Chapter Eleven

Once the door to the room closed behind him, Aaron's smile faded from his face. Now appearing as nothing but a simple frown. The thought he had of having fun had vanished in under a few seconds. He was left speechless, and winded, as he stared at a tall dark figure, lurking in the corner. Covered in dark shadows, and wandering black masks. The shadows covered him so well, his face wasn't at all visible. Not a single feature. Although nothing seemed different from the shadows he seen while at the club. So it was easy for him to match these shadows to those ones. He'd made the truth come to him in under a couple seconds. This man, really was the one who'd rescued him. Had he not been there, Aaron didn't even wanted to think what could've happened.

''Your the person who saved me, back at the club? Aren't you?'' Aaron's voice echoed off the walls, and was sent back to him in under a few seconds. Cringing a little as he took in the sound of his desperate tone. He hated the sound of his own voice. Nothing about it even so much as matched his body. His bulit was a tough, and muscular one. His voice, weak, and nothing about bravery what's so ever. His voice wasn't low nor was it high. But somewhat in the middle. All he knew, was that he hated it, and wished it could've been different.

''You don't need to wear that disguise while your in this room. I already know where you come from.'' The figure pointed out. The strength of his deep, dark voice, gave Aaron's chills down his spine almost immediately. But as he was about to take out the color alternating contacts, he paused. With confusion on his face, and so many questions rolling around in the back of his mind, he wasn't sure which was more important.

''A friend of yours we met, said you owed him a favor? What sort of favor?''

''I don't think that concerns you. My business is my own, now drop the subject.'' The man hissed angrily. Seeming now to be pissed off, rather than calm and collected as before. Aaron was sure, he'd struck a nerve, probably best to refrain from asking about work.

''You said I don't need to wear this disguise anymore? How come? What's so special about you, I can reveal my true appearance?''

''Take out the contacts, or don't take them out? Either way, I can see right through you. Your just like the others, I see no difference....A weakling cold one that got into to many fights, and eventually found himself banished. Why do I keep thinking things are different there? In Nation Valley-I mean? Before I was banished and sent here, the valley was horrible. So much crime, so much violence....Honestly, I think the valley could've done better without my bullshit.''

''You-you were the one causing all that violence? I heard about that, although I was to young to do anything. My father-however? Talked about taking you down multiple times. I found myself growing stronger, every time he spoke of justice.'' Aaron paused, as he thought of his father. How even though he was a horrible parent, Aaron found himself having learned a few things. What it truly meant to defend and protect someone. How the talk of good faith and justice, can really shape a person...

''You talk of justice, but by you being here, right now, talking to me, only means you were banished. Sent here because your a criminal. And a awful one at that, if you were sent here. Most people don't tell me their sob stories, when they pay me visits. But you? You talk of so much honour and true justice? But I bet you don't even know the meaning of the word.''

Aaron groaned his teeth as he took in the words of the mouthy raven man. The simple mocking words he kept going on about, bashing his only father. Those words. Only made Aaron want to use his powers on the guy, but he paused and stopped his urge, when he remembered Edward. Who was still outside, waiting for him.

''Look man! The truth is, I wasn't banished to Earth. Not like all the others you've seen, from Nation Valley. I was given a time limit of a few days. A few days to bring back someone who was banished here, because of something I did. I was given permission by the king himself, to come here, through the portal in the castle, and return with him. As with the prince's help.'' Aaron found himself feeling a completely new feeling. One he never thought he'd experience ever again. The last time, having been when his father first left his house. That night, he could still remember the look on his mothers pale, tear stained face. How the heartbreak spreaded that night. From him, to her, to her, to him. A never ending pattern. One that didn't come with matching or multi colored patterns. This pattern, was as dark as the night sky.

Sorrow. Sorrow traveled through his body in seconds. His muscles felt tingly, as for the first time, his muscles ached, and throbbed. He wasn't sure whether the pain he was feeling was because of lack of sleep, or simply because, his body was the one doing the harming. Never in his nineteen years of being alive, had he truly given himself a moment to reflect. Not a single moment for growth. The only thing he'd managed to do to himself, throughout those long dark years, was build up his feelings. His emotions. Locked away. Never to be spoken up.

Not even thought about in his own thoughts, his own private thoughts. Alec had never heard them. But he never planned to. Aaron wouldn't allow him too. Not even a single emotion. Fear would over take him, each and every time, the words were about to come out his mouth. He'd retreat. He'd live his life in fear, because self worth, was never there for him. Never something he'd been able to experience.

As the long length of the black cloak he wore around himself, lightly shrugged and twisted every time he moved, he was left puzzled. Unsure of what to say next, and unsure of himself. To puzzled to even continue his story. However, there was a small second, that he could make out a twisted smile under the blanket of darkness, from the man in the corner. The man who resembled those dark colors. The ones he had seen before passing out in the club.

