"Hmmm! Interesting, even though there are monsters now, none of them are actually trying to attack us. I can feel there is no interest in their heart to attack us." While running in the forest, Gu Tan discussed with his father and Elder Lee.

"Indeed! Although you said monsters normally do not have hatred against us, they still attack us when we invade their privacy. And, this forest is under their rule. So, it wouldn't be a surprise if they choose to attack us. Do you think something major is brewing between these monsters?" Gu Chen nods his head and asks.

Gu Tan shrugged his shoulder and said "Maybe, but we wouldn't know unless they do something. And, it's not like we can understand them without any help. Monster Language is often hard to perceive and human language is the universal language so we don't try to learn other's language."

"Really? But, how?" Lee Che asked with a trace of surprise in his eyes.

Gu Tan nods his head and answers "Humans aren't known for their strength or unique talent. Every other race including Monster Race, Spirit Race, Dragon Race, some other powerful races are have something unique on their bodies."

"But, humans are completely normal and this also grants them a higher chance for reproduction. Dragon Race is powerful but just to hatch an egg, it takes thousands of years and it's not like the female dragon can lay an egg every year. That's why Dragon Race often reproduces with other races."

"Then, there are Monster Race and Spirit Race. These two races are completely opposite to other races. They are like mixers of different tribes or different sub-race. Under Monster Race, there are Lions, Tigers, Elephants, and lots of other animals but because they are mutated with monster energy, they are called Monsters rather than animals."

"Then, even among them, there will be different species like Flaming Lion, Shadow Leopard. These are the species with a unique talent for a certain aspect. Spirit Race have Giants, Elves, Dwarfs, Pixies, and even uniquely represented species known by the same name 'Spirits'."

"According to my Master, Great Sun Kingdom only has Monster Race and Human Race in the majority. But, there are worlds beyond our comprehension and these worlds have these races some of which have been recorded in the books of histories."

"The world is far wider than we can think and all we can see is a horizon. But, there are worlds behind the horizon. The problem with going outside the horizon to find a new horizon is strength. Each horizon holds a group of creatures with certain strength."

"Five Dragon Realms of Body Cultivation are just the beginning and the people of our world live within the first Horizon. The reason I am trying to make a lockdown in our village is pretty simple. We often do not get a chance to grow and become the strongest within the horizon."

"And, if our goal is beyond the horizon, we need to grow. As of now, none of us can fight against Great Families, Royal Families, and even the entire Kingdom. That's why we need to lay a solid foundation. So, even if we lose sometimes, we can still survive."

Hearing his words, Gu Chen and Lee Che seriously nodded their heads and turned silent. Both of them had already seen this conclusion. If they can't grow stronger, there will be no future for the village.

The journey back to the village was quite long. And, they took a rest in the middle.

Next Day,

They continued their journey but they were a little hungry. So, they decided to eat something. Originally, they were trying to hunt monsters but Gu Tan stopped them and find fruits rather than meat. Often while moving, he got the presence of someone spying on him.

While he was doing his best to detect the spy, even Long Hua was unsuccessful in doing so. He fairly had a guess that it was a monster. So, instead of hunting monsters, he decided to settle with fruits.

While eating the fruit, he couldn't help but ponder.

'If the spy is truly a monster, why hasn't he attacked us? It feels like he is inspecting us.'

Although he had questions in his mind, he didn't call out the spy or even think too much about it. He casually finished his meals and finally left towards his village. On the way, an idea struck his mind.

'Wait, I never thought about this but if I can form a balanced relationship with monsters, wouldn't it be a good idea? These forests hold a lot of resources and if I can get my hands on them without making enemies with them, it would be amazing.'

'But then, I need a bargain. Without a proper bargain, there is no way I can manage something like that. Maybe within the upcoming four years, I should give serious thoughts on this matter. And, I can indeed do something to create a positive impact on the monsters.'

'Humans eat monsters and monsters eat humans. This is a food chain and there is nothing I can change. But, what if we eat the monster that we grow. Some of the villagers already raising some chickens and sheep. What if we raise these animals on a larger scale? So large that it can feed the entire village.'

'Then, we wouldn't need to hunt down the monsters in the forest and make enemies with them. Monsters normally do not care about the animals because of their arrogance and isolation. But, this could become a greater opportunity for me.'

'Breeding animals that can grow stronger enough to provide nutrition for the cultivators in the early stage is all I need. In later stages, food is not the source of energy. It's just something we eat for the sake of celebration or just for taste.'

'Especially in Saint World. If I remember correctly, one of the major powerhouses of the Saint World had a Restaurant Business where he sells highly delicious meals to the cultivator earning millions of Saint Stones each month.'

'I can do the same, not for the profit but for the sake of creating a village where you don't need to go out and hunt monsters for the sake of food instead you can do other things to buy food.'

The more he thinks about it, the greater his smile becomes. It goes to the point where he even giggles many times. Although Gu Chen and Lee Che hear him, they choose to ignore his giggles.

During the evening, they finally reach in front of their village or rather the back of the village. In front of them, there was a massive wall standing nearly three meters tall and completely made out of Heavy Bricks. These bricks were not just for the show. They were truly strong.

"I can't believe they finished three meters wall in just a few days." Lee Che opened his mouth wide and mutters.

"It seems everyone is working truly hard." Gu Chen smiles and three of them walk towards the small gate. Gu Tan's eyes slightly move to the left and right walls where he sees two small holes. Seeing this, he couldn't help but smile.

There were no guards outside the gate but as soon as they were about to knock on the door, it opened. Two guards wearing silver plates on their chests opened the door as two people stood behind the gate.

Zhao Xin and Han Yang!

"Welcome back, Village Chief!"

Both of them and the guards bowed down as they welcome Gu Tan. Gu Chen and Lee Che were included but they were kind of extras.

"Nice Job!" Gu Tan praises Zhao Xin with thumbs up as he walks inside. He turns his head around and is slightly got shocked when he sees two pillars that were under construction. These pillars were not too wide but enough to hold two or three people inside.

"Are these watchtowers?" Gu Tan asks with surprise. He felt like he forgot to include the watchtowers in the instruction.

"Yes, from the women who returned back home, we learned there are some things that we can use. If I remember it correctly, even you mentioned it once. But, it just slipped my mind until I see their reports. So, I instructed them to build eight watchtowers around the village." Zhao Xin smiles and replies.

"I feel like I forgot to mention it. But, anyway, you did a great job. We do need watchtowers to scout our enemies. So, how about we go on a small tour inside the village?" Gu Tan asks as he walks next to her.

Zhao Xin bows down and shows him the road as they walk ahead. Han Yang, Gu Chen, and Lee Che speechlessly look at them. Han Yang was ashamed that he didn't even get mentioned once. Gu Chen and Lee Che were speechless because Gu Tan was supposed to go for a rest today.

But no, the village comes first!
