Martial art

"Leo…"

Richard looked at the troubled Leonard. He was good at magic but with other weapons… well he got the basics down but that's it. He was a bit above average but a man who'll succeed in the duchy cannot be average.

"Leo, you need to find a Martial art that will suit you…" Richard said with a bit of worry.

"I'm trying…" Leonard said so exasperatedly.

Leonard has surely used the sword in the first iteration… Well not skillfully since he couldn't even properly wield it since he's a third-rate villain.

"Err…" Leonard lowered the spear.

He was like a Jack of all trades, it's good, but there are no weapons that could act as everything. He could only choose one. In the end, he just sighed.

"Can you just pass down your cultivation to me?" Leonard complained.

"Leo, I made this Martial art of mine… with a lot of blood and sweat along with broken bones."

"Fine…" Leonard sighed. "I'll find one myself."

Leonard said, defeated at his average talents, he did make the Mana Reactor Heart but that is just a cultivation method, not a martial art. There's also the Shadow Arts, but Leonard doesn't want to keep sending people to the shadow realm or show his Trump card, which is the shadow spike.

"Yes, especially when you're going to be enrolled by next year."

"Oh… I forgot I'm 11."

"Yes, I allowed you to do your hobby so please do what I request of you."

"I know, I know." Leonard waves his hand.

"Alright, if something intrigues you then tell me. I'll help you as much as I can."

"Thanks…"

Richard walked away leaving Leonard to his devices.

'I didn't know this dude is fucking average at anything!' Leonard internally screamed.

Leonard did use weapons in the first iteration, however, that is overshadowed by the number of times he used his magic and the things he bought from the system. Right now, Leonard hasn't bought anything from the system.

"Oof… I ain't wasting my precious 5k points…"

Leonard then finishes his training and cleans up after himself before going to his room to take a shower, Lorraine being on his computer.

At this point, Lorraine might become a neet and it would be his fault. After a quick shower, Leonard went up to Lorraine and asked:

"Lori, how're the tutor's classes?"

Lorraine looked at Leonard and gave a bright smile. "Easy. They called me a genius for something like that, even though it's nothing that much…"

I patted her head, her stuttering is completely gone over these months. Which is good, it makes me happy that she healed.

"Brother, I hate the etiquette class…"

"Same, but I finished it."

"... Brother did?"

"Yep, just think that the etiquette is easy and be done with it." Leonard bullshitted. "Just keep your head high and think you can finish etiquette, it would also be good because a grouch wouldn't nag you for having a bad posture."

"Grouch?"

"Your sister."

Lorraine tilted her head, then Lenneza barged in.

"Hey Leo, I have some news."

"What is it that you require barging into my room?"

"A circus troupe is coming into the duchy and they need permission from the Duke to perform here."

"eh… just tell father."

"Well, I would but it's best if you do," Lenneza said, smirking.

"And why would I?" I raised a brow.

"C'mon you need a martial art. You know?"

"What kind of martial arts would I get from a ragtag bunch of performers?" Leonard said in disbelief. "What? Do you want me to spin around in a circle while being lifted 8 to 11 meters in the air in a hula hoop? Or best of yet, juggle Lions? Or act like a mime like there's a wall in front of me."

Lenneza's mouth is agape, completely baffled at Leonard's disrespect of the performers.

"No offense, I'm asking what kind of martial art I would get from them, not that I said that they aren't skilled." Leonard chuckled. "You want me to…" he opened his palms and acted as if he was in front of a wall. Like a mime. Then he chuckled.

Then his eyes widened. He has a fuck ton of mana. Where could he possibly use that? A gun? No that required reloading. A sword? A spear and a shield? No that requires maintenance.

But if Leonard trains to be a mime and everything he mimes becomes a non-existent tangible object? Leonard then jumps up holding his head.

He then rapidly walked up to Lenneza and held her shoulders.

"I apologize, you're right." hugs her briefly then walks out of the room.

Then Lenneza just stood there in a daze.

"Well… That was special… Hey Lori, show me what's up in your World." Lenneza walks up to Lorraine playing Cubecraft.

Leonard barged into Richard's office. Slamming the doors open, this got Richard looking at Leonard with annoyance.

"Leo…"

"Father, I have a clue on what Martial Art I would use."

"Oh really?" Richard got intrigued.

"Yes, but first there is a circus troupe that needs to perform in our territory."

"Really?"

"Yes," Leonard nodded, "Lenneza told me so."

"Get her here."

Leonard took out his phone from his pocket and started ringing Lenneza. When she picked up Leonard spoke in a dire voice.

"Lenneza what the heck did you do?! Get in father's office now!"

Leonard then hung up the phone, Richard just looked quite perturbed by the relationship between the siblings.

"Was that necessary?" Richard Asked

"We fight with the most stupid things now and then," Leonard replied.

A few minutes later, a panting, out-of-breath Lenneza barged into the room.

"What did I do?!" Lenneza cried.

"Nothing much, who was the circus troupe that wanted to perform here?"

—Crack.

A punch from the nose by Lenneza for Leonard.

"They're named the Maestros wonder. They got their show canceled since they're to perform in Termon."

"T-the Maestros?" in the ground, Leonard asked while holding his nose.

"Oh, I remember the Maestros. They were rumored to be the most entertaining troupe ever since I was born." Richard mused.

This got the two interested, Richard then continued his story.

"When I was a kid they were a very successful troupe, I even heard that once the Emperor wanted to visit them."

"Woah the Emperor that time visited the circus troupe?"

"Wanted. Not really visited. A lot of political schemes left and right and you know you can't freely move around." Richard shrugged.

"Oof."

"Anyways, tell the Troupe that they could after I send them the permit."

Lenneza's eyes shone and a crack could be heard.

"Oof wrong decision."

Leonard's nose is now bleeding.

"They allowed it?!" The headmaster screamed in delight.

"Yes, they'll send us a permit." Quint calmly spoke.

"Yes! Yes!" The headmaster exclaimed in joy.

"Apparently, the Duke knows of our troupe."

"Really?" The headmaster felt a bit of pride "How?"

"I don't know, Lucy just said so." Quint shrugged.

"Well, that's fine, as long as our troupe continues!"

"But they got a request tho." Quint sighed.

"Request?" The headmaster tilted his head.

"The duke's son… he wanted to be trained as a mime after our performance… and possibly join the troupe for a year."

After hearing the request, the headmaster suddenly blanked out.
