Chapter 40

Thyme narrowed their blue eyes, looking around them.

'What's wrong?' asked Raymond, enjoying the breakfast the servants had just served.

'Is it just my feelings, or is it feels cramped in here, huh? Everywhere is full of couples. You're with Edward and Hazel. Verdict with Amanda,' Thyme took a deep breath, looking even more sluggish. Their small hand played the spoon that was used to eat warms soup in front of him. 'Should I just invite Priska? So, I won't be alone in this room.'

Raymond followed where Thyme had looked earlier, then nodded understandingly. It was true. He sat between Hazel and Edward, who were busy offering him various kinds of food, and he accepted them happily. Meanwhile, on the other side, Verdict asked Amanda to feed her breakfast which Amanda complied with her flushed face. Thyme themself sat in the end chair, alone.

'Don't think about it. It's not a big deal,' he said again after he had eaten the food. 'Verdict, how about the task I gave you?'
