Chapter 34

I decided to hide in that big barn. There was no other choice. At the very least, I could buy some time until Dova and Manda arrived, to avoid any missteps. Anyway, I got myself confused. As a spy, I should be pursuing the target. Now it looked like I was the target of surveillance by someone wearing a hat behind me. It was reversed.

I leaned against the wall of the shed after locking the only door so tight. I even dragged along some bundles of straw to put behind the door, where it would not be easy to open. So far, there was no one in the cellar but me.

A moment later, I could barely hear the sound of someone's footsteps from outside the barn. Very slowly, barely audible. She was not an ordinary person.
