Burn to oblivion

Julian POV :

I never liked entering a dungeon. Although it is similar to going to a portal, the feeling it gives is entirely different.

Entering a dungeon makes me nauseous. Sometimes it even takes a few minutes for my senses to return to normal.

Kirin took the form of a butterfly and sat on my shoulder like last time. Looking at my other shoulder I see Secre still not back to her senses.

The place I was currently standing had very little light so I used my flame birds to light up the place and waited for Secre to come to her senses.

I was standing in a place that could be called a tunnel made of thick vines. The ground was made of sticky mud and a lot of puddles.

I cut apart a few vines and found that were made of mana.

I hope the vines are not poisonous.

"Aye Kiddo….we have some problem here. I lost the track of time here " Kirin said. Sensing my confusion about his words, he continued.

"As I spirit, I can connect with nature to keep track of time which usually doesn't get disrupted even in Dungeon but this dungeon has something wrong with it.

So expect the time to flow differently here and in the real world " Kirin said.

"I suspect this dungeon has something to do with time magic and very complex spatial magic "

This is a troublesome matter.

I know this dungeon has something wrong with it as the energy released from the portal didn't really feel like it belonged to a dungeon. It can either be a space created by illusions, a space made of mana, or a separate dimension where everything is real.

"I am back at my senses, we can proceed now " hearing the approval from my traveling companion, I decided to start walking.

"Yeah let's go… Wait a minute !!! did you just speak Secre? "

Kirin and I snapped our heads in the direction of the bird sitting on my shoulder with an emotion of surprise.

"Seems like I am able to speak here. Nice to meet you two, my name is Secre Swallowtail, a former human but now a bird " Secre said in a voice that was not too pleasant to hear.

"Not even five-ten minutes in and weird things started to happen already, I hope we don't regret this dungeon kiddo " Kirin sighed.

*******

It's been about 30 minutes since we entered this dungeon. I have been walking continuously on the path made of vines but the exit is nowhere to be seen.

At some point, I came across ponds with water manifested with insects so I had to go by the walls and roofs like a spider.

I was not interested in touching that water.

Secre seemed very happy to be able to speak and told both of us her life story and how she ended up there.

Knowing about something and hearing it from someone else is completely different.

"Seems like you are very compatible with forbidden magic miss or else the seal you describe would have completely erased your existence. " Kirin said.

"The devil you describe is probably a high-class devil who hasn't completely manifested out of the underworld or defeated after manifestation or else your seal would have never worked " he continued.

She described the last moments she spent with her master in which I could feel the pain in her voice.

"Don't worry Secre, I will help to break your seal and the first wizard king's seal when the time comes " I reassured her calming her down.

Secre knew that once the first wizard king was revived, he would only be staying alive for 4 to 5 hours before permanently leaving the world.

I kept talking to Secre as her voice was most probably due to the effect of the dungeon and go away after we left this place.

After walking for another ten minutes I finally saw an exit in the form of a source of light coming from a hole ahead.

Getting out of the hole, my face was hit by a fresh breeze.

"Now this is an amazing site "

In front of me was a large forest with greenery everywhere. I was standing near the top of the highest hill. The clouds covered the sky with no sun to be seen.

To get an overall view of the total area, I summoned my wings and flew higher.

To my surprise, we were in the middle of an island surrounded by endless oceans.

"Now, how do we leave this place ?"

"I think since there is a forest, there might be creatures we might have to defeat to get to the next zone, " Secre said.

"Or search for some door somewhere "

I flapped my wings and landed on top of another hill to see things from a different angle. That is when a heard a roar and a large winged creature approach where I stood.

"Looks like a dragon from the storybooks "

"It indeed is a dragon…those reptiles started going extinct around my time. " Kirin said.

"That creature doesn't seem too happy to see us "

The dragon looked terrifying from close. It was around 7 meters tall and had a complete green body, most probably a wind dragon. Going by the energy, it was most likely a high-tier beast.

The dragon opened its mouth and released a beam of dense mana. I created a spear of mana and threw it towards its mouth which cut through the beam but got destroyed before it could reach its mouth.

I coated mana into my legs and dashed to dodge the beam that hit the area where I was standing creating a pit that looked like it was created using very sharp blades.

Instead of attacking first, I decided to test out the power of its attack first. Going by the damage, I can get injured if I am not careful.

With my Sharingan, I can say for sure that the dragon in front of me was completely made of mana with artificial consciousness so Genjutsu and mana pressure will have no effect.

I got serious and created multiple holes in the body of the dragon with condensed flame beams and clashed with the beast for a few minutes before destroying it.

The beast uttered another roar before I destroyed it out of existence with my red flame-coated daggers.

The defense and attack power of this creature was very impressive. The penetration power of the wind attacks had the power to cut through my mana reinforcement.

I didn't get any forbidden mana but managed to add the creature's mana into my mana core. As Dungeons had no natural mana, I had to use this method to fill my supplies.

All of a sudden, I heard a loud rustling from all over the forest as green blurry things kept rising to the sky.

Within a few seconds, the entire sky was covered with hundreds of high-tier wind dragons all of them looking at me releasing their dense killing intent.

"You messed up big time kiddo, " Kirin said with a bit of nervousness.

"Nah, all I see is lizards getting ready to get burned to oblivion"
