Chapter 26 | Unlikely Allies

In the tumultuous time of World War 2 marked by heroes and villains. Lex Luthor found himself tinkering away in his lab. His fascination with advanced technology and power set him apart.

Across the Atlantic, Agent Peggy Carter is with Howard Stark. They are grappling with the War's adverse effects. Their aim is to create a weapon that could potentially turn the tide of the war in favor of the Allies.

One day, Howard stumbled upon an obscure research paper published by LexCorp. Intrigued, he reached out to Lex and called him on his highly-advanced phone. They were talking about their plan to get him into the SSR.

The first step of their plan, Howard falsely reaches out to Lex, proposing an collaboration. Lex, ever the opportunist, saw an opportunity to expand his influence readily agreed.

Peggy despite her reservations about trusting a businessman like Lex Luthor, conceded knowing they needed all the help they could get.

They meet in a secluded LexCorp lab, the air thick with the potential of what their combined genius could achieved. "I'm glad to have finally meet you, Agent Carter. I truly am amazed by your passion and determination to the War, despite gender."

Muttered Lex with a kind smile on his face. He then put his hands behind his back and walk towards their lab with Peggy and Howard in tow.

Few days has passed, they found that their skills complemented each other. Howard's inventive mind, Peggy's strategic thinking, and Lex's unparalleled technological prowess created a powerful trio.

However, tension brewed beneath the surface. Peggy didn't trust Lex and his motives, but she found a strange ally in him. A shared moment of vulnerability revealed a surprising aspect to Lex desire for world free of war, not dissimilar to her own.

Lex on the hand, found respecting Carter's integrity and commitment to her cause, even if he didn't fully understand it. Howard would often act normally in front of the two, he slowly recovering from that little incident with Lex a few weeks ago.

That's why, they would often clashed due to their contrasting styles, but a begrudging respect developed between them as they recognized each other's genius.

Lex seeing his weapon near completion, starts to say something in his mind they would further resolve his belief towards Power and Technology. "Power is not a gift, but a birthright to be claimed. In a world of Heroes, the greatest power lies in the hands of the brilliant. I will forge a legacy that surpasses even the Gods themselves."

Spoke Lex in his head. Peggy comes inside the door and spoke. "The SSR is happy that your working with us to create this Super Weapon, they said when the War is over you can ask them any favor, they have asked me, what do you want?"

Lex looks over Peggy with a smile on his and mutters. "What I want goes beyond the World. Says Lex mysteriously. Carter looks confused but Lex continues. "I want to expand LexCorp's capabilities, that means I want to be at the World Meeting with the Countries when the War is over."

Peggy was shocked, she thought he would asked for something else, but this favor right here is also huge, but it shouldn't take her long, after all the help Lex has done for them.

"Anything else?" Said Peggy. Lex looks her in the eyes and said. "No, that would be all!"

Having her answer, Peggy nods and walks out of the room going to tell them what Lex's answer was.

Meanwhile in one of the secret compartments of his laboratory, their is a secret envelope that reads 'Operation Prometheus' this is an operation that even Peggy or Howard knows about. These weapons have the Power to make Lex the most powerful man on the planet.

On the other side of the World, their is a very powerful and ancient Organization that's named Hydra. It's origins dates back all the way towards B.C. and A.D. At the helm of it all is, Red Skull, a power-hungry, controlling tyrant.

Inside his office, Red Skull is there reading some reports. A scientist walks into the room and said. "Johann, the Fuher is asking you to speed up your production. They are losing the war because of the Allies Super Soldier."

Hearing the Super Soldier, a sneer comes on his face as he viciously speaks. "We don't need the Fuher's help anymore, he became useless so long ago. Don't worry about that Super Soldier, I will always be the perfect Super Soldier."

While they were talking, a man walks inside his office and says. "Mr. Johann their is a container waiting outside, it's a note inside with your name on it. The soldier gives him the note, after skimming through it, he walks out towards the container to look at what it is inside.

A big, huge brown container was sitting there, tons of Soldiers in Advanced suits with guns that are hundreds of years in the century were surrounding it like it was some kind of prey.

"Open it!"

A soldier opens the container, once he looks inside, he picks up the item and what they saw inside confused them.

Johann seeing the looks, walks towards it and was spooked. He picks up the weapon. The weapons is pure black with an Hydra sigil inscribed upon them.

Red Skulls picks up the weapon and aims it on a tree far away. He pulls the trigger with a childish and violent look in his eyes.

"Boom!"

A pure blue, beam of energy obliterated the tree leaving nothing of it behind.
