I've Never Fought Him

Some time later, Sai finally managed to catch a glimpse of Mondstadt. It was absolutely beautiful, but it was in shambles.

"Heeekk! What happened to Mondstadt!?!"

"It was just recently attacked by the dragon Stormterror." Lisa didn't look at the city twice.

"Stormterror? Oh…" Something clicked in his head.

'Dvalin… Venti… Barbatos. Are you telling me that gods actually exist in this world? Things are getting more interesting now…'

"Mondstadt believes in the God of Wind, Barbatos, right? Have you met him before?"

Lisa looked slightly curious as to where he was going with that question, and so she answered truthfully while nodding.

"I have."

'Hmm… as I thought. Now to the next question. I must choose it carefully since it may be the last for a while.'

What Sai didn't realise though, was that such answer would cause a ruckus in any normal person that heard it, including Vision users.

"Could you beat him if you wanted to?"

The reason for such questions was simple: Sai noticed that Lisa was very strong. Strong enough to not put a Lawachurl in her eyes.

Her character in the player's game could not have had such a high level already. That was proven by the state of the city of Mondstadt, which was caused by the subject of the Prologue of the game: Dvalin, or Stormterror. The city would soon be reconstructed, so that's why he knew it was recent.

Besides that, he saw her using a barrier against the hilichurl, which was not one of her skills in the game.

All that could only mean one thing: the characters in reality were not held back by their levels in the game, nor by their in-game skills. In other words: Lisa, as a great witch, was probably stronger than many of the five-stars in the game, despite being a four-star herself.

Sai wanted to find out how strong she actually was, and how she compared to a god.

Unknown to him, Lisa was troubled by that question. What could she answer? I could beat him? She wasn't too sure she could. I can't beat him? That was too shameful and unbearable for a great witch like her.

But more than any of that, that finally proved that the boy behind her was not normal, as expected. She pondered before answering:

"I've never fought him."

Her meaning was straightforward: she would only know after fighting him.

That answer was expected by Sai, who was gleeful after hearing it.

"Huhuhu… so a mortal can achieve strength compared to a god's? Hahahaha how interesting, how amazing…"

Sai felt a plan taking shape in his head, as the best case scenario actually happened.

Meanwhile, Lisa had a slight grin on her face, that she kept hidden from Sai. 'What an interesting boy.'
