Chapter 42: They aren't Alone

Geri and Laurence looked at each other for a moment in bewilderment before the Security Officer turned a questioning look back to Smythe. "Does she know about this?"

The priest shook his head. "Not that I am aware of. We have only just begun. Some have messages to give her. Some, like myself, have information."

"But won't you get caught?" asked Laurence with more than a little concern in his voice. It was a terrible risk these people were taking upon themselves, but Father Smythe just shrugged as if the idea was negligible.

"We expect it to happen from time to time but consider the cost worth the results if it means the corporation will be exposed." The priest ran a hand over his thinning hair. "And nobody knows how many of us there are or the identities of everyone involved so there will always be some left to rebuild if many of us are caught."
