Kendra clutched her ears as the sound increased, causing her to groan in pain. "What she needs is someone who can teach her to control her powers, she doesn't need distractions!" He shouted. "Ugh." Alarmed, William searched for her eyes, "What's wrong? Is it… is it cramps?" He asked with a conflicted face that might have looked funny at the time, but I was in pain. "Ugh… No, my head really… hurts." Kendra explained while slightly opening her eyes. "She and William are already mates, it was supposed to happen… It was out of our control." She heard her mother say. "We were mates," Azar said, with sadness in his voice. "I know… but that's different. You and I were just… were um-``''My feelings haven't changed." "Then why… Why did you break up with me all of those years ago?" Kendra felt the hesitation when Azar spoke, "You know why… Jamal was your mate, not me."
