Ian: "I'm home."
???: "Welcome back Ian."
So dad's home. Only if mom was here I would have been happy.
father: "You're worried about your mom again? Don't worry I visited her at the hospital. Your sister is there to assist her."
Ian: "Doesn't big sister specialize in bones?"
father: "She can manage for the time being."
Ian: "Oh yeah dad how did you and mom meet."
father: "What made you ask that?"
Ian: "It's just that there is this girl."
father: "So you're in love?"
Ian: "What? It's not like that."
father: "Ian you know your mother doesn't like lies. Right?"
Mom huh?
Ian: "Fine I like her then."
father: "Where should I start? We went way back. I was 18 and your mom was 17. Back then phones weren't even a thing only radios and T.V.s. I remember life was hard back then but your mom had it worse. She was living in the countryside where electricity was rarely produced. She really had a hard life but I somehow met her in my school. I remember she was as beautiful as the girl you like right now. We were together for 8 years and got married. Your sister was the first one and 5 years later you were born."
Mom had a hard life? She is cheerful these present times but behind that smile was hard work. All she did was work but I didn't realize that she was tired. I even remembered the time I was sick and she was buying medicine for me for 9 months. Her anxiety hit the roof and I was so worried. She really needed time to think before we had a proper conversation. Come to think of it I haven't seen her for 3 days now. I should visit her tomorrow.
-Tomorrow arrived at the hospital-
Okay Ian take your time before going in. Wait, isn't that Naomi? Does she have someone to visit here too?
Naomi: "Hey Ian, do you know where room 127 is?"
Ian: "Um, it's the room to the right here."
Naomi: "Thank You so much."
So she really has someone to visit. Okay I should focus. I'll enter now.
Ian: "Hello Mom."
mother: "Hello Ian. How are you today?"
Ian: "I'm good. How about you? Have you recovered yet?"
mother: "No, not yet the doctor said I should stay for a week or so."
Ian: "You are gonna be okay mom. Right?"
mother: "Don't cry Ian come here sit beside me."
I can't stop crying. Why can't I help her when she is in need. Even if she was tired she would still take care of me.
mother: "Your father said you were in love."
Ian: "What?"
Dad can't really keep secrets.
mother: "What's the name."
Ian: "It's Naomi."
mother: "Naomi? Oh, she must be the girl the one next door keeps on telling about."
Ian: "Room next door?"
So she really was visiting someone. It must be someone dear to her.
mother: "Let's go meet her there."
Ian: "Wait, what? Mom wait I'm not emotionally prepared."
mother: "You don't need to be emotionally prepared for love. Just let your self take over. Let's go."
I guess this is the end.
