Chapter thirteen

At these words, Ndeye panicked slightly but Ma'Fatou was able to calm her down with words she whispered in her ear, making Mohamed feel that he was not up to the hard task that awaited him with his Luna. He didn't have time to think about it too much, however, because Ma'Fatou asked him to go out and leave them alone so that Ndeye could change, which he did, sulking like a child, offended, making Ma'Fatou laugh. As soon as he was outside, Ndeye rushed to ask her the question that was burning in her mind.

_ Erm... Where is my new home, Miss? she asked.

_ First of all, call me Ma'Fatou. Then, don't worry. This is not a scary place at all. Your new home will be that of your soul mate, the Supreme Alpha, Ma'Fatou replied.

_ I... I... I don't want to live with him. He's a monster. I want to live with you.

_ The Supreme Alpha may be impatient with his wolf, intimidating, but he is by no means a monster. Besides, I live with my soul mate, whose presence I will be surprised to see you endure.

_ But... I... I don't want to be alone with him... He... He can hurt me... I'm scared!

_ You won't be alone with him. There will be his mother, his father, and his twin sister in the house. And I'm sure you'll get along with the girls, especially that crazy Fa'Bintou. Besides, I won't be far away.

_ I... They...

_ Do you trust me?

_ I... uh...

_ Do you or do you not trust me, Luna?

_ Yes, but tell me, .... am I the Supreme Luna? There's no way he's mistaken?

_ No, and you know it in your heart. All right, enough of this chitchat! You take that bag and go take a nice bath before you put it on. I'll wait for you behind the door.

Ma'Fatou went out and left her alone, to her great relief and happiness. She immediately went to take her bath, apprehensive about meeting Mohamed's family and having to live with them. It was then with surprise that she realized that she had not a single trace of injury or a fracture or anything. She seemed never to have been abused or anything else.

How could this be?

She did nothing, however, and was content to save her question for Ma'Fatou, which she did as soon as she had finished her bath and got ready to see her. Unfortunately, Ma'Fatou did not answer her question and asked her to go and ask Mohamed, arguing that he would be better able to answer her question. Ndeye said nothing more and simply followed her to Mohamed's house, embarrassed by the curtseys she received from the women and children, the only ones she met on her way. As soon as she passed the door of the house, the tornado that Ma'Fatou called Fa'Bintou fell on her. She couldn't help but come and hug her, making her feel immediately at ease with her who reminded her of Coumba. Mohamed's mother, Bassiratou or Bass, was more reserved and waited until her daughter had finished hugging Ndeye and telling her how happy she was to see her before coming to hug her like a mother, making her tears flow as she welcomed her. Mohamed's father, Abdou Wahab (Abdou for short), who seemed to have been made aware of her aversion to men, stood aside and without trying to approach her, also welcomed her. When her mission to take her home was completed, Ma'Fatou left her alone with them and went away, although she was surprised not to see Mohamed around. The latter, who had gone to the gym to let off steam, soon turned up at his house. Unable to resist either the need or the desire to see her, he went to her room which he had, thanks to his flair, spotted without having taken the trouble to take a bath and change, let alone take care of his appearance. Only when she saw him sweating, the first buttons of his shirt open, his hair a mess with veins popping out in anger, Ndeye couldn't help but be scared and not want him to come near her. She called him every bad name she knew, chasing him with blows that did almost nothing to him, and he didn't deign to defend himself, fearing that he would come on too strong and hurt her.

Frustrated, even angrier, lost, Mohamed went to the dungeons where Khadim was already badly beaten, and calmly sat down in front of him, while inside he was boiling so much that he could have been compared to Vesuvius erupting. Using the bucket of cold water beside him, he woke him up so suddenly by pouring it over him that he fell backward, dragging the chair he was tied to with him. Mohamed came to pick him up and bring him back to his initial position, still calm, before punching him in the face, precisely at his nose, which began to bleed.

_ So Alpha Khadim, how does it feel to stay forty-eight hours in the shade? he asked.

_ Do you think you can scare me, you son of a b*tch? Khadim replied.

_ I won't allow you to insult my mother, you monster! (Punching him in the stomach).

_ I give myself all the permission I want. Besides, I'm not going to be lectured by a kid who's still in his mother's arms. If you want to prove your strength and superiority, untie me. Let's fight man to man.

_ Even if I were a kid still in his mother's pants, whom I'm not, I'm still better than you, a monster, who doesn't even deserve to keep breathing.

_ Ah! Yeah! Come on! (Laughs) Let's get this over with if I don't deserve to live.

_ You know, I'm not gonna respond to your attempt at provocation and you know why? Because I'm not a monster like you and I'm not a fool. Besides, I have to go take care of my Luna.

_ Your Luna? The one I had fun making out with? That's a good one! And you should have heard her come under my assaults!

_ What are you trying to do? To make me angry or to make me mad that someone else might have touched my Luna?

_ I'm just trying to make you realize that your Luna, the supreme Luna, is nothing but a girl of joy.

_ Say she had the misfortune to be one of your many victims, but that doesn't change what she is and will remain until her death, the supreme Luna, a fighter.

_ You've already been bitten I see, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's because she's already spread her legs.

_ For your information, it wasn't her legs that she spread for me, but my heart that she opened up to get inside. But poor you, you'll never taste that beautiful experience.

_ And I don't want it anyway.

_ Now I am going, Khadim. Our discussion has allowed me to find the best way to punish you.

Without giving him time to reply, Mohamed left his cell to go and find Aziz, in front of whom he let all the rage that Khadim had inspired in him explode.

_ This man is a narcissistic pervert, a monster with no brain or heart. I still can't believe I held back from doing him the right way! He exclaimed.

_ You did it because he's not worth getting your hands dirty, replied Aziz.

_ Plus, he insulted my mother and my soul mate! What a bastard!

_ Calm down, Mohamed! He doesn't even deserve your anger.

_ Maybe not! But at least talking to him gave me an idea of how best to punish him. I want you to treat him as he treated his captives in every way. I want to see him suffer like every one of those humans suffered and know how long he'll last.
