After hearing my words, Dova paused. His aloof stare changed dramatically. He suddenly looked at me in the eyes like a wounded child. Did I just say something wrong?
"You're right." Dova finally smiled slightly. Like a forced smile in the midst of sadness. This time I was sure that I, somehow, just yanked him.
I returned to observe the last lines of a letter held by him. My curiosity overrode my neglect.
[I knew this letter would blow your mind].
[But at least, I'm relieved to share some of my feelings with you. Believe me, this letter is nothing. There's a lot of other letters I wrote to you on my desk, but I didn't give them, because they were not the best part].
[I don't expect you to reply to this letter, or even how I feel. I just prayed that you wouldn't be sad anymore].
[Nora, yellow mission team].
I raised my eyebrows upon learning the name of the love letter. "Nora? You know her?"
Dova squinted, trying to remember something. "No."
"Lies," I said.
