chapter 2: teams

In the morning.

"Hey come on you two wake up, or we're going to be late to class!" James yelled as he shook Duncan

Duncan got out of bed and looked over at him.

"Come on." James said

"Alright." Duncan said as he got down. "Denzil get up." as he shook him

"Yes." Denzil said as he got up and looked at them

"Come on we got to go, or we'll be late." James said as he ran out the door

"Wait for us!" Duncan yelled as he pulled Denzil out of bed

They ran out and Arana came up to a window in her room.

"Why are they running? There is no school today." she said

They got to their classroom but there was no one there.

"Where is everyone?" James asked

"There is no school today." a teacher said as he came in

"James you dumb fuck I could've slept in more." Duncan said as he hit him on the head

"Sorry man I didn't know." James said

"Well you three go back to your dorms and get more sleep til we call everyone together." the teacher said as he walked out

"Well let's go." Duncan said as he went out of there and Denzil followed behind

They walked back to their dorms and sat there for a while.

"Hey, do you wonder what our team is?" James asked

"Sometimes." Duncan said

"But why do we have to do this?" Denzil asked

"For the tournament that is coming up." James said

"So that means we are going to fight teams from other schools?" Duncan asked

"And this one." James said

Then the intercom comes on. All students and weapons come outside.

"I guess that is our time to go." James said

They all went outside.

"Welcome today you will be getting your teams." the principal said

"Here we go." James said as he looked at Duncan

A list was put on a board (all teams have a color for their teams) this is the list. Lily 1 (ba), Alex 3 (s), Clell 2 (g) Leah 4 (s), Lee 2 (s), Leo 2 (g) Yuna 3 (g), Seila 3 (ba), Hazel 3 (g) Yuma 2 (s), Emma 4 (s), Bartz 1 (s) Duncan 1 (ts), James 1 (tg), Arana 3 (g) (this also has their years and what weapon they use too, bow & arrow abbreviation ba, sword abbreviation s, gun abbreviation g, twin sword abbreviation ts, twin guns abbreviation tg, sniper rifle sr) didn't notice it didn't have colors but it goes in order of 3 yellow, red, purple, green, and blue)

"Hey, we are on a team together." James said

"And who is this?" Duncan asked as he pointed to Arana's (last name Wills) name

"Your team member." a girl said as she came up to them

"It's you." Duncan said as he looked at her and Wateru

"Good to see you again." Arana said

"Is this the girl you met?" James asked

"Yes and honestly why did I get stuck with boys?" Arana asked

"Don't be asking us." James said

"Arana how are you already liking your team?" a girl said as she came up to her

"Lily! And I do not like this team." Arana said

"Sorry, you're going to have to talk to the teacher about that." Lily said

The teacher walked past them.

"Hey, can you change me out of this group?" Arana asked

"I'm sorry but there's nothing I can do this was the last group." he said

"What are these teams for?" Denzil asked

"For when we go on missions and for the tournament in 10 months." Arana said

"10 months!" James yelled

"Well let's get training." Duncan said as he started to run off

"Wait for me!" Denzil yelled as he ran after him

"What is he excited about?" Wateru asked

"Don't know." James said

"Alright, I finally meet more people." Duncan said inside his mind

"Duncan come back!" James yelled as he followed

He stopped and turned around and faced him.

"Did you forget your weapon?" James asked with Denzil on his back

"He has longer legs than I do, so this was quicker." Denzil said

"Alright, boys let's find an area to train and get to work." Arana said as she walked over

"Alright." James said as he let Denzil down

"By the way, Duncan, where are you going?" Denzil asked

"Well, I'm going to find a place to train." Duncan said

"Alright but I'm coming too." Denzil said as came up to him

They both walked off.

"Duncan sure is a strange one." Arana said

"Yes, he is." James said. "And I've known him for less than a month."

"Duncan where are we going?" Denzil asked

"We're almost there. I found this place as soon as we got here." Duncan said as they got to an open field

"Is this where you want us to train?" Denzil asked

"Yes, it is." Duncan asked

"Well let's go and get the others." Denzil said

"No need. But I was thinking we could use the woods, a bit farther away from the people. That way we can have all the room and team skills." Arana said

"Alright then." Duncan said

They started walking to the woods.

"Are we there yet?" James asked

"We are here now so be quiet." Arana said

"Finally!" James yelled

"Duncan are you ok?" Denzil asked

"Yes, I'm ok." Duncan said

"Well let's begin." Arana said