The colors and spirt of the legendary raven...

''Listen kid, I don't need to hear your entire story, to get a feel of what kind of person you are. And if you say, you weren't banished because of something criminal, then I have no reason to not believe you. Plus, I saw your friend outside before you came in. Prince Edward, agreed to travel along and help you? Well, you must mean a lot to him.''

''I already know how he feels towards me. I don't need to be reminded.'' Aaron mumbled.

''Sure, sure, all alright, just thought you wanted to hear it from someone other than yourself. I can see your confused about a few things. Maybe even doubting the way you feel towards that ''special person'' you mentioned? Possibility perhaps?''

"Why would you want to put yourself through something like that?" The man groaned deeply, before clearing his throat.

''Putting myself through what? I've been doing just fine thinking through things on my own.'' Aaron replied.

''Doesn't seem like it to me. Like I said, you seem confused, and the longer you keep denying your feelings, the more confused you'll become. And all that confusion has to be put into something. You'll only become bitter, and truly never happy. Don't you want to be happy?''

Aaron couldn't think of anything to reply with, so he just closed his eyes for a few seconds. As he did this, the thoughts cutting into him, matched to vanish, and melt away, just as he forced them to. He wasn't going to reflect on his emotional relations any longer.

''Drop the subject, all aright? I just need your help locating someone. Then, I'll be leaving.'' Aaron ordered. His bitter emotional state returning, as he pitted the lock on his heart, harder, till he couldn't feel the blood pulsing through anymore.

''Does this person have a name?''

''Alec Kamari. A young man with dark red hair and brown eyes. He was supposed to have been sent here a few days ago.'

''Alec Kamair? I don't remember getting any information regrading a person with that name. I don't know how much help I'll be, without that information.....'' The man paused.

''I don't understand, shouldn't you have it? I thought you were in charge of every banished person, who was banished from Nation Valley?! I thought your friend was telling the truth!'' Aaron's voice grew higher in tone, and his expression shared perfectly to the emotions he felt inside. Which was anger. ''That blind bastard! He'll pay for deceiving me!''

''Now, now, kid. There's no need to hurt my man. What he told you was the truth. I'm the man you come to when dealing with banished people. But regards to the person you seek, there might be another possibility as to why his information isn't with me?''

''Which is?'' Aaron hissed.

''Your not going to like me for saying this, but, I don't think your friend is here.....I don't think he was ever banished here.''

''Bastard! What the hell does any of that mean!'' Aaron cursed his anger completely taking him over, he couldn't stop himself when he was suddenly charging towards the man. As the door to the room was heard swinging open, he was quick to dodge as he felt the extremely hot temperatures of flames. Edward's flames.

They shot towards him just like a gun or blaster. The shots were perfectly aimed straight at him. Managing to dodge a single one, followed by others, Aaron felt himself starting to sweat, which only caused wetness to form around his face. Under his cheeks, and around his brow. As he pushed his normal sized nails into the man's chest, he made sure to cause as much pain as he could to the man. To the man who was supposed to be helping him. Aaron was completely blinded at this point. Blinded with anger, and as the reality to think straight disappeared from his mind, he was starting to act unreasonable.

Screaming out as large amounts of pain shot through him, he was pulled back from the man. Muscular arms wrapping around him, tightening, and pressing into him, as his feet was dragged across the floor. Thrashing and struggling to be freed, he felt Edward's warm hands stroking him. Rubbing against him for comfort. Comforting him as best as he could.

''Bastard! Let go of me! Right now!'' He ordered. ''I need to know what happened to Alec!''

''Aaron?! Listen to me, this isn't how you get information! By hurting him, your not helping anyone! If I let go of you now, you might kill him!'' Edward shouted. ''Your not leaving.''

''I don't even have my powers! What damage am I going to do?!''

Edward's face lowered almost in seconds. His angered expression was shattered to pieces in seconds, as those words passed through his ears. His eyes widened, and then frozen, as the hopes of a joke, were unlikely. ''What? What do you mean you don't have your powers?!'' Edward asked, a little shocked, as his voice went low.

''I didn't tell you, cause I was angry with you, plus I was confused.....My powers vanished late last night. While I was unconscious and when I woke up, I felt different. Its because their gone...'' Aaron's voice went so low, Edward was sure what he was saying wasn't lies. Aaron was a lot of things, a liar? No.

''I'm mortal, Edward...'' Aaron whispered, his voice drowning off the walls, as he sunk into Edward's strong arms. The black cloak he wore, acting as a shield for the both of them, as Edward hung his head. Torn by the information he just received...And with no reasoning for an explanation.
