark, and she continued crying on the floor. "Frederick... Frederick, why did you have to break this promise..." Her emotions overflowed, she couldn't hold back.
