The Morning After (11)

Hearing the voices become quieter, Abigail realised that the staff had moved away.  The time that she had spent here at her grandfather's told her that the staff did not trust Sara.  That was no surprise given how Sara treated her, believing she was so superior to everyone else around her.  However, as she turned on the shower, Abigail smiled, as taking her down next week in the City-Wide Examinations would be a pleasure.

Ever since she had come here, provoking Sara with her true academic skills was not something she wanted to do.  It would only draw too much attention to herself and with the attitude of her so-called parents if she outshone their darling princess, they would make things even more difficult for her under their roof that it already was.  The idea of dealing with her and Sara's reaction as she positioned herself under the shower started to wash away the thoughts that were confusing her about Daniel.
