The shocked crowd speechlessly gaped at Ananya.

The Princes were all in a confused state. There were no restrictions about Enchantment. She restrained from it herself.

Prince Jin was about to make a statement when Acharya stood up from her seat.

"The Princes are to do their best regardless of the new rules,"

Acharya announced.

To this, all the Princes bowed and paid respects to their teacher.

The Gong rang off.

The Battle had begun.

A circular field had been marked on the floor. The first one to be thrown out of the ring loses.

The Eldest,

Prince Jin of Janari,

stepped into the ring.

He was tall and had exceptionally wide shoulders. His dark eyes were filled with mischief. His face on the contrary portrayed calm. He was a dash more handsome than the other Princes.

They bowed to each other respectfully and stance themselves for combat.

Ananya immediately cast a

Powerful Earth shield

"Infernuko",

Also know as the Hell's shield, preparing for the worst to come.

She did not know the individual Magic of the Princes.

A

s far as she heard, the strongest of them has a Mystic Blue Magic.

For now, Ananya faces

Prince Jin of Janari.

Known for his strong Earth Magic, Ananya feared her shield would fall weak under his unique charms.

Sure enough, she sensed a trigger blow off, as Jin tried to loophole through her shield. A loophole would give him enough time to wound her and throw her out of the ring.

Thus, Ananya didn't have much choice.

She immediately cast a

Poison Spine cage around herself.

Jin was shocked.

He retreated and started lisping protective charms on himself.

A Poison Spine Cage

was a near-lethal Earth Magic Shield.

Not only did it harm the person who tried to attack, but also the person who cast the shield in the first place.

Ananya had Sworn not to use Lethal Charms, but Jin was strong. Even his ordinary Red Magic was strong enough to Crack her Earth Shield.

His Earth Magic was too strong for Ananya. She didn't have much choice but to harm herself and keep him out of the way. Even if he attacks, the poison won't kill him.

With two shields around her, Ananya started progressing up to The Prince.

Jin kept stepping back, still haven't have found a way to break the double-shield.

Almost at the boundary lines of the Ring, Jin cast a surprise spell.

It broke the outermost Earth-Shield and almost immediately, shot him with the Poison Spine twigs and threw him out of the ring.

"Why would you do that!"

Ananya yelled and immediately removed all her shields.

She rushed up to Jin and cast an Ancient-Earth Healing Charm on him.

With his Poison wounds covered, she cast a Healing Mist to wake him up from his Poison Sleep.

The crowd suddenly broke into a cheer, taking Ananya by surprise.

"She saved the Prince!"

"She is strong and kind!"

"She won the round!"

Amidst all the cheers, she heard Jin groan and regain consciousness.

"Why?"

Ananya asked, still bewildered by his sudden attack.

"Had to save my face!"

He joked and stood back up on his feet.

He noticed Ananya's open wounds in her hand but didn't say a word.

"At the cost of your life?"

She asked, helping him up.

"Why else are we here?"

He smiled and bowed in respect.

Ananya bowed back and watched him return to his seat by the battle ring.

She cast a Healing charm on her wounds, walked back up to the centre of the ring and waited for the next contestant.

...

"How was she?"

Prince Suga asked Prince Jin.

Jin had just returned to his seat while Ananya was given some time to heal, though her Healing Mist seemed to have completed the work already.

She stood in the centre of a typical Healing Circle to return to

her complete health.

"She is strong."

Jin said, taking his seat.

"How strong?"

Prince Namjoon asked.

"You saw what she cast."

Prince Jin said acting irritable.

"A Poison Spine Cage? That's it?"

Prince Hope asked.

"That cage isn't easy to conjure in Maya. It requires a lot of energy."

Prince Jin explained, feeling guilty.

"To top that off , that wasn't even Lethal!"

"What were you trying to do?"

Namjoon asked.

"Break the Hell's Shield?"

Jin shrugged.

" I had to use Lethal Hell's Mist to break it completely.  She might have thought I was trying to make a loophole."

"What do you think she would have used if it aint for the restrictions?"

Prince V asked.

"I would have died by now!"

Jin joked.

The air was filled with a merry laugh as the Princes discussed.

...

Prince Suga of Iz

stepped up to the ring.

He was several inches shorter than Jin and was paler than the moon!

He was particularly too skinny for a man. His jet black hair covered his forehead and his face had a cold tone with fatal calmness.

People of Iz are known for their

Dark Magic.

Though they restrict themselves from using the Darker Side of this Magic, many of the Strongest Criminals are from such backgrounds.

Their Red-black Mist is as powerful as that of a Blue Mist.

Ananya was practically terrified of what was to come.

They bowed to each other, and Ananya cast her regular Purple Magic Shield.

It may sound weak, but it's impenetrable for Acharya herself.

The Shield had no Tailsman.

(A Tailsman is a written charm to strengthen or weaken any Magic.)

Suga waited for her to cast any more charms on the shield. He was disheartened by the fact that she was underestimating him with a basic shield. After a while, he started conjuring a sword.

"Memoria vim extermina."

(A charm specially used to completely erase one's memory.)

To this, the sword slammed onto Ananya's shield. It attacked thrice before being reduced to dust by a repulsive shield wave.

A repulsive wave from a shield is strong enough to badly injure the attacker.

Suga had conjured another sword to repel the wave.

The sword shattered into pieces while he was thrown back.

Still within the boundaries of the ring,

He got up and steadied himself.

All of a sudden, he cast a

Lethal Red Mist around

Ananya's shield.

The Dead Man's Charm.

This mist is no ordinary mist.

The substantial dead bodies of fallen soldiers are used in this.

These risen-dead follow the orders of their conjurer.

Terrified by such Dark Magic, Ananya decided to use a powerful

Blood Tailsman on her shield.

(A tailsman written with blood.)

She bit my finger and started writing,



"Kill the dead

Leave the bones

Wound the said

Blind the souls."

A shock wave immediately burst out from the shield.

The Dead Man's Mist cleared,

leaving fresh bones on the ground.

The wave hit Suga hard and left him wounded as he fell out of the Ring.

The cheers poured in again.

Ananya removed the shield and rushed up to him.

"You okay?"

He gave a slow nod.

Acharya came up to them and examined his wounds.

"A blood tailsman?"

Acharya asked.

Ananya nodded.

"Give him a drop of your blood."

Acharya said, getting back up on her feet, "I fear you tried to silence his soul."

Ananya sighed and bit her finger again.

She dropped the blood into his mouth and whispered,

"Return."
