Two hours earlier
Mohamed, Ibrahima, and their men had just landed in Cap-Skiring after a long journey, but none of them was tired, all determined to fight Khadim and his men, whom they saw not as their fellow men but as monsters that came from the depths of the underworld. Before leaving the airport then, they divided into four groups and each one took a different route. The first group was to arrive in Dakar by sea to prevent any attempt to escape via the sea that may be attempted by Khadim and his men and therefore took the boat that was waiting for them there, already prepared by Aziz's men, one of whom was on board in advance. The second group went to Dakar via the Gambia to attack from the South led by Mohamed, and the third group went to Dakar via the South-East to attack from the East. However, there was a fourth group led by Ibrahima, who had not landed in Senegal but in Mauritania to attack Khadim's domain from the North.
To sum up, Khadim was to be attacked from all sides, leaving him and his men no chance to escape or to play any nasty trick on them. However, as he and his men arrived at the gates of Dakar and were waiting to receive Aziz's signal to attack, Mohamed felt himself being stabbed in the abdomen. At the time, he thought he had been attacked, but when he noticed that he had not been hit, he realized then that it was his soul mate who had been stabbed. Only, the fact that he felt more clearly, unlike all the other times, what was happening to him left him perplexed. How could it be? Before he could find the answer to his question, he felt a second stab, this time in his right shoulder, which forced him to his knees in pain. At this point they received the green light from Aziz and his men to enter, the gates having been opened for them from within. As he tried to get up from a third stab wound, this time to his left shoulder after he had ordered his men to attack, he felt his wolf stir as a peculiar smell reached his nostrils. It was a peculiar smell of lavender mixed with rose.
Before he had time to ask himself why this scent overrode all others to reach him, his increasingly agitated wolf gave him the answer.
_ It's her. That's our Luna, this one said.
_ But how can you know that? Asked Mohamed.
_ We don't care about that. Just let me take control and go find her. She's in danger, that's for sure.
_ Do as you want.
Without further ado, he let his wolf take control and rushed inside, passing through the bloodshed of the carnage that was taking place, his men and Ibrahima having been ordered not to spare any of Khadim's men, except himself and his betas. Aras (Moha's wolf) did not hold back from the carnage that was taking place, even more, enraged after he knew of his soul mate's presence there, tearing off enemy heads as he went until he arrived at the cells in which the humans were supposed to be. These were so small, so narrow that it was easy to understand why almost all of those in the photos and videos sent by Aziz appeared to be anorexic or very unwell. The cells in which they spent much of their captivity undeniably prevented them from growing properly. With his rage growing, Aras found it difficult to come to terms with the fact that he had not found his soul mate, so much so that he started losing control and made it impossible for Mohamed to stay still. So, he forced him to give up control to make them regain their human form.
_ Calm down Aras! Just calm down! You have to get a hold of yourself! He advised him.
_ It's just that our soul mate is not here and it makes me so angry to know that but also to know that she is surely hurt and helpless, Aras justified.
_ I know and that is why I took control. So, calm down and leave it to me, we'll find her. You have my word, Mohamed promised.
_ You'd better.
_ I know.
_ Aziz, may I know where all the captives are? He asked this one through the pack link.
_ To confuse Khadim's men and him, we opened the doors of their cells so that they could get out, but don't worry, they're being held in the big courtyard so that they don't leave the estate, he answered.
_ Fortunately.
_ But can I know why did you did ask that question, Alpha?
_ My soul mate is here.
_ No way!
_ Yes, it is.
_ I hope you find her.
_ So do I.
He cut the line to go to the courtyard, but as he turned back, he noticed traces of blood on the ground, those of his soul mate. He followed them to the large courtyard where he hoped they would stop. Only, to his great regret, this was not the case. His Luna had thus managed to leave the estate, the traces of blood as proof.
_ Amadou, Mahmoud (his betas), take care of the captives with Alpha Ibrahima when you will finish dealing with these monsters, he ordered them through the bond of the pack.
_ And remember, I want that monster Khadim alive. I'll take care of him by myself, he added.
_ But what about you? What will you do in the meantime, if it's not too intrusive? Amadou asked.
_ My Luna was among the captives and I don't know how but she managed to escape and leave the estate. So, I am going to look for her, guided by the traces of blood she unwittingly left behind.
_ Traces of blood? She must be hurt!
_ Badly hurt if I refer to the quantity of blood she lost.
_ Goddess!
_ Just go and bring her back to us. We'll take care of everything.
_ I'll see you later, then.
_ Alright.
