Chapter thirty

A few days later...

Everything was almost ready by now and together they were discussing the rallying points and meeting points with the other detachments that had decided to join them in battle before the final departure when Ma'Khady's phone started ringing for the umpteenth time that day. She had ignored it until then to avoid being disturbed by unnecessary reasons, but faced with what seemed to be an insistence from the same correspondent, Ndeye signaled her to answer. She moved away and did so ready to tell the person in question to avoid disturbing her and call her back later but to her surprise, it was none other than Mountakha.

But why?

And with such insistence?

She then picked up the phone.

Telephone conversation:

Ma'Khady: Mountakha!

Mountakha: Finally, you pick up the phone!

Ma'Khady: What's going on? Why do you look so stressed?

Mountakha: Are the others with you? Now?

Ma'Khady: Yes, what's going on there?
