I was correct. Finding the hunter exam wasn't too bad, it just took a while and was kind of annoying.

Walking into the elevator I wait for it to go down while planning for the tests.

Little Jelly Creature "Hello my name is Beans! I have a badge to prove you are a contestant. Please wear it on your chest. Thank you and good luck."

Dean "Thank you very much!" 'I got badge 69 huh. That's cool. Considering how many people are usually in the exams I probably have a while before it starts so let's go wait in the corner.'

Big Nose "Hey kid! Since I haven't seen you here before I assume it's your first time here?"

Dean "That's right! Who are you sir?"

Big Nose "My name is Tompa! This will be my 35th try of the hunter exams this year. Let's get along! Here a toast!"

Dean "Thanks Big Nose but I think I'll be fine!"

'Judging by [Precognition] it seems that my body gets messed up by this drink so let's not drink it.'

Big Nose "My name is Tompa! Stupid kid."

Dean 'Let's look at the contestants. Oh, Clown has Nen so I should look out for him. Oh! A kid my age just walked in! Let's go see if we can be friends!'

Dean "Hey white haired kid! Wanna be friends!"

White Hair "Hm? Who are you?"

Dean "I'm Dean Ockham! What's your name?"

White Hair "I'm Killua."

Dean "Do you want to be friends?"

Killua "Sure I have nothing else to do."

Dean "Hey are you planning on using your skateboard?"

Killua "Yeah is it not allowed?"

Dean "No but it's so cool! You have to let me try it!"

Killua "Sure. Why don't we go sit over there?"

Dean "Sure!"

*Timeskip*

Dean "It's been a few hours, do you think it'll start soon?"

Other than Clown there was also one more person with Nen who came in and since he had needles all over him, I dubbed him Pincushion. Oh yeah, judging by the needles in him and their placement he should look different, but I don't know what he looks like without them.

Killua "I hope so. Hey there's another kid our age over there wanna say hello?"

Dean "I think it's about to start so we should listen to the rules first but yeah!"

Satotz "My name is Satotz and I am the examiner for the first phase of this year's hunter exam. If any of you wish to back out, please head out the door behind you. None of you? Good. Then let's begin the first test. All you have to do is keep up with me. Good luck to all of you."

Dean "That's not too bad. Well, let's get a move on."

Killua "Sure. How long do you think this test will last?"

Dean "No idea but it should give us enough time to become friends with Green Hair!"

Old Teenager Man "Hey kid! You're cheating!"

Killua "Hm? How am I cheating?"

Old Teenager Man "This is an endurance test you can't use a skateboard!"

Green Hair "No it's not."

Old Teenager Man "Gon! Whose side are you on!"

Green "All Mr. Satotz said is to follow him. He never said it was an endurance test!"

Killua "Hm… How old are you?"

Gon "I'm 12 years old!"

Dean "That's the same age as us! My name is Dean Ockham, and he is Killua. It's nice to meet you Gon!"

Gon "It's nice to meet you too!"

Killua "Maybe I want to walk after all."

Man, that was a cool trick. I have to get him to teach me that!

Gon "That was so cool! You have to let me try that!"

Dean "Me too! That was awesome!"

Gon "How long do you think this test will go for?"

Dean "Hm? Probably a few hours at least I would assume."

Old Teenager Man "A few hours! How am I going to pass this then!"

Dean "Hey what's your guy's name?"

Old Teenager Man "I'm Leorio Paradinight and he's Kurapika."

Dean "It's nice to meet you! I hope you both pass!"

Leorio "Thanks! I hope you pass too!"

Killua "We have a few hours of running so try to pace yourselves!"

Dean "Sure mom I got it!"

Killua "I'm not your mom!"
