Enthusiastic discussion

Calliope nodded with a smile. "You are right. But I had these books as audiobooks. I have listened to them so many times that I even remember the lines." She paused for a moment as she saw how the crestfallen lady looked as if she was sent to euphoria. "But for some reason, I didn't read them which might be the reason I didn't notice the techniques you are saying. Then again, I'm not good at English. I just know enough to understand what the author has been writing. I was listening and imagining all the scenes like a 3D movie was playing in my head.  The raw drawing you saw now, I drew these to clear my mind."

She said in the end with a dreamy sigh," I'm eagerly waiting for the last book of the series. Something tells me, I'm going to cry a lot. I love Villain by the way."

"You are not allowed to love Villain, "Persephone quickly said. When she saw the look of confusion on Cali's face, she added, "What I mean is I have booked the Villain for myself. I'm his crazy fan."

Calliope laughed at her reaction. "Fine. Fine. You can have the Villain. I will just choose Dove for myself. He is my favourite character of the series."

"Is he?" Persephone grinned at her reaction. She had read so many reviews but none said they liked Dove. The lady sure had some unusual tastes. "People don't usually like his character at first glance. He is a bit less violent than the rest of the guys in the pack."

"Maybe. But I like him the most. All I can say is I'm suffering from the second male lead syndrome," Calliope said with a dreamy smile. " I wouldn't mind if Red had chosen Dove over Villain. Such a nice guy he was."

"Ah, but there was no Loveline between dove and Red," Persephone couldn't help but say. Was she missing something?

Calliope laughed. "I know. I'm just saying if she had. You know what, it would be chaos if she had. Red and Villain belong together."

Persephone let Calliope talk about the character named 'Dove' with enthusiasm and didn't bother to tell this beautiful neighbour of hers that she was the author of the series they both had been gushing about and the character 'Dove' was based on no one else but Callum Facci. It wasn't like Cali knew anything about her brother, right?

Such a small world we live in.

"I'm organising a party on Sunday. You are invited," Persephone said after she had early lunch with Calliope.

"Persephone, I would have to disappoint you but currently my wardrobe needs some clothes except the two pairs I found in the supermarket," Calliope said with a chuckle.

Persephone looked horrified by Calliope's words. "Keeping a wardrobe empty is a sin, Cali. How could you?"

"Well, I have no idea where to start shopping for the things I need. I have never gone shopping alone. Even the idea of shopping horrified me," Calliope said with a sigh.

Persephone had a look of understanding on her face. She patted on her shoulder and said, "You know Cali, I might seem too excited and friendly but that's just the case. I am like this just with the people I vibe with. And it seems you and I are going to vibe too well. As for your wardrobe crisis, I have got you. I, Persephone Vitello, am a certified shopping queen. Get ready by ten in the morning."

"Why would you help me? I mean we just met an hour ago, "Calliope couldn't help but say.

"Tell me you can babysit?" Persephone asked hopefully.

"Well, I can," Calliope said truthfully. She had raised Amadeo for eight years. Of course, she knows babysitting.

"Perfect," Persephone grinned. "You see, my best friend and my husband's best friend are on vacation. You can help me if I ever have a mommy crisis."

"You have a kid?" Calliope asked with wide eyes. She looked at Persephone from head to toe and shook her head in disbelief. "I swear. I can't believe it. You look so young and pretty and not to forget fit."

"Would it be shallow of me if I say I like you more now?" Persephone said, clutching her heart.

"I wonder how your husband handles your cuteness," Calliope said out loud. Just as the words escaped her mouth, she heard someone impatiently pressing the doorbell. "Wait a moment." She ran to see who was ringing the doorbell and as she opened the door, she was startled to find an intimidating man in a suit standing in the doorway, a line of bodyguards behind him.

His icy blue eyes pierced through her and all she could say was that he didn't look friendly at all. His aura was too stifling and she felt as if she couldn't breathe at all. His extraordinary handsomeness couldn't suppress the brutality he was trying to disguise.

The ferocious look in his his icy blue eyes was screaming danger.
