The vows

"Get out," Beabianca screamed. Her laser sharp eyes piercing through Avia's skin. Avia jumped in fright, she wasted no time to run away from the room. She was in the wrong and Beabianca's anger was justified as she had gone after a man that wasn't hers.

The feeling was great. Intense and satiable. Avia connected with Joem for the first time in forever; the memory was better than ever; it was wrong of her to feel like that but she couldn't help it. A fire was born from that kiss, a flame of hope that her love which remained incomplete for so long could be fulfilled. The remaining pages could be filled with the story of their reunion and the rekindling of their love.

Her heart picked up a new beat. One that celebrated a possibility of a hopeful future with the man she loved. Avia's smile was incomparable. "Now that I have you back. I won't let you go again," she uttered.

However, she was the only one who felt so. Beabianca was far from happy and Joem was drowning in a pool of regret as he faced Beabianca. What went down was wrong, Avia was wrong and the only thing right in the world was Beabianca.

"No words can express how sorry I a…"

"In my room. Of all the places to insult me you had to go and do it in the one place where I find peace," Beabianca interrupted him. "I have never felt so insulted and belittled in my life, Joem."

Joem stood still unable to form words that could excuse his actions. His behavior was inexcusable. He was wrong and Beabianca had every right to be angry and mad at him. He deserved it. "For someone who knows the pain of being betrayed by the one you love. I didn't expect this from you," Beabianca lowered her head in disappointment.

Her heart was burning as though set on fire, Yet, she couldn't master the energy to be angry at him. The pain in her heart won over the anger and drained her of all strength.

"Have fun with your wife at the party," she let out. Beabianca hurried passed Joem to the bed. She threw her body on the bed. Beabianca hugged her legs to her chest and closed her eyes.

"Had you loved me you wouldn't have broken me," Joem's words to Avia echoed in her head. "You would have cared enough to stay with me., to hold my hand, to love me. You would have stayed because I needed you. I loved you and I still wait for you."

There were no words that Beabianca could say that would express the pain she felt when she heard him say those words to Avia. He stood there in his senses and spoke as though she didn't exist in his life. Joem wasn't under the influence which would give him an excuse for behaving the way he did. That is what hurt the most.

The man she loved saw another woman as the one who got away while he was with her, He was waiting for Avia to come back to him while leading her on. Promising her forever when his heart belonged to someone else. The pain was excruciatingly unbearable. When the revenge plan started Beabianca had pictured how much Avia would cry and regret the choice she made back them. She never imagined that it would be her in bed, crying, heartbroken and in despair.

Joem tiptoed over to the bed. He reached out to touch Beabianca's shoulder and comfort her, his hand remained mid-air. He wasn't able to touch her after touching Avia. It felt wrong to apologise to Beabianca, since Avia arrived it seemed apologies were all he had for her. Joem pulled the blanket and covered Beabianca. He clenched his fists. Walked into the bathroom to take a cold shower.

A million thoughts raced through his mind. Thoughts of what a terrible lover he was to have disappointed Beabianca by embracing Avia over and again since they arrived home. Thoughts of the best way to inflict untold pain to his wife and make her rue the day that she dared to come between him and Beabianca. Thoughts of how to make it up to Beabianca and fix their relationship before things spiral out of control.

He stood under the shower. Cold water trailing down his body, it was the second shower he was taking that night. Joem focused his thoughts on the party. It was something he could control. The guests had been invited and all of them had confirmed their invitation. It pleased him that there will be a full house of people to watch Avia fall.

At first he had planned to show the world a fake image of their marriage. Putting on an act of a happily married couple but the plan changed when he saw Beabianca's head fall from his actions. If his girlfriend couldn't hold her head high, then Avia had no right to do so either. Joem brushed his hand over his hair, he leaned against the wall, replaying the memory of the day Avia broke up with him in his mind. Reminding himself who the hero and the villain of his story was. The memory refueled his passion to break Avia. It burned with a new degree. His heart ached to see Avia where the same expression Beabianca wore.

Unaware of what Joem was plotting Avia walked down the stairs with her head held high. Making plans for the party, how she would use it to get closer to Joem. She was going after what once belonged to her and as the saying goes, everything is fair in love and war. Joem might have married her to get revenge on her but she was determined to change their fake marriage and make it real.

Joem's hatred brought them together once again however her love was going to keep them together for ages to come. "I will make you mine once again," she vowed.

"I will destroy you, Avia," Joem vowed.
