Chapter 50

At 7 am earlier that day:

"Look who is here and at this time...."Milady spoke looking at Ammy who was walking downstairs, fully dressed up.

"Morning babes,"Ammy greeted her instead.

"Morning...you really look pretty,"Milady responded smiling warmly at her.

"And you look happier today,"Ammy responded,she too smiling warmly at her.

"I have every reason to be...but not talk about me, where are you going to?"Milady curiously asked.

"To Max's place...I really wanna see him,"she responded calmly.

"Aaaw, did someone miss my brother now?....am smelling missments all over,"Milady teased her.Ammy's brows narrowed a little at her words.

"Definitely not...who on earth can even miss that psycho?"she blubbered.

"You ofcourse miss, who else..."Milady teased her even more.

"Okay fine...I will be leaving now,"Ammy responded.

"Alright but you won't find him at his place at this time, maybe go to his office,"Milady informed her.

"But I don't even know where his office is..."Ammy confessed in a low voice.Milady looked and her and chuckled.

"That sounds crazy but am driving to work so I'll drop you but let's have Breakfast first,"Milady offered and they sat at the table and a maid servant served them.After their meal, the two went out together without their guards and Milady drove the car to Maxwell's office.The car drove into the fancy office owned by the great Maxwell Storm.The place was well kept and very expensive looking.

"Woow!...this place is something else,"Ammy muttered as she stepped out of the car.

"It's a wonder that you haven't been at your fiancee's work place... anyways here we are and I have to go now, see ya,"Milady spoke before driving out of the office.Ammy checked her surroundings carefully.

"Why are there many guards here?...it's not a prison nor a state house nor... Max's mansion,"she muttered softly to herself as she walked towards the door.The guards held the door open for her to get inside.

"Thank you,"she murmured to the guard as she stepped inside the office.

"Good morning ma'am, welcome to SE Company...how may I help you?"the secretary asked her.

"Good morning, am here to see Mr Maxwell Storm,"she responded calmly.

"You have an appointment?"the secretary asked her.

"Not really....just wanted to see him, he knows me too well and I thought I wouldn't find him at his house at this time and it's really important that I see him,"Ammy explained herself calmly but she didn't mention the fact that he is her fiance.

"Miss,nobody meets the CEO without an appointment and that is if it's necessary for the CEO to intervene so I don't think you will be able to meet the CEO,"the secretary explained.Ammy sighed calmly and continued her asking.

"Miss secretary, I understand that there are rules that govern this company but please, I need to see him,"Ammy continued pleading.Just then, Monica got into the general department office and found the two still arguing.Monica moved closer to the secretary's desk to know what was happening when she saw Ammy there.She was sure she had seen her at the Storm Mansion during Max's engagement but she couldn't remember she was the fiance.She thought she should intervene since she might be a relative or someone important to him.Little did she know that she really was.

"What's going on here?"Monica asked moving closer to them.Ammy turned and saw the beautiful lady asking her.

"Hey...I came to see Max,"Ammy answered her and the two secretaries were shocked by how she called him by his first name.And Monica was convinced that she must be close to him.

"That's fine miss but Mr Storm isn't here yet.Will you be patient enough to wait?"Monica asked her politely.

"Yeah.... ofcourse, thank you,"Ammy appreciated her while smiling friendly at her and Monica returned the smile and took her to the waiting room.She had been sitting there for almost two hours her attention fully buried to her phone, when she saw all the staff members standing in a line as three men walked passed them, escorted by heavily armed guards.She stood out of curiosity to see who had made everyone standing and her eyes fell on the most handsome man she had ever seen.He looked perfect in his suit and his freed hair hanging proudly above his shoulders.Her lips subconsciously curved up into a beautiful smile at his sight and she sat back on the seat when he stepped out of the office and the staff got back to their work places.Some minutes later, Monica got to the waiting room.

"Miss, Mr Storm is free to see you now but he is heading to his office so I will take you there,"Monica offered while smiling at her.If she had to win Max to herself then she had to win his family and friends to her side.Ammy stood and followed her out.They were walking towards the elevator when Max walked out of the Research and Production department and was heading towards the elevator as well.Ammy couldn't understand why or how but she couldn't contain her gladness when she saw him and her lips parted and called out to him without her consent.

"Max.."she called to him smiling.Max stood fixed on his position when he heard the voice and the rest of the staff at that floor turned to them to look who had the guts and confidence to call their boss with by his first name.Max spined around and her eyes met her, his Ammy.His lips curved up and smiled at her shortly but that short smile made the pain he had caused her some weeks before disappear.The staff members saw their boss smiled and they were dumbfounded.

"Did you see him smile?"one of the staff asked the other.

"Miracles are real man,"the other staff responded to him in a low voice.Max walked slowly towards her and embraced her tightly before everyone, making most of them gasp in shock and surprise.Ammy embraced him back but what he did next was unexpected and left Ammy shocked.Max loosened his grip from her.He slipped his strong arm to her waist and yanked her towards himself that there was no space between them.His left hand reached behind her neck and pulled her in for a long and hot deep kiss.He sucked her lips hard as if he was expecting something from them.He slid his tongue inside her mouth and deepened his kiss.He finally let go of her and they were both panting hard.All the staff members stared at them wide eyed as their jaws were hanging loose.Ammy looked at the handsome face before her still shocked.He had warned her to stay away from his life,that was him as well and he never even apologized and she came to apologize instead and he kissed her that passionately before everyone.The pain she felt that night came back doubled and tears began trickling down the corners of her eyes as her gaze was still steady on his handsome face.Max held her face in his palms and wiped the tears away from her eyes affectionately.

"Ammy...am sorry for what I did that day,I was..."Max started apologizing but Ammy interrupted him.

"You were pissed off by my question?...I guess I should be the one apologizing instead,"Ammy spoke smiling at him.She was happy that he cared and he finally apologized before she could.Monica who was behind Ammy couldn't believe what she was seeing and hearing and she was hurt when she saw him kissing her so passionately before everyone.She couldn't take it anymore and tears were threatening to fall off her eyes and she didn't want anyone to notice that so she walked to the washrooms and locked herself in.

"I understand that I don't have the right to ask anything about you, I was just carried away that night,am sorry,"Ammy apologized.

"That's not true my love, you have every right to know because I lo..."Max shut his mouth when he realized where his conversation was heading to before he could spill it.Ammy held her breath as she waited to hear what he was about to say but he didn't say it.It was then that it dawned to him that everyone was watching them.

"Why don't you come to my office?"he spoke and carefully took her hand in his and led her to his personal elevator.

"If I have the right as you say, then why didn't you even call to apologize?"Ammy asked when they got to his office.Max was walking infront of her when she asked the question.He turned to her and looked at her wondering if he was to tell her that he had no intention of apologizing until some hours back.

"Let that be Ammy, I did now and it's settled,"came Max's response and Ammy just nodded at his words.Max moved closer to her again and took her palms in his.

"Hey...I am so sorry and I won't do that again, okay?"he continued coaxing her and pulled her in for another passionate kiss.
