chapter 5

Rose's POV

I haven't even started with her yet and she's already pissed off. I can't hold the laughter back any longer. But, I wouldn't make it obvious either. I covered my mouth, laughing behind the door. This may be childish but, it's my way of getting back at people. Not all people though. I can't imagine the fact that she knew me this whole time and was totally able to avoid and ignore me. She been my junior back in school was the most shocking history in my life lately. I guess she's just trying to play safe so that I don't work her out. Forget about that. I mean, if we were back in school, I would've given her the punishment of her life by now for such,..... attitude?. "Errrr... Nevermind!!! I just thought you might need a hand with your towel!" I shouted. She opened the door, making me jump but, I didn't keep my eyes off. She's much taller than me or Jane or even Ally. Water droplets are dripping from her hair, down her wet body. She's wearing a bath robe. Seeing her this close kind of reminds me of her. She'd always never like to get dry immediately after a bath. I almost forgot I was blocking her way from entering the room. She raised her brows. "What?" I asked, completely zoned out of it. "the door?" She said, in a questioning manner. "Oh. Yeah. I was erm....." I stepped aside and she passed by before I could finish my statement. Hm. So that's what it's going to be. She must hate me that much for not being there for her. I mean, she needs to understand that every final year student has their own burdens to carry. I'm just never around. A faint smile pulled on my face as I looked at her plug in her hair dryer to dry her hair as she sits across the study table on her side, with her towel wrapped around her neck. She must've noticed I've been looking. She turned around, frowning. She slightly tilts her head, with a questionable look, I cannot tell which it is. I forced a pretty good smile and said a "hi?". She turned around, turning her neck in a weird way. I walked to sit on my bed. I think it's question and answer time. "Ermm....Ally and Jane both said you were our junior....? My ....?" I asked. She sighed and replied, "yeah". " 'kay..... So..... You knew me?" This whole time??? I continued my question in my head. "Not from the beginning" she replied. " 'kay...." The silence was deafening. "You must hate me very much then. Enough to avoid me." All the time! I yelled in my head. She didn't answer that. Good. It's a yes then. "You know,...I was quite busy then..." Still no reply. "You must hate me that much.... Enough to not reply me...." I said and she sighed after a few seconds. "It was no big deal." She turned around, giving me a warm smile, probably warmer than Jane's. That kind of looks scary. "Can I ask a question then??? And receive a reply? Proba...bly...?" I asked, breaking the words. She sighed again. "Do you like doing that? I mean,.....sighing...over and over again???" She turned to look at me like, 'IS THAT YOUR QUESTION!!!!!'. I smiled silly. "I mean, I wanted to ask about that mark on your wrist. Well, that is if you don't mind. I just get this feeling that I've seen it somewhere before. Who knows??? You might be an acquaintance" I said, laughing at my sense of humor. I mean, it looks visible everytime in the dark. Whenever I looked at her sleeping body, my eyes just always wandered off to that place. She didn't reply. Instead, I think she looked at it and turned away instantly again. She unplugged the hair dryer, putting it on the table. Did I just hit a weak point??? "Errrr,.....sorry. I didn't mean to..." She turned around, looking relaxed. Her switch of moods is kind of scary to me. I can't tell what she's thinking. "Why?" She asked, feigning a smile. "Huhn?" I questioned myself perhaps. "Errr...." "I fell" and there, she turned around cutting my words short. It's not like I had anything to say anyway. I guess the interrogation section is over. Her hair doesn't look completely dry. At least not enough to sleep yet... I'm clearly older than her but, she seems to have an adult living inside of her. She just knows how to shut one up. This reminds me of a memory I never knew I had. It happened so fast...

Blood...., laughs..... cries..."look, she hurt her...." "I told you they're not real sisters!!!!" "What happened to you?"...."I fell....." I fell..." I fell"..."Liar!!!!!!", "Baby...." "Liar!!!!! She's...liar!!!!!!". Memory flashes in bits and pieces came to view. What are these memories?

Her words echoed in my ears again, "I fell". Tears well up in my eyes as I found the words come out, "Liar". I almost forgot my reality. She turned around and asked, "what?". Everything happened so fast, I'm not even sure which part of my memory had that all this while. But, one thing's for sure. I'm the one shouting in those memories. If there's one thing i know about myself, it would be that my memories from a certain time from when i was you is fuzzy. Something that might've triggered my memory loss perhaps. Memory loss is nothing new to me ever since I was growing up. I guess that's how I moved on in life.
